Anyone still wrench on their NSX (g1)? Starter motor change

My starter is giving me troubles (already did a battery swap) and think it's time for a rebuild.

Has anyone done a swap themselves? Any pointers?

No lift and hoping to do this on my driveway/covered garage. From what I can tell it's on the lower part of motor and NOT easily visible but hoping I can get it off from the top.

Custom build Robotech tribute watch

Just found this sub and first time posting here but glad I’m not the last remaining Robotech fan left.

As an introduction, sharing pics of my just completed Robotech tribute watch.

Built on an old quartz Miyota diver watch. Custom printed (color laser) dial. Not for sale, is my personal passion build.

Vintage 1970’s Ricoh 909 day and date - working

Just arrived yesterday, 70’s Ricoh 909, with both day (left) and date (right) windows.

Working well but adjusting regulation as it lost 4 mins in a day. Still usable as-is.

Has some battle scars and dial blemishes but that’s what I like.

At first I disliked the band but its original and warming up on me.

Hydro modded teal/green F91W

F91W custom faceplate mod

Finished my first F91W customization and so excited to put it into wrist rotation.

James Bond Moonraker tribute with red filter mod.

I’m still thinking of reversing the display (red digits on black) if I can increase readability.

Already planning the next build. Including pics of mockups and image of an Acura NSX tribute that may be next.

F91W faceplate mod - mockup

Not ready yet but sharing my first Faceplate mod on a F91W.

Based on another NASA watch shared here, I thought I’d try my hand at recreating the style.

Opinions on which should be the final faceplate?

  1. Moonraker James bond
  2. Man with Golden Gun James bond
  3. Original NASA

Still need to cleanup the image and shrink display window to fit.

A tribute to my childhood, Transformers Autobot edition. I left the world map clear after mocking it up in red (pic).
