Back and Forth live in Toronto last night

Thought y'all would appreciate seeing another new song performed live where she absolutely ate with the live vocals and choreo.

She's so pitch perfect live and if you compare this to the recording, aside from the backing vocals during the bridge and hook you can very clearly hear her changing up the cadence and runs especially during the hook. She's so good fr and it's really hitting me now how amazing this show and setlist was. Wish I could see it again and hope everyone going to upcoming dates has the best time

Folded for a sold out Toronto crowd tonight

So happy to finally see her again since 4 years ago at this same venue and our Crash tour date being cancelled in 2024. Her vocals were so on point and the choreo.was crazy. Who else was there tonight??

Black Garlic Shio at Hokkaido Santouka available for a limited time

Anyone well versed in our ramen scene already knows what's up with this place. Their regular shio has been my personal fav gold standard for many years now so I had to give this new limited time take on it a shot last night and can confirm it's a certified banger of a ramen bowl.

It's made with their regular shio broth so it has that same familiar taste but with the black garlic and different toppings and seasonings kicking it up a notch. The chashu in particular is prepared and served very differently chopped up with a charred smokey chewy bacony taste that goes amazing with the black garlic broth and the pickled onions lightly sweeten the broth around it the longer you leave it in.

Honestly I've tried and reviewed almost every well rated frequently recommended ramen spot in the GTA and this place continues to consistently blow me away once again by adding a whole new bowl that easily lives up to the rest of the menu that I hope will become a permanent addition. We had this at the Yonge/Eglinton location and I'm assuming it's at the others too but maybe call and confirm if you want to try I as it doesn't show up on the website for any of the locations but it's there and very worth trying if you enjoy black garlic ramen or good ramen in general

Toronto night 2 crowd singing along to A Couple Minutes 🗣️🥲

This was one of the loudest and most on pitch crowd sing alongs I've heard all year. We were so loud all night but this moment was one of my favs in the whole set

Anyone else find the final stage column too easy?

Rhythm heaven vet here since the OG DS game that was so happy to see it back. This isn't a complaint since I loved every minute I've spent with the game but I'm just sad it's over and was wondering if anyone else found it too easy to clear with all medals?

On the final stage I got the medals for remix 16 and 19 on first try, 17, 18 and 20 on 2nd try because a couple parts tripped me up the first run. Getting gold on remix 20 so quickly was especially crazy because I think I remember the final remixes in Fever and Megamix taking me at least several tries to pass and medal. I guess going for perfects is the real challenge now but I was kinda shocked at how quickly and easily I got all medals compared to past entries.

Was this game easier for any of you other series vets as well?

Illenium closing out night 2

This was my first time ever at VLED. It's crazy I was planning to just veg out home this weekend until my friend working the event hooked up a wristband so I pulled up tonight and had a blast. Galantis earlier was fire. The weather is looking not great tomorrow but I'm hoping to still pull up again because tonight was so good. Who else was there tonight or going tomorrow??

J. Cole rapping his ass off for a sold out night 2 crowd at Scotiabank Arena last night

Who else was here last night?? This show was absolutely heat and probably among the last times we'll see a rap lyricist of this caliber who really gives a shit about the craft of spitting bars with minimal backing tracks and knows how to rock a crowd in a fully sold out arena. The ASAP show I posted here a little while back was hype but compared to this he hardly rapped at all leaning on the backing vocals and production all night. This on the other hand was a RAP show for rap fans I'm glad I experienced and was happy to see Toronto hip hop fans show out for 2 nights back to back

Tale Of 2 Citiez at a sold out night 2 in Toronto last night

Amazing show last night, been waiting years for this since I missed KOD tour in 2018 and it lived up to the wait and hype. Loved finally hearing this live and the crowd being so hype for it. Peep my wifey's hat near the end. Who else was there last night??

J. Cole performing for a sold out night 2 crowd at Scotiabank Arena last night

Great Toronto hip hop crowd and show last night. The last time Cole had his own headline show here was in 2018 for KOD tour which I couldn't make so I was waiting years for this and had an amazing time. The crowd was good vibes all night and that girl who did the bar for bar challenge killed it. Who else was there the last night or on Monday?

Dracula with a sold out night 2 Toronto crowd singing along last night

Loved this song when I first heard it but it hit way different live and loud with the crowd singing along

Still buzzing from last night and can't believe how good this show was. Had a blast moving around the floor getting different views including walking right up to the furthest rear barricade of B stage for an awesome intimate view of that part. Easily one of the best shows I've seen this year in glad I was able to experience

Grilled jumbo shrimp plate from Ghadir seafood in Scarborough

When I went for the shawarma a few weeks back and checked out the seafood side, this was calling out to me which I went back for last night. 2 skewers of jumbo shrimp with 3 sides for $26 and we added a fattoush salad on the side. These shrimp are thicc and juicy and the seasoning is delicious. Me and wifey shared all this and I also had tried the chicken shawarma sandwich how they recommend with the garlic, fries and and pickle inside which was fire too. Absolutely goated Scarborough spot I slept on far too long but will be back often now

Richmond Station Roast Beef Tenderloin, Confit Salmon and Mushroom Tartine from new summer menu

Celebrated another special occasion here last night at the chef's counter and was surprised to see the menu has changed significantly since our last visit a few months back

I had the beef tenderloin special again which was totally different from last time I got it, this time served with grilled asparagus and shittake mushrooms which went together perfectly. Excellent meal for $51 considering tip included here

The Confit Salmon and Mushroom Tartine are new this season replacing the arctic char and fried oyster mushrooms which were staples for a while. The salmon dish is crazy rich in flavor same with the tartine though that had a bit of a sharp lime citrus after taste I wasn't crazy about but it's a really loaded bite and both are worthy additions to the menu.

There's a whole bunch of other new dishes including new takes on the chicken and duck, new spaghetti and potato gnocchi dishes I'd like to come back and try at some point, hopefully they're still here. Impeccable food and service last night as always that lived up to the occasion as always

Late night happy hour eats from LOCAL in Liberty Village at 11:30pm last night

Popped in here for the first time for happy hour after a show at Coca Cola Coliseum last night. This place always looks crazy busy when we're in the area so I've avoided it but made an 11pm reservation to give it a shot and was impressed

Happy hour deals were tacos $10.50, shrimp dumplings $13.50, double fries $6, Sapporo draft $6.50. The tacos were surprisingly really good, shrimp dumplings had tons of flavor and even the fries were great. Don't ask about the salad but all the happy hour items slapped after a long night out. This is going to be our go to spot after shows at Coca Cola and RBC in the future

Madison Beer performing Yes Baby for a sold out Toronto crowd last night

Got an invite to this sub yesterday hours before seeing Madison Beer live last night so thought I'd share this clip and little about the experience for anyone who's a fan here.

She performed from 915-10:50 and hit all my favs songs in the set including this to open and Make You Mine and Bittersweet towards the end both of which sounded great live and had the crowd popping off. The middle of the setlist wasn't my fav as it was a lot of ballads one after the other but the crowd seem to be having a good time all night and the high points made for a great show overall.

Thuy also did an awesome opening set though a lot of the crowd didn't seem to know her and we were the only ones in our section standing and dancing for her set but we had fun during her performance

Did anyone else go to this show last night or other dates on the tour and what did you think?? I'm at pop shows all the time and looking forward to contributing to this sub more!

Make You Mine live for a sold out Toronto crowd last night

Amazing show last night and finally getting to hear this song live after having it on repeat for like the past year made my night. Loved the live drummer and all the songs hit harder with him. She has that superstar aura that she's probably going to be doing full sized arenas next tour. The fans in the rows in front of us were so hype all night loved to see it. Who else was there last night??
