Simba on good morning Britain discussing his mother having motor neurone disease

Glad he’s getting a platform to discuss this and the impact it has on children becoming careers. Lovely to hear him talk about his mother and how things started for her. Really wish we got to see him talk about her on the show but I’m glad now maybe this will help someone see the signs earlier.

Keep seeing on twitter something to do with Jasmine in a poka dot dress and people are complaining, can anyone explain? Not much context to the posts

People commenting on islanders weight

What is actually wrong with people. I’ve seen so many posts on TikTok, instagram and twitter regarding kavan and Scott’s weight. I remember uma also receiving criticism. I’m sure there has been many other islanders who have also received these nasty comments.

I’m curious if the people saying horrible things have ever had a change to their body. After my first child I had so many comments about how ‘skinny’ I was then after my second ‘oh you didn’t bounce back this time’. It’s been three years & I’ve not changed my diet, I haven’t started working out. I do not care. However im sure if the internet was commenting on it then it would impact me.

People can be happy in themselves however they look. But if enough nasty comments come their way this can have devastating effects on people’s mental health.

Have we learnt nothing about the consequences of words.

Simba and angie recent interview

It was an interview with capital radio I seen it on TikTok. Simba was talking about them being given options for their finale outfits and how his only option was them sparkly jorts, he was also offered a denim jacket. He said that kav & Lorenzo were offered different suits. Like what the hell?

For ND people with ND siblings growing up

Both my children are autistic, daughter 7 & son 2. They sort of set each other off even though they are so similar they are just easily overwhelmed by each other. One a fortnight they both have a day away without each other with me and their father, their interests are just a bit different atm & tbh I think they need a break from each other sometimes with only them individually getting all the attention. Is there any tips you would give like things you wish your parents had done?

Sharon needles

I’ve not kept up with the US show probably since the UK one started and I did only watch a few seasons of the UK. I couldn’t watch it again after the Vivienne passed away, so I’m not sure how many seasons there’s been in the UK since then. I’ve not really kept up with many of the girls, but I seen a tweet tonight saying that Sharon needles was the worst winner that she’s awful & tyra is second. I’ve seen all the awful stuff tyra has said but what happened with Sharon? I don’t think I followed her on social media or anything I was quite young when her season was on so I didn’t really follow any of them on instagram or anything. Could someone give me a quick overview of what happened? All the comments were talking about how bad her behaviour was but none really explain it

The new Netflix documentary

Hearing the families speak was incredibly heart breaking. I lost my sister and when xana and kaylees sisters were speaking about losing their sisters in such a horrific way had me in bits. I know what it’s like to lose a sister but in that way it must be so unbearable. The strength the families and friends have shown is incredible.

Kaylee, Maddison, xana & Ethan were obviously so loved and it speaks for the kind of people they were. I hope they can be remembered for the lives they lived rather than what happened to them. The videos of them enjoying their lives were so lovely to see, they all just seemed so fun & bubbly.

A child removed my child from a roundabout yesterday and I can’t stop thinking about

We went down to the park and there was a group of I think siblings as they were the only other people in the park & their parents were there. My daughter is 7 years old & has autism she is non verbal. She went up to the round about they were on it & I heard one of the children saying ‘why isn’t she talking’ I went up and explained to the mother. I thought maybe they just don’t know about autism and she could tell them to be kind.

My daughter and my son went off playing on different things for a while. She went back to the roundabout and the children were still on it and she sat down(she loves spinning) the biggest child he must have been around 11 grabbed her by the wrist and took her off the roundabout. The parents watched this and said nothing. I took my two children and left.

I wanted to say to the parents but honestly looked like they didn’t care so I thought what’s the point let’s get out of here and go get some ice cream. But I just keep thinking about it. It made me so upset that she actually sat down beside other children and she never does it and this was what happened.

Edit - I just want to say thank you to everyone who was helpful & supportive in the comments and private messages. It’s lovely to speak with other parents who understand the stress. Thanks for all the kindness ❤️

Ethan on after sun

What a u turn. He seemed so understanding on the main show with priya. Yet he was so bitter on aftersun & it seemed like he was enjoying her getting backlash. How is he not understanding that she didn’t see him like that. It’s irrelevant if her and aiden ended up a mess she didn’t romantically like Ethan at all. Found it strange how much he changed his attitude towards priya when he seen how the public were acting towards her.

Mica & Simba did the same thing

Am I missing something here, they wanted to get to know each other Simba acted how he acted so she backed off. What else has happened in between that people are so cool with Simba but hate mica?

I always feel like I’ve not done enough for my children’s birthdays

I didn’t have the best childhood. My mother always tried her best, my father was emotionally, financially & physically abusive. When she finally got away from him we didn’t have much when it came to toys & stuff. I know at Christmas majority of our toys were donations. I remember going to school & feeling like I had to lie to my friends about what presents I got & not because I wasn’t happy with my stuff but I was very aware they were getting a lot more & I didn’t want them judging my mother when I knew she was giving her all for us.

Now I’m a mother I have two children. I don’t know if it’s because of my childhood that I feel like they never get enough on their birthdays and Christmas. My son’s birthday is tomorrow, he’ll be 2. He had a party yesterday it cost £270-300ish & his gifts have came to around £150. Like I know in my mind this is amazing & I would have been blown away by this as a child. But when me and my partner were getting his stuff ready for the morning I kept looking at his gifts thinking this isn’t enough. I said this to my boyfriend and he was like why do you always do this it’s loads.

Does anyone else also experience this? I feel so stupid because I keep thinking there are currently children out there in the position I was as a child & here I am being ungrateful for what I’ve thankfully been able to give to my child. I think I could spend every penny that I have and still in my mind it isn’t enough & I think it’s because little me had the stress of worrying about these things when it should never been in my mind at all.

Edit - both of my children are disabled. So I don’t know if this is also contributing to it. I worry a lot about doing everything to make them happy because I know the world is going to be hard for them.

Love island is a game show

Why are people being called game players when let’s face it 99% of the islanders go in for fame. It’s like they have to act like they’ve never seen the show & are unaware of the attention they’ll get when they come out.

Julia stans

For the people who ride for Julia & her behaviour, is this only because the behaviour is towards people that you dislike? If she was acting this way towards people you like would she still be called the realest etc. it seems like people can’t judge a situation for what it is because they simply dislike the people on the receiving end of Julia’s behaviour.

Julia

Walking contradiction. She’s allowed to call jasmine a bitch but mika isnt allowed to say ‘that girl’. Really wish that clip of her was shown. So hypercritical. Yasmine doesn’t speak up too much & she repeatedly is having to try to explain to Julia. Enjoyed her at first but it’s a bit much now.
