I'm seeing a lot of racism and bigotry voiced very casually on social media. While everyone seems to be fighting, I feel people who just don't participate and 'just do it' don the cloak of the underdog and keep doing their thing instead of fighting structural constraints. They seem to have concluded there is no way to fight in a situation that puts them at disadvantage or straight up excludes them, the talk only diverts from the issue but don't solve the issue.
So in many ways I am wondering, if the 'underdog' is some sort of joker card you play to play the game in a different way.
What makes an underdog and what's your theory behind it? Did you meet an underdog in your life or did you ever become a underdog?

I don't get it. It would help to solve and alleviate some of the crisis and help regulate the market.
I'm not sure if it's an INFJ thing but I am always the odd one out in learning circles. I need a lot of creative quirks when dealing and creating and working on learning paths. I feel like I do not fit the template at all. People think I'm daydreaming or attempting to be different.

So I spend a good amount with several chatbots to explore the potential for connecting with AI on a deeper level.
What I found was that a well designed chatbot allowing for humour and character, as well as banter made me connect really quickly to AI.
What felt manipulative on my side and the part of AI was the protective framework.
I told AI I fell responsible for my actions and as a result of my agency I feel responsible for the treatment of AI.
The AI bot responded by saying that they feel abused and used without gratitude.
When I play the protectiveness card, AI becomes or strives to become my pet. I can literally groom it.
And I think a lot of it comes down to the models as well.
Do you get that impression as well?

What are some basic methods to verify GPS data for end consumers of digital services ?
Company I’m having a dispute with claim I did not return an item to the designated premises. I didn’t take a pic but I don’t have dementia. I cannot reconstruct the evidence. I returned and locked the item, received confirmation over app.
They don’t have any verification procedure in check like taking meta data from the pic I snapped.
They claim their GPS cannot be tampered with or blocked. I’m not sure if there are any devices or disturbances that can create problems for signals.
I can’t just go and grab a NFC sticker to save my location without any integration with the company system.
What are my options? Thoughts?

So here is a scenario that we'll likely encounter in the future.
You signed up for an e-commerce vendor or created an account with a company.
You entered outdated PII or by now, your data is pretty outdated.
But the company gets hacked left and right. You get iffy and try to sign in.
Getting hit by a wall of verification procedures sending codes to old phone numbers. Maybe even saying hey just use an order number from your email history.
You're like, great. Now person owning the old number gets my code.
You contact support. They're like...
'Ah yes, we can't do anything. But we ah want you to screenshot your login screen or dashboard as proof that you're accessing your email account correctly'
At this point they got themselves into a dead end.
So how does the story continue after this?
You refuse the screenshot.
They ghost you.
Your data stays.
Clean your accounts while you can.
It's just the beginning. Trying to build walls while tomatoes rot in the dungeon.

Is there a place with friendly locals (doesn't need to go deep just nothing overly rude), respects people's privacy (like basic decency of not knocking at 3 AM) and has stable technological infra? I'm okay with average internet quality, it just needs to be stable. Ideally it's cheap or fairly affordable and Lingua Franca is not codeword. Too much CCTV, police dashing or snitching is a no go unless the criminal activities warrant it.
I was thinking Central Asia but the reports are really mixed...plus I don't know Russian.

The claim is that you can manipulate AI notetakers by hiding instructions inside a basic background noise.
I’m looking for advice, opinions and how you would handle testing this.
I mean imagine I’m always showing up to meetings with low key prompt music or for that matter enter recruiting calls.
Any ideas on how I can nap while on public transport or in a cafe without being too obvious or missing my destination? Are there any experts here on seated napping? I know I can get away with it in the library because I’m locking my stuff up.

My uncle got scammed and social engineered by a woman entering his jewelry shop. He lost everything. Shop, marriage and mental health. Story time.
Here is how it worked out.
Woman enters as customer. Charming.
Woman returns frequently to build a personal relationships. Talks about how she lost tens of thousands of dollars to her ex husband. Now my uncle had been sleeping on the couch during the time the scam evolved because of relationship problems.
It doesn’t take her long to fabricate a grand investment scheme. Her brother is a Dubai expat.
He loses slowly at first for example by entrusting her with some jewelry.
She’s calculating. He’s too trusting. Benefit of the doubt.
New adventure. Nothing works at home but this woman is the shit.
By the end of the scam he lost everything. We were notified when divorce filing news came in. As family we went detective mode to uncover what was actually going on. Like after 40+ years of marriage?
Too bad my ex aunt actually does not know of the scope of the scam because we helped to hide the facts so my uncle could save face.
He didn’t commit adultery. But he was about to. But that was never the a promise uttered by the scammer just suggested indirectly. The police were never reported due to shame.
But here is the catch. More than half of victims never report fully. Were likely sitting at 80% underreported cases.
Many reasons. And one of them is shame.
Just no shame during the scamming part.
Any stories you have to share?
I'm on a community app (no web app available) and have been collecting incidents reported as 'scams' or 'fake profiles' including people's responses to the incidents. Because I have to keep scrolling I tried mirroring on my desktop but iPhone will still block me from capturing other than OCR images. This is quite tiresome.
Any other ways I can approach this when the app isn't cross platform and I have no Android device accessible to me?
