I just put these yellow tail acei in my tank yesterday and I’ve noticed they school a lot. Is that normal for this species? I haven’t seen any of them be aggressive yet either. Even towards the smaller yellow labs. I’m really loving them
Right now I have a 40B with 6 yellow labs in it. I want to add yellow tail acei and upgrade to 60B. How many of each should I have? I don’t want to overstock my tank if possible. Is it only manageable with a single species only? My biggest yellow lab is already chasing the smaller ones around.
Best stocking numbers in 60 gallon?
I’ve got a 60 gallon with fluval 407 on one side and tidal 75 on the other. I will be getting 12 yellow labs and 12 yellow tail acei juvies in the beginning that way so I can rehome all males but one and any really aggressive ones. Is 6-8 fish of each okay for that tank or do I need more/less?
Is fluval 407 good enough filtration for a 75 gallon with maximum of maybe 18 mbuna cichlids? Trying to get everything priced out. I have 6 juvie yellow labs in a 40 breeder but upgrading the tank to a 75 here in a month or two and would like to add more mbuna later

But I was curious if it’s common for them to leak and flood your house? I heard during power outages they will keep pumping water and flood your house too and you have to unplug it so it doesn’t flood, but what happens if you aren’t at home? This is the only thing keeping me from getting one. I have a seachem 75 on my 40 gallon but I’m looking to get something a little better before I get cichlids
I really want to start a cichlid tank. I’ve got a 40 gallon breeder. Anyone have recommendations on stocking ideas? I really love the the electric yellow cichlids but heard they don’t do great in 40s?
reddit.comI’m thinking of getting cichlids in my 40 breeder, maybe some yellow labs, are there other fish I can put in there with them? Any recommendations? Cleanup crew, etc
reddit.comI hate the look of my tank, is it possible to change it?
I’ve got a 40 that has been cycled since December. I have tetras and a blue ram in there and really want to take out the stratum and put sand in there instead and just move everything around.
I have driftwood and stuff that I’ll keep in there. I plan on getting new plants also, I have live plants in there at the moment but I messed up and left light on too long a few times and now the algae won’t get off the plants (I bought a timer now so I hope once I change everything out it will be gone)
but If I take everything out and clean it but keep the HOB filter wet do you think my cycle will crash?
What brushes do you guys recommend? Looking to get into PBN and don’t want to use the ones in the kit. They suck
reddit.comWanting to get into painting.. how to start?
I honestly don’t have a creative bone in my body. But painting interests me so much. I just am not imaginative or creative so hopefully that won’t stop me?
But how do you get into painting? Do I need to go to classes for it? Especially since I don’t draw or anything. I’m looking into acrylic painting for now.
Anyone have any tips or tricks for me? I’ve got a paint by numbers kit coming in tomorrow just to get started. But I would eventually like to make my own art
