The Internet Anarchist made a video on Chibi Reviews that contained a fake screenshot, so the former re-uploaded the video. Since then the 2 have been beefing.

Defending Ironmouse (and Vtubers in general)

I think generative AI is alright, it's like black magic: fine to use if you don't include others without their consent, many consequences of it may be true but are theoretical and mysterious.

I'm a massive Vtuber fan, probably my number one interest. The Vtuber community does not like generative AI, especially AI art, due to how the industry was built on human art for years and it has been fine that way. We like the way things are. My love for Vtubers outweighs my defenses towards AI.

That being said, I've spoken up about people overly bashing AI, including Takanashi Kiara, who is one of my favorite Vtuber. I also think it was unprofessional for Kureiji Ollie to randomly bring up and attack AI art.

This brings us to the Ironmouse NTE drama. Multiple posts on have criticized Ironmouse for cancelling her sponsorship with NTE. Some were quite informal:

  • Accusing her of lying and being a grifter.
  • Claiming that Ironmouse's digital identity is comparable to generative AI.
  • Falsely accusing Ironmouse's voice for being auto-tune.

The first point feels like a reach, the second is subjective and incredibly harsh (Ironmouse is still a real person who uses an avatar to protect her identity and not show her being bedridden with feeding tubes), while the third is straight up misinformation.

AI itself is not really properly defined. Some Vtuber technologies can be considered AI but it's still their choice to decide when AI is fine and when it's not. AI is like salt, people can decide to add them in certain food but not others.

Now some things may need more clarification from Ironmouse. It's possible that she's willing to play some AI games, but NTE is a completely different story as it was a sponsored. Though after some research, I cannot confirm nor deny if the other games she played were sponsored. Even so, they seem to use AI in different ways, like Resident Evil Requiem using it for non-generative purposes.

It really seems like Ironmouse was misled about the game not using AI by either the developers or whichever department contacted her, and did not come across the interview where the game studio admitted to using AI to generate some of the game's assets.

As much as I like to be open-minded about AI and call out the many irrational reasons people hate on it, my love for Vtubers and their culture outweighs it.

I expected someone else to have posted this by now but looks like I will have to do it: Meeta Osita from V&U will be concluding their channel activities on June 27th, 2026

Has this fun interaction with Dottovu yesterday when I was completely unaware of the whole Eternal Return situation, I thought she was just making a general statement

Thought it be fun to share, like I was talking to a person in a building that was burning down, but I wasn't aware it was burning down.
