I am a boot sale junky. If a company has a sale going on, I’m all about it. Initially these were not the boots I wanted, but I “settled”. I really wanted the Diesel in natural roughout with those green Dr. soles. I didn’t know much about Grant Stone other than the positive YouTube reviews. So, I tried for the Edward because they were on sale, and when I got them they were nice but too large. The only other sale boot at the time in my size was the Baroda Butterum. So I settled. Recently the Diesel Natural Rough Out became available in my size. I considered using the program where you send your boots back and they give you $100 credit. So I decided to just wear the Baroda one more time. Bottom line, I’m in love with these Barodas! That Butterum is beautiful. The boots are sturdy but super comfortable. They fit perfectly. The search for the perfect Boondocker will continue!

Thought I’d rock these today. For anyone buying Kudu, it does seem to have more stretch than other leathers. I’ve worn these a few times now and the uppers seem to be lacing closer and closer with each wear. They feel great.

Do not sleep on Depop site. Better than EBay. Because the expenses to the seller are much cheaper, they sell goods for less. I scored these GUSTIN monster moss for $75! Says gently used but it seems they are NWOT. PERFECT.

What captures the Martini the best?

I own many (MANY) different boots from various manufacturers and these are second to none!

I think I posted these Martini’s before, and probably with the same pants. The green and the brown Gustins just go well together.

This belonged to my Grandfather. He was just a blue collar factory worker and this was his dress watch. I think he put those little teenie tiny diamond chips in there. I think he probably purchased this in early 1970’s. I didn’t think it would run. I’ve had this since the late 1970’s. It’s been in my watch winder for over a year and never worked. I took it out and just get shaking to wind it and wow, it’s working! Doesn’t keep great time. It absolutely needs an overhaul/refurb but the work is probably way more than its worth. Anyway though I’d share it. If anyone knows anything about it I’d love to hear from you.

Black Gustin Martin’s with Black Oiled Rough Out!

Just delivered today. Have I been sizing all wrong. Brannock says 8.5D. Because of the amazing deal on wides I ordered 8EE and these feel great. Maybe 8EE is my true size? I get it all boots are different, but this could change the game for me! And I actually prefer a little room in the toe box. So for me it’s great. All of my D widths always are slightly too snug that’s why I like the 8.5.

I recently got into the boot world and it’s easy to go by labels. The first boots I bought over the dozen or so I’ve accumulated are my Thursday Diplomats in brown chrome with lug sole that I purchased on the warehouse section. I have all brands of boots now, you name it, Parkhurst, Grant Stone, Oak Street, Truman’s and even Luos Jiet and Vibergs. I gotta say, these Diplomats are the most comfortable out of the lot. I wore these for 14 hours today and could have gone another 14. Great boots!

Thought I’d share this. It’s not all that uncommon but it’s kind of unique. They are all over EBay and not very expensive at all. This is the Orvis Zambeki Safari jacket. I think it also comes in olive? Can’t wait until cooler weather comes back around!

Purchased new without box a couple of weeks ago. Just 1/2 size too small for me. Going to put them back on the market.
