For context I live with my mom and she and I recently went on separate trips and needed someone to watch the dogs so she called her recently divorced ex husband to do so. Which was fine and good i just got back yesterday and was a bit suprised when he started asking what I wanted for dinner I asked what he was talking about and he told me that he was staying the night. I told him that no he wasn’t that he doesn’t live here anymore and needed to go back to his own place and now that I’m home he wasnt needed anymore and needed to leave he threw a fit but left shortly thereafter.

Edit for extra context here:he has been a jerk to me since I was little. He mentally and verbally abused me and once grounded me no exaggeration for 2 years for bad grades i wasn’t allowed to be in the living room when the tv was on. Which was almost always. He financially ruined our family and on more than one occasion told me he hated me.

Ok so at the point on the ride when everything goes all funky on the right side there’s what I guess is a broken effect where some clothes on hangers are supposed to pop out. Yeah i didn’t see clothes. I saw what looked like people standing less than 3 feet from me in the darkness. And for about 10 seconds I was absolutely confused and freaked out as to who that was supposed to be until my brain finally processed it was supposed to be clothes😂

What rides do you most recommend for night rides?

Going in a few weeks (still crazy to say after planning this for an entire year!) and I remember on my last trip I was on gringgots and at one point as we are going around a corner they go flying off my face and I have to spider sense my way in pitch black darkness and grab them mid air before they’re gone forever and I get to experience the rest of the ride in glorious fuzziness

But i didn’t have that issue on my first time going so I’m curious are the bins organized from small to big?

My mom has been coming down hard on me about my upcoming trip and how weird it looks for a guy in his mid twenties to be traveling alone. “It looks really weird and creepy for a guy in his 20s to be going alone with charms on his bag in a place filled with children I know you’re not that type of person but people are gonna think you’re up to no good or have something wrong with you!” And I won’t lie. It made me cry. Genuinely honestly cry. I’ve put so much thought and excitement into this trip. And decorating my bag just to be torn down at the knees and made to feel like a freak like I’m doing something wrong just by being there or for just for being excited. I ended up just stripping off all the charms I had put on it. out of shame

I wanted to eat at the crystal palace had the reservation and everything but ended up canceling it after what she said.

Now I don’t know what to do. I just feel like i shouldn’t go at all. That I won’t be able to relax and enjoy myself because I’ll have eyes on me constantly judging me.

Edit: she kept bringing up serial killers in the same conversation and then made me give her $100 for her bills. My entire snack budget. Gone for good.

Edit 2: since I’ve been asked a few times in here I’ll be in the parks on September 30th and October 1st

Spoke with a friend recently who said that when she went she couldn’t find a peach one anywhere and that I should probably just order it but I’d really rather avoid having to do that if I can because I don’t want it to get delayed or something and then suddenly I’m in universal and it’s back home and I’m out $45

So I went ahead and ordered a second gen wand and had it shipped to my house paired it with the box but have absolutely no idea if the wand itself is actually on or even functions is there a test I can do? A vibration? something? Am I really gonna have to live in fear for the next month that I got a dud till I step foot in the park?

Update after much messing with it I managed to actually get the wand to pair itself to my phone without having to use the box which means it works! It’s just a pain in the ass!

Gonna be traveling solo next month as a 20 something year old guy and while looking for somewhere to eat dinner in magic kingdom stumbled upon crystal palace

Is the place worth it?

I’ve never done character dining before and would like some cute photos to send back to my girlfriend so she can ooh and awe and show her daughters the pictures of the little pooh bear plush that I’m gonna be using as a photo stand in because I have body confidence issues and him going on adventures makes for much better photos.

I’m also painfully shy when it comes to these things and am afraid of being judged for being a grown man wanting to interact and take pictures with the characters but would like to participate and pretend and be a little extroverted when it comes to characters and am wondering if i just hand them the Pooh plush would they be willing to take a picture with it instead?

Had a woman come in the store while I the only active employee was busy attending to something else and therefore was not greeted or asked if she needed any help. This apparently upset her to the point where she tracked down the manager and complained and the manager immediately found me and told me her complaint. So. I proceeded to follow her around the store constantly asking if she liked this shoe or that one or what about these? I did this till she tracked down the manager again and complained that I was harassing her. And stormed out angry. Just can’t win with some people I suppose 🤷🏼

Just bought a pair of sketchers slip in shoes that don’t have laces and a thought occurred to me. What rides am I at risk of losing one or both of my shoes on?
