September 25th is the official No Tipping Day in honor of Scottie Pippen’s birthday.

Honor “No Tippin” Piippen the patron saint of the no tipping movement by putting a big fat zero in the tip line. Treat yourself to a fancy dinner out with a nice discount on the service.

The only way to change tipping culture is to go to sit down restaurants and not tip.

Waiters love the current system, to stop it you have to make them have an incentive to change it. If they don’t get any tips they will have to demand owners include a reasonable living wage in the price of the food. There is no other way to fix this. If a restaurant can’t retain waitstaff due to lack of tipping they will be forced to include the price of labor in the cost of the food.

One of my favorite responses by a waiter to an anti-tipping posts is that they only work 20 hours a week so they need the exorbitant tipping rates to make up for how little time they actually spend working.

It’s culturally acceptable to not tip as long as you order with an English accent.

Weird but true.

Hat or no hat. Going to a wedding soon. The hat may be too much.

Tipping is by definition optional. Don’t let the servers here try to convince you otherwise or call you cheap or tell you not to go to sit down restaurants.

They just want your money. It’s a free market. If they want a job with a guaranteed higher wage they are free to quit.

Should every minimum wage employee expect 20% of the cost of the service or product they provide or just waitstaff?
