Steelers fans in and around Jersey City, NJ. We have a bar.
Drunkenly talked to grapevine tavern. Got coordinating from the other Steelers fans there tonight. Got the initial agreement and what not.
Cheapest place imaginable in this area so close to NYC.
They have plenty of TVs and no team owns the bar yet (though expect some NY fans).
Basically we're free to take it over and we have no better option currently. Let's do it.
I will see you there week 1.
The most under-talked about stat in the USA. Since the Gaza war started more Americans have died from lack of healthcare, than all deaths from the middle east conflicts combined.
This Lancet article puts the number at 68,000 lives that could be saved from healthcare access every year in America.
Thats an INSANE number. But we do certainly have the healthcare system to back that up. Even if it was a third of that we'd estimate be hitting more dead americans now 3 years on in the conflicts (around 90k have died in Middle East).
How many of you are paying over $500 a month now for insurance? For most american's its now the #2 expense next to housing. And likely to go up as more people fall out of the pools because they can't afford it or choose not to afford it.
When Bernie was running on universal care estimates were coming $236 for a household of $100k income. Thats what the freakout was over, and now we're all paying more than double that to keep around this abhorrent system that KILLS AMERICANS.
Isreal has free healthcare, Iran has heavily subsidized care with many longtime illnesses covered for free, fuck Palestine is barely standing and has mostly universal care.
More candidates need to use this as a banner. More hard questions for politicans that are quick to run to foreign affairs and ignore healthcare at home. Old timers like Clyburn, new dickheads that ran on it and ignore it like Fetterman, need HAMMERED on these points.
Why are foreign affairs more important than dead Americans? If the whole point of the foreign affairs is to 'protect American lives' in the hypothetical future, why would you not protect the American lives right now at home?
I'm glad its starting to become more of a talking point as people are looking at those crazy healthcare bills. But damn does it need to be even more of one.
Yes it's a show ad but Bach and roller skates deserves some respect

Just shocks me how excellent the lyrics are here.
I'm a dead biological being, you're used to seeing everything I'm made of, while applying a false sense of self to enable your confidence.
I'm your vomit in all the meals at once. I'm the meaninglessness of politics. The fakeness is staining you, but if we change your racial makeup to the acceptable then it will be ok.
You're dressed like I dress so there's no way you'd ever commit violent acts against me.
Joe p lyrics always DRIP with so much more depth and meaning than you ever get on the first go through. While still being catchy as shit somehow.
How many games has the bullpen been solely responsible for?
Kinda curious how bad it is and how it compares to most teams.
I imagine most teams have their share of blown leads but man we seem mega bad at it
Pittsburgh had a hand in the Great Depression as Andrew Mellon was Secretary of The Treasury. He fought to cut taxes on top earners in the recovery from WWI. This pumped that money into the bubble instead of back to the nation, in part leading to the market collapse and great depression.

reddit.comTrain advocates from Pittsburgh should jump all over the attention from Big Boy
Pittsburgh was once the absolute heart of passenger rail in the US.
So much so that we built an amazing system, and a lot of the rail still shockingly remains to this day.
We let the collapse of the industrial sector and car first mentality ruin it.
Now the city suffers under heavy traffic burdens, can't seem to figure out public transit funding, and the answer is sitting right there used by freight or unused for decades.
Big boy just shows those rails work just fine and dandy, let's get some damn passenger cars on them. The interest in the train was insanely palpable
Even if you never set foot on them, the less cars on the road is less traffic for you
I have an ancient PC (2012 build), what if I just get a new GPU?
So long story short built a pc back in 2012 I built a mid-tier rig, and was pretty happy with it. Big indie game player mostly and mostly a Dota rig.
Whenever it came time to upgrade, I was quite unemployed. Then GPUs went nuts, now RAM and storage went nuts ect. I was hoping for the Steam Machine but I'm not blowing $1000+ on gaming, I already got a Steam Deck and PS5. This is just my desktop and dota box but eh games happen on it.
So now I'm in a way better place, but I have zero desire to blow over 1k on a full system and feel like the rig still suits most of my needs.
Soooo what if at this point I just got a new GPU? I'm on an Asrock Extreme 3 Gen 3 board. 600w PSU. i2500k. Card is an ancient ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series
Would a new GPU even work with that board?
If you bluetooth your phone to your Steam Deck, you can play music while playing your game.
This was news to me and shocking after spending over an hour trying to get youtube music working last night.
For shits and giggles I tried to also bluetooth to my bluetooth speaker (so Steam deck has 2 connections on bluetooth), and it does work but gets a lot of hiccups/stutters in the sound.
