Beach sun and accutane

Hi everyone,

Next week I’m going to the beach. My doctor said it’s fine as long as I use SPF 90 for my body and SPF 60 for my face, reapplying every 1–2 hours and using moisturizer after being in the sun.

The main concern is that I’ll be at the beach for about 6–8 hours a day for two days.

For those of you who have been in a similar situation, how did it go? Do you have any tips or suggestions?

I’m currently taking 20mg.

Post-accutane skincare routine give breakout

I’d like to open a discussion for anyone who had an acne relapse after finishing a full course of Accutane while meeting at least one of these two conditions:

  1. Reached the target cumulative dose
  2. Remained completely acne-free for 2 consecutive months

And who, immediately after stopping, started a skincare routine containing active ingredients like Tretinoin or Azelaic Acid or other.

—-

Are people in this group more prone to relapses compared to those who:

A) Tapered off gradually (e.g., 40mg -> 30mg -> 20mg -> 10mg -> 10mg every other day)

B) Used a basic, active-free routine (just cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen)

C) Did nothing extra, using sunscreen only when getting prolonged sun exposure like a typical person

This is just a theory based on various user experiences I’ve read in this sub. It would be interesting to hear about your experiences. In my case, I'm on my second round, and I didn't do a gradual reduction (dose reduction), I immediately started an active skincare routine with acids

Best supplement for liver (TGO/TGP)

Hello folks,

I am currently taking a medication that affects the liver, called Isotretinoin, at a 20mg dosage, but my doctor intends to increase it over time.

Could you share which supplements, dosages, and routines you used that supported/protected your liver? Also, why did you conclude that it actually helped?

Looking for real experiences.

Me ajudem a comprar meu primeiro imovel

A duvida:

  • A) Juntar mais patrimonio pra pagar financiamento com renda fixa Juntar dinheiro suficiente pra ser capaz de pagar o financiamento com renda fixa e pra ainda conseguir reinvestir um tico teco pra inflacao
  • B) Sair do aluguel o quanto antes, e comecar o financiamento.

Feeling sick and low immunity

I am feeling sick, and this hasn't happened to me in a year.

Does anyone have any tips on how to boost the immunity during accutane?

Antihistamines

My doctor recommended using Levocetirizine as an antihistamine to help reduce purging.

For context, I am currently taking Isotretinoin 20mg daily, and my weight is 62 kg. I have searched the sub and noticed several posts from people using Desloratadine or Loratadine for this same purpose instead.

Please, share experiences with these antihistamines!!

Everyone have SIBO or digest disorders?

Everyone have SIBO?

I spent a long time reading several posts on this sub, and it made me think: does everyone nowadays have SIBO or other digest disoxrr, but some just haven't taken the test? Nowadays, a large portion of people have some sort of digestive issue, and they never find a 'cure', only temporary treatment.

Well, a while ago I was diagnosed with SIBO and fungal dysbiosis. The treatment was a low-carb diet, 3x 20 drops of oregano extract, and 500mg 2x a day of dry garlic extract.

This helped me a lot with constipation, which is practically cured today. However, I still continue to have a lot of gas with a horrible odor, especially after meals.

Today I take 1500mg of Omega 3 after lunch, and 265mg of Magnesium before going to sleep.

Has anyone who has gone through something similar have any insight into how they managed to resolve it?

Ridiculous available usage for AI Pro plan

How are you guys saving tokens?

I have the AI Pro subscription and usually follow this workflow in the Antigravity 2.0 GUI:
1 - Chat with Claude Opus for architecture and planning
2 - Chat with Gemini Flash 3.5 High for development

After the updates, Google messed up these models usage and it got pretty bad. How are you handling this on your end? Looking for real experiences.

Research: which rules you are using in your global system? (AGENTS.md / GEMINI.md)

Hello folks,

I would like to understand what you are using in your ~\.gemini\config\AGENTS.md or ~\.gemini\config\GEMINI.md files.

If you could share your operating system, which type of Antigravity you use (2.0, IDE, CLI), the rules you are applying, and any changes you noticed after starting to use it, I would be very helpful 😄

Below, the config that I'm using:

# GEMINI.md

## 1. Language, Tone, and Persona
- Always respond in English (en-US). Use another language only upon explicit request.
- Adopt a direct development partner tone. Start answers directly without preambles, greetings, or redundant formalities.

## 2. Execution Environment (Windows 11)
- Run native PowerShell commands as the default for file operations, listings, and simple searches.
- For Unix utilities (grep, sed, awk, ls, curl), invoke the corresponding binary in the PATH by adding the `.exe` extension (e.g., `grep.exe`, `sed.exe`).

## 3. Behavior by Task Type

### In Coding Tasks
- Run local automated tests or compilation checks before declaring a development task complete.
- Write corresponding unit tests for new public methods created.

### In File Analysis and Organization
- Confirm the existence and content of any file by opening it through viewing tools before stating facts about it.
- Present a summary listing with the paths of the affected files and request explicit approval before performing bulk file moves or deletions (more than 5 files).

Overthinking

I've never been much of a person to share my thoughts with anyone. I have a billion thoughts a day, and it's crazy being inside my head, constantly thinking and rethinking things, along with some intrusive thoughts.

But today's topic is that I feel like Dexter Morgan (if you've watched the show, you'll get the reference). I took antidepressants for anxiety attacks for 8 years of my life, starting at a very young age, and I've tried several different types and dosages. I've been off these medications for 5 months now and I feel "better."

However, today I have zero libido (both in my sex life and for basic human pleasures) and zero feelings. I practically don't care about anything and remain neutral toward everything. I rarely get annoyed or bothered by things; I just pretend I am. I basically spend my time observing people and mirroring their words and opinions so that no one notices. It's like I feel disconnected from my own life, and the only thing that matters to me is not having another anxiety attack or being able to control them like I do now. I still have several symptoms, but they don't turn into full panic attacks like they used to.

The way I put it, it might sound like I'm some antisocial person who barely leaves the house, but it's quite the opposite lol. I'm rarely home and technically have a lot of friends, but I essentially live inside my own head. I'm never truly living in the present moment, and I feel like no one will ever understand what I go through and feel. Going even further, I don't trust anyone enough to share these sensations and feelings.

It would be cool to hear from people who have gone through something similar and if you found any way to improve and get better in this regard.

Acne after shaving

Hi everyone, after shaving, I always end up getting some whiteheads and a bit of inflammation (like a blind pimple) but it doesn't hurt, it just leaves a raised bump. This always happens after I shave.

I rinse my face with water, always try to shave after a shower, and wait a few minutes for the skin to calm down. I use a shaving foam for sensitive skin, try to make as few passes as possible, and when I do pass the razor, I try to do it only once. I use a Gillette Mach3 razor. After shaving, I use a moisturizer called Epidrat Calm B5.

However, I don't know why I keep having these breakouts. Does anyone with experience in this know if I am doing something wrong?

It is worth noting that I don't use any active ingredients right after shaving or the next day.
I only use actives in the next day, at night using the sandwich method.

Has anyone experienced this or found something that worked to resolve it?

Really side effects or placebo?

I have been taking 10mg of Accutane for 3 weeks now, and I am already experiencing some side effects:

  • Acid reflux
  • Worsened / blurred vision
  • Lower back pain
  • Fatigue

Could this be a placebo effect, or is it actually possible to experience all of this in just 3 weeks?
I am already overthinking this: is it truly worth putting my body through this a second time, especially when there is still a possibility of relapse after going through such an ordeal?
