Budget Fake Nandoes in Walworth road South East London?

Okay it's actually Turkish - but they only seem to do chicken on the menu.

(Also apologies I didn't show the receipt... I honestly must have eaten it😭 but I've said the prices of the food instead and shown the menu).

The prices in there aren't crazy cheap as hype suggest but £38 for a decent sized chicken Platter ain't the worst value for south east London.

Everyone but me seemed to love the soup 😂 so my taste buds are probably broken. I've never been a soup person anyway. Watery meats just aren't my thing.

But the chicken! 😍

Would have loved to have something that affordable in my day when I was going to college down that side of London.

Not much drink selection... Hence it seems like more of an 'upgraded chicken shop' than a Resturant to me. Plenty of space to dine in though. Decent dining on a budget in my opinion.

A good spot which is also accessible to lower income families in the local community ❤️

Disclaimer* These guys approached me and asked me if I wanted to come down to make a video in exchange for some food. I don't usually post my invite/Ad content here anymore in favour for my Organic content but I really enjoyed this spot so I thought I'd show ya.

Didn't like:

The aubergine fritata thing was super smokey. Almost burnt to the taste. I asked the staff and they told me that's how it's traditionally supposed to taste... So definetly not to my palette.

The bread for the baguette was way too hard and crusty. You could give someone blunt force trauma with that. Not for me thanks even though the filling was nice.

Also (not mentioned in video) the rice they initially served us was undercooked and still very hard. However when I explained this to them they swapped it around and apologised.

Everything else omg! Wtf!

Everything else slapped! Would definetly go back again for the other stuff. Especially the ube waffles and the fried chicken.

My favourite has to be the to si log and the tap si log beef or pork with rice. Rice in the morning might sound weird for some people... But I'm no stranger to left over Chinese for breakky lol.

Would definetly go back.
