Broccoli (she likes it as is 🤷‍♀️), whole wheat pancakes, and honey vanilla Greek yoghurt with chia seeds and cinnamons. All on a temporary table since her actual one needed a good wash.

I feel like a bad mom.

I'm currently 35 weeks pregnant and have a 2 year old (26 months).

I've been so snappy with her recently and I feel so bad. During the moment it's just overwhelming, but when things have calmed down I feel so guilty because I feel like I'm being such a bitch.

She's just doing normal toddler things (and going through a sleep regression? Fighting naps and bedtime and taking 1+ hour to fall asleep). I'm overreacting to certain things and have such a short fuse. Husband helps when he can, but he works full time and we have no one to help us.

I hope this eases after the baby is born.

I'm so angry all the time and I hate it.

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and have a 2 YO. It's just my husband and I, so I have zero help while he's at work.

These past few weeks have been particularly difficult and I've just been so damn mad and I feel like I'm being so mean to my daughter. I haven't yelled at her or anything, but I've been really snippy. She'll start fussing/crying over something (i.e., eating a banana in bed) and instead of calmly explaining why we don't do x, y, z etc. like I usually would, I just get really frustrated and just tell her to quit it with a raised voice.

I feel bad because that's not the type of parent I want to be. I don't know what to do. I'm already on an antidepressant and anti-anxiety medication.

I'm tired, hungry, dehydrated. There's still 45 million things to do before this baby comes. My daughter is going through some sort of sleep regression because nap and bedtime are now 1+ hour screaming events. She doesn't listen to me. Potty training is hell. Everything keeps breaking (AC, water leakage, engine light, fucking ants getting in for some reason even though it's clean?????).

Just needed to vent.

AITA for peeing on the floor??

Mommy (old hag, huge belly that kicks me when I sit with her 😡) has been having me sit on the potty every hour (while reading me a book) to help me learn that pee and poop go in the potty. I (2, beautiful amazing princess) am getting used to the potty, but I still don't like using it.

I got bored a few pages into the book , so I hopped off the potty and left with the cat; mommy soon followed.

While mommy was distracted trying to stop our precious fluffy baby from eating paper, I ran into the kitchen and peed all over the floor! I ran back out to mommy and yelled "WET" to let her know.

She seemed slightly vexed, since I had just been sitting on the potty, but she was grateful that I at least didn't go potty on the carpet!!! She did get a little annoyed that I kept trying to splash in the puddle while she was cleaning, but splishy splashing is so much fun!

AITA?????

If your second baby was significantly larger than your first, how did you survive the third trimester?

I'm currently 34 weeks and suffering. My little guy already weighs just over 5 pounds (which is normal), however, my daughter was soooo much smaller (under 6 pounds at birth at 39 weeks) and I am not use to how uncomfortable this is.

I almost passed out at my ultrasound today because of the pressure on my lungs, so I had to lay on my side(s) instead of my back. My ribs are in pain and feel like they're being stretched beyond their limits (again, I know it's normal, but OUCH).

I'm not that big; my torso is not that long. How in God's name am I going to manage a possible 8 pound baby when I'm already barely able to function???

Send help 🥲

So. Much. Plastic.

Also, who tf is buying pancakes like this, even for a snack??? The frozen packages have more for less, and without an annoying amount of plastic

I finally did it!!

I finally got my 2 YO to fall asleep without needing my nipple in her mouth 😭.

It wasn't always like this, but for some reason when she was about 7/8 months old she could NOT fall asleep without it. I'm talking hours of trying; then it became a habit that over time became nearly impossible to break.

There has been much screaming and tantrums throwing, but she's finally starting to fall asleep with just some cuddles and books.

Just in time for another baby to need my nipples too (RIP my breasts, they hurt so bad lmao).

AITA for peeing on a pillow?

In my (2F) fight against using the potty, mommy has tried many things, but I will prevail! (Although, I have lost a battle, as mommy (born during the Stone Age) found a way to get me to sit on the potty without a diaper...... but reading is so much fun!).

Today, mommy let me hang out without my diaper for a bit while I got my special TV time. She brought my mini potty out of the bathroom so she could plop me down as needed. But she was in for a surprise!!

She watched me for 2 hours while we played and watched TV, and I didn't show signs of needing to potty once! Then, when she put on Elmo's potty training video, I grabbed a blanket and covered myself, sat on a couch pillow, and let the river run free ✨.

Mommy tried to put me on the potty as quickly as possible, but she was too late!

Later, I heard mommy telling daddy (4590M) that she thinks I won't potty because I want privacy. Not sure why I needed to pee on a pillow to get the point across!!!! She's mommy so she should know everything... adults sure are something else 🙄.

What book(s) are your children asking to read over and over?

My 2 YO has requested "Hopper Hunts For Spring" and "Shy Little Kitten's Secret Place" at least 20 times each over the past two days. I think I'm close to having both memorized 😂

When did your toddler feel comfortable sitting on the potty without a diaper?

I'm currently potty training my (almost) 26 MO; we've made a lot of progress since buying one of those potty seat attachments with the step ladder.

She seems to understand what the potty is for, and will sit with her diaper on and ask for "paper" to pretend wipe her butt. She also loves flushing, however, she's still not comfortable sitting without a diaper.

I've used language she can understand (i.e., "you need to be nakey butt to poop and pee in the potty!) to try and get her to sit without her diaper, but it seems to really stress her out. I definitely don't want to pressure her, so I'm trying to figure out something that would work for her.

Any ideas?

AITA for wanting to climb the chairs/table?

This morning I (2F) really wanted to sit on one of the big girl chairs at the big table so I could grab whatever I could. Mommy (many eons old) kept asking me to stay off the chair and stop climbing onto the table because she didn't want me to get hurt. Mommy doesn't understand that I'm a big girl and can handle myself!

That's why the second mommy turned away to pick someone up off the floor, I leaned onto the table again. But this time the forces of the universe were working against me and I fell and bust open my inner top lip!! This was not planned and not of my doing!

After mommy comforted me, cleaned me up, and made sure I didn't need an emergency doctor or dental visit, she explained to me that this is exactly why her and daddy (older than the Milky Way) do not want me on the adult chairs.

But they can't tell me what to do!! So guess what???? I immediately climbed into a different chair!

Mommy took me off, and I greatly protested, but she gave me a strawberry and pretzel snack so we're all good.

AITA for trying to get mommy arrested???

My (2 F) new favorite word is "OW!" and my favorite time to say it is when I'm being told no/not getting my way. No one will be touching me, but I'll still scream "OW OW OW" for no reason! It's especially fun when I'm throwing a loud tantrum outside near other people because it makes mommy (3 million) and daddy (4 million) look really really bad.

Before our morning outside time today, mommy said she needed to grab something from her car. I wanted to play in the back seat, but mommy said no because it's "too hot" and "we don't want to waste gas or battery power", which isn't my problem 🤷‍♀️

Anyway, I started voicing my displeasure at this by screaming and crying "OW OW OW" loud enough for all the neighbors to hear! Our next door neighbors even had their porch door open!

Mommy became very frustrated and told me that if I kept it up someone was eventually going to call CPS out of concern (she also said she'd revoke my weekend TV privileges and outside time, which is way too far >:| ).

Is there anything you can pick up? Any messages?

I'm looking for anything in general (messages/anything important I need to know). Also curious if anyone can pick up a delivery date (I have an inkling of when little one will decide to pop out, so I'm curious what others can pick up!).

Got to witness something magical yesterday :)

Vegetable minestrone soup (elbow macaroni, diced tomatoes, onion, carrot, celery, red & white beans, green beans, and vegetable broth).

There's a barn swallow nest on my porch that was nested in sometime last month. I was able to watch the little birblings go from little gray blobs to whole birbs! They took their first flight yesterday morning and it was so cute!!! I'm going to miss them 🥹

AITA for pooping on the floor?

Mommy (3 million) told me she needed to go potty real quick before going out. I (2 F) started feeling the urge to go number 2, so I took my diaper off and took a big ol' poopy right on the carpet.

My mini potty that mommy and daddy bought for me was close by and ready to use, but I just wasn't vibing with it. I know it's for going to the potty but I haven't used it once; my parents have tried everything! They just don't understand me I guess...

To top it off, I made art! I stepped in my creation and decided the carpet could use some more color, so I made sure to smear a big bunch of poopy in the carpet with my feet and hands.

Mommy didn't seem too happy. She wasn't angry, she was more confused about why I had done it in the first place when my potty was less than 2 feet away.

I think mommy must've been happy with my art because I got a nice, warm bubble bath after.

AITA?

Bonus: while mommy was trying to clean the floor, I took the opportunity to do a bunch of things I'm not supposed to (who doesn't like climbing glass tables???) and I think I saw a twinkle of insanity in her eyes.

We were so close to fully breaking the cycle of abuse, and he decided to be an abusive asshole 😐

For further context: my brother hates women because of my mother. Now, he has every right to be angry with her for failing to protect him from my father, and also not being a great person herself; however, that didn't/doesn't give him the right to abuse my sisters and I, and abuse women in general.

We haven't spoken to him in years, but he's still obsessed with trying to (poorly lol) ruin our reputation with outlandish lies and still wants to see us miserable. (We're all thriving and living our best lives though 😊)

I wish it didn't turn out this way. But what can you do 🤷‍♀️

I have zero clue what I'm doing with my (almost) 25 month old - potty training.

My daughter is almost 25 months and we've been working on potty training for about two weeks. I started off by making sure she comes with me when I go to the bathroom, talking her through it, while also having her mini potty nearby and encouraging her to sit on it. I've also brought in her teddy to give a little demonstration to help make her feel comfortable. She seems to understand what the potty is for, and will even pretend wipe her butt, but I cannot for the life of me actually get her to use the potty for its intended purpose.

Stickers don't work because then she wants more of them, resulting in a huge tantrum (trying not to create a negative association with the potty). I tried showing her a Sesame Street potty video and that also turned into a screaming fit because Elmo wasn't on screen the entire time.

Today was the first day of going diaper less and watching her/carrying her potty around. I don't know if I just picked a bad day or what but she has just been losing her mind crying most of the time. She was only out of the diaper for two hours, had one accident when I went to get a tissue for her nose (of course lmao, but I did assure her it was okay and that accidents happen!).

I know I just need to keep at it and keep some sort of routine but I feel so lost. I really want her potty trained before my second arrives at the end of August but I feel like I'm doing something wrong.

Send help.
