Jamaal Shabazz was at city meeting to oppose the increase to $400 Million police budget.

"They were saying they were going to kick people out when they weren’t being loud," he said.
"Just for a comment or even just a noise that they didn’t like."

Protesters also demanded the release of all bodycam footage of the shooting of 21 year old college football player Dalys Jett. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department police officers fatally shot him 9 times, and then lied, saying he shot first before admitting it was friendly fire.

Incident occurred inside the Indianapolis City-County Building during the police department budget hearing.

What (TF) Do I Do Now? is about what happens when the story ends and you’re left asking yourself exactly that: What the TF do I do now?

The book goes beyond what you saw on TikTok. I talk about the experiences that shaped me, the decisions I made, what I learned about myself along the way, and what it took to begin rebuilding my life after everything changed.

On August 1, 2026, Arkansas State Police Trooper Moisses Arellano took 18-year-old Alisa N. Hackett to the ground and punched her in the face during a traffic stop near Manila, Arkansas.
After being struck, she said: "You can't punch me in my face." Trooper Arellano responded: "Says who?"
She repeatedly asked for help and to call her mother.
Alisa is a daughter. She is a young woman. She is a human being.
Too many times, we have watched routine traffic stops involving young Black people end in excessive and unnecessary force-or worse, with lives taken.
No one should have to fear being physically assaulted, harmed, or stripped of their dignity during a traffic stop.
Encounters with law enforcement must be grounded in professionalism, restraint, and respect for human life.
This should never have happened. Alisa Hackett deserves justice and full accountability from the Arkansas State Police.
