has anyone been on the website grids.fun if not there is an Arcane inspired grid that i made of my fav characters from some of these categories and my honest opinions on a few that were difficult for me to figure out.

with Minions and Monsters out today in the UK and with James releasing his newest i though for no reason id show my Illumination villains ranked best to worst

since the post couldn't go past 13 photos the bottom three are

after seeing Toy Story 5 i had the urge to go onto photoshop and make these beauties

first image is Zurg if he was an Omnitrix transformation

the other is Buzz if he was a plumber

im almost done with this series as i have the two part finale left and all i can say is

even though this is mainly aimed for a younger audience of lets say 10 year olds this really was an excellent reimagining of the world of Eternia and its characters. i watched this mainly for one of my fav voice actors Ben Diskin as Skeletor and he easily crushed it the moment i heard his voice def one of my fav versions of the character, same goes for Cringer.

after seeing a post revealing the English cast of Star Fox 26 i realized there were four big names that i recognized and then i just immediately made this sheet of what i know these voices for.

here is a tier list i made of every character from franchise (not counting Lightyear)

and for those introduced in 4 and 5 here is where id place them

in terms of cons i think the only one i have is that this was way too short, by the time we are halfway through everyone is already prepped for the final battle

as for my Pros:

i like the arcs some of our main leads go through such as Adam struggling when being next in line, Teela figuring out her powers and Skeletor's identity crisis

i like that they brought Gwildor back from the 87 movie and it was fun how he butts heads with Orko

William Shatner was pretty good as Keldor but i am obsessed way more with Keith David as Hordak this might be my fav version of him so far

i went on photoshop yesterday and i made this collage of pretty much every single playable character that is in the game from when it first came out all the way to the end of its run. and before anyone asks i put GLaDOS there to represent Portal because not only is she more recognisable but also cause she's integral to this games story

ok so this series is almost 5 years old so i thought it would be fun if i shared my honest thoughts on it as i watched it very recently in prep for the movie. also this will be spoiler free for those who haven't seen it yet

Animation: first things first the animation is absolutely beautiful. i like the way everybody and the location look in this they basically took the classic designs from the original cartoon and just made them more stylized and a little modern while still staying true to their old selves and the animation is at its best in the action scenes they really make you feel every fight.

Casting: the cast are really good across the board. its cool that they got Game of Thrones actors to play Man at Arms and Evil-Lynn, Buffy the Vampire Slayer herself was fun and gave Teela a good attitude, i liked hearing the voices of those like Danny Trejo, Justin Long, Tony Todd and Kevin Conroy they were nice little cameos but then there's the big one himself, Mark Hamill was fantastic as Skeletor the way he talks and acts felt like a huge mix of his version of The Joker mixed with Vincent Price.

References: even though i am roughly new to the MOTU franchise i did admire the references they included from the opening artwork looking like the box art for the original toys to including characters who only were made as toys and weren't in the OG show.

Characters: in terms of characterization i do like the way every major player is in this take on Eternia, some stands out to me of course is Skeletor, to be honest he is the one character that never is done dirty across all iterations, Evil-Lynn has some good moments too i liked her backstory and was surprised with what she ends up doing in the end. i really liked that scene she has with Orko where they bound over their childhood expectations that were thrust upon them both.

Story/Writing: now before going into this i knew already what this show does at the end of its first episode and it really surprised and pissed a lot of fans off but looking at it now i didn't really mind this sudden choice. with Adam (He-Man) being absent from the first half it really gave a lot of characters from his allies and enemies some moments to themselves and how much they need to get him back it kinda reminded me of what Scott Pilgrim Takes Off (which they did a lot better) aside from that in terms of writing choices i can think of i will say i like since this is a more serious show a lot of comedic and child friendly characters were treated, for example i don't mind Orko in the OG series he's fun but i like him way more here same goes for Cringer he's a lot cuter and wise for someone who's usually a scaredy cat, subtleties like that i really appreciate.

i would say more but that would lead me to going into spoiler territory so ill leave it here. if you havent seen this show id say give it a go.

for no reason at all i thought why not take random stills form the movie and redraw the characters as how they are in the Filmation series.

ok hear me out on this

the whole point of this video according to James is to trick people into clicking on it and realising its a video recommending obscure animated films. i doubt he will do this but i made this thumbnail on photoshop of his youtube icon over the absolute cinema image with all the western studios most of his viewers expect from him to talk about just to add to the trickery

Spoilers if you havent seen the film

i have been meaning to draw something based around this ever since i saw it so i came up with this cool little collage where the page is sectioned off into 6 columns

one half is the real world while the other half is the other reality.

PLEASE I NEED THAT SEQUEL FOR ETERNIAS SAKE, i really dont want this to be tossed aside because of the low box office revenue like what happeneed with Transformers One.

if you are somebody who is a big fan of He-Man or 80's cartoons i think you will get a huge kick out of this movie its a lot of fun and a great way to start the summer.
