Is Charlie the worst friend ever

This guy says he and George are like brothers and then snitches on them. Also how relieved George felt when he shoved the sock in charlies mouth and threw him in the door. He had enough

I think the addition of Natasha would've improved this roster

We need to talk about this

So a few months ago, I made a post here about how bm/ww couples are perceived and after a few months its still irritating to hear the misconceptions about white mothers and the children they conceive. Its irritating i must address yeah there's definitely racist people who date outside their race including white men. I for some reason keep seeing "white women do it the most." Yeah its becomes a game of he/she said instead of a real conversation, but then I noticed that this hatred for bm/ww not only stems from the obivous offenders (the white supremacists), but also certain people within the black community pushing the lie about white moms. Everyone has a different experience. My mom doesnt hate me nor my dad.

You can easily tell how one sided these opinions are. I dont think they accurately represent every black man white woman couple.

A confession about natasha

Comic books are complicated and no shows that better than Natasha Romanoff. While many people are able to easily say what they prefer out of this character. Im more on the rocks about her characterization i loved every black widow run (had a little dislike for Richard k Morgan's run, but im over that now.) Its weird because for me i see her more as an influential hero type who isnt afraid to get down and dirty. Unlike some of my peers im able to praise the Kelly Thompson run thats like my favorite bw book. I even have a poster on my wall of it. One of the few comics that actually made me cry and ill admit I was very agitated over some of the hate as an autistic person cuase I love that run so much. I have an attachment to the more heroic side of nat. Like yeah shes not bubbly (and id be concerned if she was, like i think Kelly's nat is nice, but shes not that bubbly really.) Yeah its sad to see that there are a lot of fans who disagree with me, but its not so sad when I see that there are fans who do love it.

However the popular opinion seems to lean more towards the anti hero and sometimes I feel so out of touch with everyone else despite there being othrr fans who love kellys take. Though I do know that I have every right to interpret her and the way I interpret her is a bit mixed. Ive always viewed her as some sort of heroic spy whether it be saving trafficked women/kids, kicking the f**k out of abusers, or fighting aliens. I really relate to the redemption stuff because I too feel guilt about things ive done in the past and its why that really reasonates with me. You guys have every right to disagree.

And also I must mention that I do adore her ruthlessness its just something that I had to think about over the years. I mean there are heroes who shoot people (pulp heroes basically) so I can easily say I dont really have a problem with her killing and im sure Steve and Matt know. Shes able to do the stuff they cant. I love that. Its really cool to have someone who can be nice and help save the world sometimes while also being a ruthless morally gray spy and taking down the people who deserve it. I just wanted tot get this out of the way cause its a lot.

I must come to discuss this in the most civil way possible

But honestly i think these accusations are just weird stretches for attention really. The atlantis and nadia accusations especially really get on my nerves. Ive seen nadia and I personally don't think its as good or as profound as atlantis really, and I stand by that. To get to the point, I must add that nadia and Atlantis have 2 different conflicts. Atlantis is about colonialism and capitalism whereas nadias conflict centers more on lineage. So I must ask why do people still bring this up even after many have said it's just a coincidence? I see it in some atlantis threads and I only see it as a way to demean the movie of its fantastic grandeur.

I will never not hate Jurassic Park 3 and this sub won't convince me otherwise

Also I'll admit i do somewhat have a nostalgia for this movie and have seen it a million times, but its a very rushed bloated mess that has nothing to say. Jurassic park was about how bring back a once extinct species has consequences, the lost world was about how these animals should be preserved while 3 is just how its okay to kidnap paleontologist and not go to jail for it cause family? Still the worst jp movie in my eyes and you cant tell me otherwise

Why do some people not like black widow

And i say this as someone whos heard all the arguments. How come some of you guys seem to think magik and wasp with less stories and appearances should be higher ranked? I must know why some people don't see the appeal. I think shes their greatest character ever and ive every single book and mini of hers. I can safely say shes very consistent. So why all this "put her in c tier" talk? Why call her bland? Do yall not like spies theyve always been a big part of the mu.

Is black widows death in the mcu really the reason why she hasn't appeared in a comic since New avengers ended

Mcu synergy is something we're all aware of im prettt sure, but it surprises me how nats being ignored alot. Im hoping she'll be in Armageddon, but unfortunately i don't think chip cares about her. The onyl times hes ever written her was little cameos. It sounds sad, but its life you cant force someone to write a character they sont want to write. I felt cheated with new avengers and I want her back on the team or in her own series back so bad. Hell ill take her in a guardians of the galaxy book over there being in nothing. Are writers literally not interested in her? Or is it that shes no oonger in the mcu. What is going on?

Is cat in the hat really that bad?

So last night a family member came over and she wanted to watch cat in the hat 2003 and so after dinner we watched it. I was expecting a horrible film and although I called it horrible, my brain seems to think of one question: was it really that bad? Well for one the set and costume designs are pretty decent. I really love the seussian gadgets too. I must also add that I laughed more than anyone watching the film, but im conflicted on whether that so called humor was good or bad like some of it is pretty gross. I do love the absurd bits like "you mean like at universal studios" Michael really just chews up the scenery and for an over the top performance, its really good. Always Baldwin on the other hand.... while his performance pretty much matches the zany elements of this movie, it feels really artifical and try hard and I think Mr Baldwin is a great actor. Overall the best i can say is its a movie, but i cannot for the life on me settle on a rating for this film.

Disney takes no one wants to here

First I'd love to talk about Ron Clements and john musker. Theyre good directors, they did in fact help kick off the disney Renaissance. Maybe hot take isnt the right word, but I just dont really vibe with their movies. I must also note that they don't really push the limits of disney like Gary trousdale and Kirk wise. I would talk about what movies of theirs I like and don't like, but ill just keep it there.

Dinosaur is a great movie. You heard that right. I think a lot of people underestimate it. Like yeah some of the cgi looks uncanny and it is slowly paced. However I'm really intrigued by it even if it is a land before time rip off. The visuals are stunning, the music score is groundbreaking, and id even go as far as to say the characters are actually good. Especially Kron hes a very compelling villain because he isnt someone who wants to take over a kingdom rather hes doing what he does out of survival and believes that only the strong should survive. Another thing is that ot abandons the fairy tale formula that im just not really a fan of.

Edit: Also there's an error in the title. Its supposed to be "hear"

Disney takes no one wants to hear vol 1

I've come to say that I have some very unpopular opinions about disney films.

Lets talk about Ron Clements and john musker. Theyre good directors, but imho they don't really push the limits of disney like Gary trousdale and Kirk wise. They just make basic kids movies with bathroom humor and pop culture references, which isnt exactly bad, but its usually hit or miss. These 2 have made a bunch of films under the disney umbrella, and there's only 3 i actually find great: hercules princess and the frog, and Moana. but all of their movies including their best film hercules have a lot of issues whether it be being predictable, juvenile humor, clunky structuring, mid storytelling, and bad pacing. They do really nothing special for the company outside of hercules. Their own passion project imho was well not that good. Sometimes I feel that hercules feels like their passion project rather than the only movie they really wanted to make. Also their rush to get treasure planet in explains all the issues with their earlier films. Its a miracle hercules was so great. I must also address ik some of you will be mad, but I must digress if you like these directors than okay.

They did help kick off the disney Renaissance sort of. But the thing it's really a matter of taste. I don't really vibe with their style of filmmaking.

Taylor is lucky to have kept her og vhs copy of Toy story one while I lost mine.

Or at least I had to replace it 4 times and its possible this isnt it. She couldve easily bought a new one and that tape is pretty common to the point where it would just cost her like 1 dollar.

So I've noticed that a lot of random people trash snow white

Honestly it infuriates me. People aren't saying it's great cause it the first disney movie. Its great cuase its beautifully animated, well written especially the dialogue, the suspense, the voice acting, the pacing isnt really bad, its actually great. The villain is fantastic. The protagonist is too. So why do we hate this movie but put those 4 early Renaissance movies (that arent the one with the giant eagle cause yall often forget it) on a pedestal? Let's talk about aladdins pacing or lion kings fart joke and how about the Stockholm syndrome movie which is the best of the bunch, and don't get me started on the wierd film with the Jamaican crab. You slander my favorite i slander yours.

Will the horror tape craze ever come to an end

I must admit im not a horror person, but its just so weird to not see any horror tapes at the thrift shop anymore. A few years ago there were some, but now it's none which is due to high demand. What ive heard is that some thrift stores never put them out or just sell em online. I honestly think they should be sold for the same price as every other vhs tape honestly. Also I wish they were easier to find. Will the scalping trend ever end?

My jurassic hot takes

Ian Malcolm is an amazing lead:

I always see people complaining about him being a lead character and that he lacked the charm he did in the first, but you see that's kind of the point. Its basically him evolving into a more serious character. He's like an army veteran, hes dealt with this before.

Scarlett Johansson was good in Rebirth:

yes it's not her best role nor in her top 20 roles, but i will argue that she did a good job and was not miscast. Maybe im biased cause she is one of my favorite actresses and I've just so happened to watch most of her movies, so ofc I act defensive about this. It saddens me when people say she was miscast or not talented because she obivously is very talented she's proved that time and time again.

They handled Spinosaurus poorly in Jurassic Park 3:

Yes spino is intimatdating, but I dont think they needed to put him on the logo nor did they have to replace the trex entirely. They couldve had the group encounter junior too. I feel like I'd appreciate spinosaurus more if they didnt treat it like a Rex replacement and the end result just reeks of edgy 2000s vibes.
