I am working in an older school building that is not properly air conditioned and we just renovated this section of the building (still no air conditioning) and converted a fixture to LED. we are having trouble having the tubes to stay lit and found the tombstones to be bad. the maintenance supervisor here wants to replace the fixture with the cheapest disposable fixture that money can buy, the room is rarely used and the school is a private school with limited funds. can anyone find a super cheap fixture?

We are looking into getting some spare ballasts and tubes for the 6 tube fixtures over this basketball court. The outer 4 tube fixtures are instant start T8s but the inner 6 tubes fixtures are F54T5HO but with an unknown ballast. all of them run on 277 volts. Also I am looking for a good smart switch for these lights as this school has a habit of blocking the switches. The reason why I am asking is because we haven’t had to change a T5 tube in roughly 10 years and we had a ballast poop out last year plus our athletic director loves the way the lights come on And wants phone control because of the bad habit.

the emergency battery pack failed on this light and the fire marshal is requiring us to fix it but I don’t know how to change the battery and we can’t afford new fixtures

this is an Oracle, GAL, hydraulic elevator with a rather tasteful “mod”. this mod was done rather recently as it added a new PI in the cab and replaced the buttons out in the hall. the controller I would guess is a Dover controller because that is what the certificate says. this is a nice elevator, aside from the noisy fan.

this was taken during my shift, this siren was first recorded by DSRX100 and the rotor had a glitch, it’s fixed now.

I just installed this projector in a classroom to replace an aging Epson VGA projector. IT handed me the remote and the projector and told me to swap out the projector and VGA cable for this HDMI projector and cable. This remote will not communicate with this projector nor any of the other projectors (except for the one in our computer lab and chemistry lab as they are older) in the school. thank you for trying to help out.

we had a fire inspection today. we failed. for those who don’t get what is going on, we had some of our fluorescent lights converted to LED. that white box with the red light is our emergency ballast that operates two fixtures, the one that is open and one that is mostly off camera. there is writing on the fixture that says ”do not convert to LED”, someone ignored it and put in LEDs and our emergency light in here will not work if LEDs are installed in one of the fixtures.

looks rough but runs really well. That rattle is from the front cover not being attached. They say old ac units are loud, this one is quiet.

I found this old AirMaid fan at work and I had to get it running. it is blissful and keeps the office I am in nice and cool

it is an AirMaid filtered centrifugal fan from a long time ago. it’s got faux wood grain sides and an egg crate front grille. the whole fan is metal.

if you haven’t changed your filters in the past month, it’s probably time to do it even if it looks clean. I want you to take a guess on when the last time this filter was changed. this was a Merv 1 fiberglass filter.
