How much sweat is normal when working out? Does exercise get easier?

I’m very unfit I think. Walking is about the most I do and that’s only cause I don’t have a car lol. I just did a home workout video on YouTube, it’s by a YouTube channel called Madfit it was just beginners 15 minute workout no jumping etc cause I’m upstairs. I’m absolutely sweating like genuinely dripping. Please tell me it gets better the more I get used to exercise? My arms were shaking I think they’re quite weak because I can barely even do a push up. I am thinking of starting the gym but I just wanna try and home for a little bit just to get my general fitness and stamina up lol. I’m not really exercising for weight loss, more just for health benefits as idk it just dawned on me that I’m 21 and I need to move my body more. Does it get easier the more you do it? It’s 25 degrees in UK so maybe that’s contributing to it but damn😂

Beginner to meal prep

I’m going back to work/uni in a few weeks and over the summer I’ve just turned into a slob and I wanna get back on track with eating healthy etc. about meal prep like sorry this may sound dumb but say you make chicken and potatoes, and you bring that to work with you, can you eat it cold if you don’t have somewhere to heat it up ? I’m not fussed about taste just wondering if it’s safe to eat cold. And also when you make food like how long do you have to leave it to cool down before you put in the fridge? Sorry it might sound dumb but usually I make food for dinner and eat it straight away but I wanna start doing meal prep so need to learn how to store it safely. Also say it’s a Sunday night and I’m making food for Monday at work, how long can you store the food in the fridge? Like do u have to Cook a new batch every night or can it stay a few days in the fridge? I have health anxiety and worry about germs bacteria food poisoning etc.

If there’s any tips for meal prepping please let me know. Or any easy healthy lunches/breakfasts. Vegetarian or meat I don’t mind. Sick of eating cereal and I’m hungry in an hour lol.

Thanks so much 😊😊

What is the best exercise I can do for my health?

I know this sounds bad but I basically don’t exercise besides from walks. I want to start exercising for my health, not that I’m drastically unhealthy but I eat quite well I guess and I just wanna start exercising so I can be healthier. Where is the best place to start? What’s the best type of cardio? I wanna do more because I get out of breath quick and I wanna be able to do things for longer. I’m 20F.

Also idk why is this normal like everything is clicking when I’m doing like lunges or squats.

Pizza dough

Hi guys,

I wanna make my own pizza dough which I know how to do but I was just wondering about how I go about cooking it? Usually I use the shop bought pizza bases and then add my own toppings etc but they are already cooked. Do I make my dough and cook it and then add toppings and cook again or do I just add the toppings on top raw dough and cook? Sorry it may seem like a stupid question. I just have an average oven so not like a pizza oven or anything

Dune jargon

Im currently reading the first dune book. Never seen the movies, I have somewhat an idea of what the movies are about but barely seen anything only clips. I wanna read the books first like I do with most things but I’m rlly confused. Does the author just assume you know everything in this world? Like Paul has just got to Arakkis and I really like him so far but like there’s so much jargon and words which i have to keep pausing to google it, and I’m reading on a kindle so I’m sorry if there is a glossary but idk. It’s just like there’s lots of things mentioned but the author doesn’t rlly explain what it is and just assumes that the reader knows? I’m really excited to keep reading but I feel like should I have watched it first?

Idk what I’m doing with my life

Im 21f from the uk. I don’t know what I’m doing with my life. When I was younger I thought I’d have all these amazing experiences by now, friends, be in a relationship, be going places etc. Instead my reality is I work full time 9-5, absolutely zero friends, only go to work and home, never been abroad, never been on holiday, never had a boyfriend, barely even been to a restaurant, basically do nothing.

I don’t know what to do. You could say some of it is my fault, like I am quite shy but since leaving school I just naturally haven’t made any friends. Work colleagues have a small chat at work but they aren’t my friends really.

Can’t afford to go on holiday, currently doing driving lessons and can barely afford that tbh and when if I pass I probs won’t be able to get a car for a long time.

I’m meant to be starting a primary education degree so I can train to be a teacher. That’s 3 years, which in the long run will be beneficial due to the job I will gain but in the mean time it’s less money and I’ll be working in hospitality on the weekends.

I feel like my life is passing me by. I’m 21 and never done anything. Some of it I can’t help and some of it maybe I could make a change but where do you even start when your social circle is literally zero. It’s not like I can meet a friend through a friend. My phone doesn’t get a single text, even on birthdays only person who says happy birthday is my parents. Basically invisible. I’ve got basically zero pictures from the past 10 years because I’ve done nothing apart from go to school, or as I became an adult go to work.

I just wanna have experiences, I wanna have people. I think maybe that’s the main thing. People to talk to, people to experience things with, making memories. Currently I’m off work and genuinely have nothing to do. Watch movies and tv and do some reading yeah. But I don’t wanna do that all day. I’m just wanna have a good life and when I’m older I wanna look back at it.

How can I know for sure God is real?

I started going to church, taking my faith seriously, applied for a theology degree, reading and studying the Bible regularly and then I just stopped. Can anyone help me understand why? I don’t understand why I just stopped

Sometimes life without religion feels more free and lighter but also when I know I have Jesus, everything seems a bit more better. That there is a reason for all of this. That it doesn’t matter what happens, Jesus loves me. At the end of each day, no matter how good or bad it is, the constant of having Jesus and feeling like I have something to confide in. But then at the same time, idk if I’m using that becuase I’m lonely and Jesus feels like I have someone or because I’m terrified of dying then believing in Jesus helps comfort me with the idea of an afterlife.

I don’t get it I don’t know what to believe or what to do anymore. Sometimes Jesus feels like the most real thing I’ve ever known and felt and on the other hand I can see so many ways that God might not be real and Christianity is not true. I want to believe. In every aspect of my life I’m a moral and rightful person and a lot of things that Christianity is against, I naturally don’t partake in ahwyay which always makes me wonder if I’m supposed to be a Christian or that it’s just an innate knowing that it’s wrong. I’m so confused. I feel like I need evidence all the time that he is real. Nothing else would I believe at face value, not something that huge and meaningful. I need to know if it’s real or fake but idk how I’m supposed to.

I know God wants use to authentically believe but why can’t he just show us for definite. It feels like a test and whether your competency of deciphering scripture is good enough to know if god is real or not. It makes me wonder because people like priests and nuns dedicate their whole life to God. They must feel something that others don’t. They surely wouldn’t dedicate their whole life and make sacrifices for something that wasn’t true??

I’m so lost rn tbh. Sorry for the rant

What do I do if the bank won’t stamp my statement?

I’m meant to be starting university in September. I need a dbs check for course and I need to give ID. I’ve got provisional liscence and a copy of my birth certificate but it’s signed by a registrar, I didn’t print it myself etc. I need one more piece of ID. I don’t have a passport or any bills cause I live at home. I need a bank statement signed but my bank said they don’t stamp statements anymore but I got a proper bank statement printed out by the bank (unsigned), do you think this will be ok? I’m rlly stressing like I don’t have so many forms of ID. My passport ran out over a year ago so it’s useless.

How normal is it for a period to be so much of an inconvenience

Every period feels like a curse. It’s that time again. I can’t wear the clothes I want to wear or planned to wear. Basically any non essential plans are cancelled. Bloating to the max, and I mean like I look pregnant. Going to work feels like the biggest chore - Not being able to use the toilet as often as you like and bending down, moving constantly. I know that sounds really lazy cause it’s just a period and it can’t stop me living my life but sometimes it feels like it does. Like I can’t call work call in sick ‘sorry can’t come due to my period. ‘Wearing like 2/3 pads in one go cause scared of leaking and if I wear one it just feels like it’ll leak or go around the pad, bedsheets ruined, feels like I’m giving birth to blood clots like literally feeling them pass. Day 3 I think wow it’s dried up I can maybe use a smaller pad, big mistake midday at work all over my trousers and I work in a school everyone can see it and I don’t have any spare trousers on me. Every time I go the toilet it gets into my inner thighs or running down my legs. It feels like such a chore such an inconvenience. Like this pad adverts for always where they’re jumping around dancing and playing sports 🤣🤣. Is this normal for anyone else? For that period week, my period rules my life. And then for the week after my period all my underwear is getting ruined cause it’s not quite blood but it’s that brown blood stuff. Tried to use these more natural pads which are better for you and they feel so much thinner and soak through quicker. Ugh. Sorry for rant but I don’t rlly have anyone to talk to about periods and I just wanted to know if anyone relates. I also don’t know how to know if my period is too heavy because it feels like it is but idk how much is normal.

How fast are lessons supposed to me moving?

I started lessons about 7 weeks ago, only done about 3/4 hours because the instructor has cancelled several times on me. Not to mention cancelling an hour before the lesson when the students have a 48 hour notice policy or they won’t get refunded. Anyway. I was just wondering how fast are lessons supposed to be moving? I understand everyone learns at a different pace. I’m fine with the wheel and we have been on the same road for the entire time and all we have done is go up and down it. We start at the one end, drive down to the end of the road, do a 3 point turn, and then drive back and do a U turn and repeat. Thats for the entire lesson. Have also been learning reversing cause there’s like a side street attached to this road and we r doing that every time we come back down the road, and there’s a mini round about which you have to pass every time aswell. I have got the gist of the pedals and understand how to use them and when, breaking sometimes I’m a bit harsh and we have been working on it, more a chat rather than her letting me try. Someone told me I should be doing left and right turns and other stuff by now. Someone told me a 3 point turn isn’t on a test aswell but idk. Everyone’s telling me to change instructor but I just wanted to know anyone else’s experience.

Also for advice I was wondering if anyone had any advice on the breaking. I press it down too much it’s too harsh. Press it a little nothing barely happens. How do I get a smooth stop, like if ur in traffic and u are coming to a stop how do u get it smooth like that.

How long does it take you to eat a meal?

Last year for some reason it’s like my throat stopped working I couldn’t swallow food. It was actually anxiety due to fear of choking. I’m over that now and I’m eating fine but it still takes me like 45 mins to eat a meal and I’m wondering is this normal for a slow eater? I used to be able to eat it in like 10 mins before.

How much reading is too much?

I started reading a game of thrones and can’t put it down, I’ve been reading about 3 hours a day and i work full time too so it’ll be more on the weekends etc, and ive been sick for 2 days this week so extra reading time lol. How much is too much reading? I know some people literally finish a book in a whole day but I was wondering what is the ‘normal’ or average amount of reading? And for a book that is like 800 pages I wanna get them read faster cause I wanna watch it 😭

Idk what I’m doing with my life rn

I went to uni at 19 for biomedical science. Hated it and dropped out. Been working as a teaching assistant in a primary school for a year and I do like it. I applied to a teaching degree and I did an interview and got a place and now I’m wondering do I really wanna do this. I love working with the children and the school environment but idk if I want that stress of uni or the stress of being a teacher as i see a lot of teachers very highly stressed and they have so much more to deal with than being a TA, like admin stuff etc. I really don’t know what I’m doing with my life. Feel like a failure tbh. Like in all honestly I don’t care about climbing a career ladder or any of that stuff, but I do wanna be comfortable and that means I have to work for it, but at the same time I feel exhausted before I’ve even started. I feel like if I don’t do uni what will I do now? I’m 20, where else is there for me to go. What career will I get into or what job will be able to sustain my life. I live at home rn and I’d not be able to move out any time soon, I do save alot but I mean monthly wages ain’t gonna cover the bills if i moved out. I literally just wish there was someone telling me what I need to do. I’m academic. I have grade 8s at GCSES and I have A levels and I’m probably more than capable of writing essays and doing all that but idk I just feel like i can’t be bothered. When I get home from work I just wanna go to the gym, read books, spend time with family, not be there writing essays for a degree that I don’t even know if I wanna do or that I don’t know will get me a job. And teaching will guarantee a job but I just don’t know. If I don’t do it I’ll regret it, if I do do it I’ll probably wish I i didn’t. And then I start spiralling. What if I want kids one day? How will I afford them. Will these jobs be enough to afford children? All this stuff like damn idk anymore I’m so lost. I’m 20F.

Is it normal to be this excited over a book?

I started reading game of thrones last night. Ok I’m obsessed with it. I’m dreaming about the book somehow. For some reason I thought it was gonna be super hard to read or that I wouldn’t understand it, I was intimidated by it for a while. I haven’t seen the show but a few friends have spoke about the show so I have a few spoilers here and there but mainly I I know nothing. I’m literally sooo excited to keep reading and then I can watch the show. Like I got to the first Arya chapter and I know she’s a stark and I really like the starks so far. Lannisters I’m not vibing with and I already know about Joffrey and Sansa unfortunately from friends who have spoiled it for me. But I’m sooooo excited lol. This is actually the first fantasy book I’ve read. The last book I just finished was call me by your name, which was amazing too. and worst thing is I have to go to work and do errands and I can’t spend all day reading it ☹️
