Sometime I come in here and I cry

Because I finally find people who encounter the exact same issue than me, until I notice that it's my own post of 4 years ago

I can't believe nothing really improved in close to 6 years

6 years without being able to go out with my friends, to travel, or to live basically

My life has been stolen

Tried psyllium Capsules for the first time

Hello

I did try psyllium as powder multiple times.

1gr --> 2gr --> 3gr (And never been able to take more because I was feeling worse).

I wanted to try the capsule because most people take it under that form and say that it helped tremendously.

However, I’m not getting the effect I was hoping for... I'm taking them since now 12 days. (I started with 3 capsules, I take now 4 after 10 days)

I take psyllium to make my stools a little firmer and better formed, and to help with the incomplete evacuation. My overall diet is kinda poor in fibers (Because I barely tolerate them)

However, the psyllium doesn’t seem to mix properly with the stool. I can just see gelatinous clumps inside the stool, but the stool itself isn’t really “coated” or bound together, so it remains pasty and soft.

I drink 250 mL of water with 4 capsules (4 × 500 mg) with my lunch, and I drink approximately 2–2.5 L of water per day.

Any reason the psyllium is not "mixing" correctly with the stools?

Thank you

Poops & Gas that burn the anus

Hello

Do you have this issue too?

I don't have a fissure, proctologist found nothing.

Ofc the pain ended leading to pelvic floor issue because of the hypertonia from the pain.

But I'm still trying to understand how a simple gas can cause such pain

I have tons of sibo symptoms

I was positive to hydrogen.

I took some supplements to treat it.

I got decent results with 2gr a day until it stopped working, I tried to increase slowly from there but it just went worse.

Let me know what helped for you

Met a 10th gastroenterologist

She said to continue the Biofeedback (for my Pelvic issues) but that at the level of the gastro, nothing could be done (all tests came back clean).

I keep having incomplete evacuation of loose stools.

The discomfort feeling is 90% of the time under the belly button until a flare up.

Anything that could be done beside the biofeedback?

Thank you

Lettuce flare up?

Hello

I was feeling ""ok"" since 10-14 days

I ate maybe 10gr of lettuce 48h ago.

Then this lunch I ate it again, maybe 20-30gr.

4hours later I keep burping, I have cramps, I went to toilets 2 times, I feel a bit nauseous, Tired, got huge anxiety without any reason.

Could it be such a little dose of lettuce?

Thank you

How to keep my transit regular?

When I take fibers (like psyllium & others), it gives me loose stools or it has no effects (I tried to increase the dosage slowly during years without it working).

I tried some laxatives but it makes everything worse.

My transit slows downs, then ferments, and then I have a flare up

Right now I can feel the stools & the pressure in my sigmoid colon (I went not enough to toilets last 3 days). When I go it's mainly incomplete evacuation.

I can't deny that I'm too sedentary because of my job.

I tried sunfiber too and some others

Thanks

Symptoms before "flare up"

I slept 8 hours but woke up with headache, tiredness, brainfog and swollen eyes.

Of course, when I went to toilets, it was those sticky yellowish stools that are soft but extremly hard to pass, this leads to incomplete evacuation & burning feeling.

It's quite amusing, because my entire health is directly linked to my gut, these symptoms that precede a bowel movement are directly correlated to the state of my stool.

I've observed this hundreds of times over the past five years. Once the bowel movement is complete (in several stages), the headache disappears, my mind clears, and my fatigue diminishes.

It is like my whole body & system was fully empoisoned.

Neighbor dog that barks all the time

Hello,

I moved here 9 months ago.

For the past 9 months, my neighbor’s dog has been barking every single day. It prevents me from working, I am woken up every morning by the barking, and I can no longer take naps during the day.

I have already spoken to the owner about it, but he claimed that his dog does not bark much.

The previous tenant of the place where I live had already complained about the dog as well, and my other neighbor confirmed this too.

Despite this, the mediator told me that she could not do anything, and that the officers who came by 2 or 3 times did not witness any excessive barking.

I eventually recorded the barking with a camera, and sometimes it goes on for more than 3 hours without stopping. I have counted thousands of barks.

Despite all this, the police have been of no help.

The situation has already escalated several times with the neighbor. It is ruining my life. I already have serious health problems, and not being able to sleep makes everything even worse.

Thank you.

The guilt is the worst part

It has been 7 months.

I got enough time to understand why she left after 5 years.

I know that most part is my fault, I try to be gentle to myself because I have my own burdens that obviously impact the way I was with her and other people.

But it's hard because it shows how bad this relationship has been wasted. She left crying, unable to tell me farewell, but her silence says a lot about us.

Even thought I mattered for her, even thought she loved me, she is gone & silent since 6 months.

Maybe to protect me, maybe to protect her, whatever the reason, the result is the same. The guilt & the pain remains despite the time is passing

Small fiber neuropathy?

Hello,

I'll try to keep this brief.

For more than 10 years, my 40-year-old brother has been suffering from chronic back pain. It started seemingly at random and has only gotten worse over time.

In addition to that, part of his back has become numb.

His pain is described as burning and electric-shock-like, and it often makes him scream in agony. The affected areas of his back seem to be expanding over the years. Even something as simple as wearing a T-shirt can trigger severe pain episodes, as can walking on hard surfaces.

He can no longer move around normally, sit comfortably, or carry things.

Neurologists and pain clinics have been unable to find any explanation or effective treatment.

He also eventually developed epilepsy. When he has seizures, we almost always have to call an ambulance because they do not stop on their own.

He is already being treated for epilepsy with multiple medications, which cause numerous side effects.

He simply no longer has a life. We live in Belgium, and he has seen virtually every specialist and expert in the region.

He thinks that he has the small fibers neuropathy but the doctors refused to do the biopsy..

Thank you.
