Bought a Legion Go 2 yesterday! Super excited :D

I just bought a Legion Go 2 with the Ryzen Z2 Extreme, and so far I’m really liking it. The screen is gorgeous, it feels super premium and having a full Windows handheld that can do PC games, mods, emulation, desktop apps, etc. is honestly really cool.

I haven’t properly tested a bunch of games yet, so I’m still very early into figuring out what this thing can actually do.

Most of my testing so far has been Minecraft Java because I like modding it heavily and making it look ridiculously pretty. I’ve been playing around with Fabric, visual mods, shaders, animations, moving foliage, particles all that stuff.

Without shaders it runs great but heavier shaders like Complementary Unbound can drop the FPS a lot more than I expected. I’m plugged in and currently using around 35W SPL / 37W SPPT / 45W FPPT with 10GB UMA.

I know Minecraft Java with shaders can be weirdly demanding, so I’m definitely not using that alone to judge the Go 2. I still need to try actual AAA games, emulation, lighter games, etc. before I really know how I feel about the performance.

I’m curious what other Go 2 Z2 Extreme owners are getting across different games. What settings/TDP/UMA are you using, what games run especially well, and are there any settings I should change right away?

Really enjoying the device so far I’m just in that phase where I keep tweaking everything and trying to figure out where its limits actually are lol.

Minecraft shaders tanking FPS on Legion Go 2

I just bought a Legion Go 2 with the Z2 Extreme and I’m trying to figure out if my Minecraft Java performance is normal. I’m using my own Fabric setup with Complementary Unbound (I tried Axas perfect pack which has a lot of heavy mods and a heavy shader and I gotten less than 30 FPS). Without shaders Minecraft runs fine. As soon as I turn Complementary Unbound on, my FPS drops a lot more than I expected.

I’m plugged in and using Custom mode with 35W SPL / 37W SPPT / 45W FPPT, and UMA is currently set to 10GB.

I’m mainly trying to get a smooth 60 FPS while still keeping the game looking good. If anyone here plays Java with shaders on the Legion Go 2, what resolution, render distance, TDP, UMA setting, and shader preset are you using? And what FPS do you usually get? I’m new to the legion family I just bought it today. I just don’t want to feel like I wasted my money… :(

Anyone still using StreetPass in Michigan?

Is anyone in Michigan still using StreetPass or carrying their 3DS around? I’m around the Detroit area and was wondering if anyone ever hosts meetups/events here or if there are certain places people usually go to get passes :3

Did I make a mistake buying a PS Vita? Need game recommendations

I think I made a mistake getting a PS Vita I wanted one because I was feeling nostalgic and thought it would be fun having an older PlayStation handheld again…

One of the main reasons I got it was LittleBigPlanet. I genuinely thought I’d be able to play basically the whole LBP series on it, and then I found out I’m mainly looking at LBP Vita and the PSP game unless I stream the others

Now I’m going through the Vita/PSP library and a lot of the games I’m seeing just aren’t really my thing.

I like cozy games, farming/life sims, cute or colorful games, free roaming, and MOST importantly games with a lot of objectives and things to do. I hate when a game just drops me somewhere and expects me to make my own fun lol. I also don’t really like rhythm games.

My Vita is modded, so PSP recommendations are completely fine too. Please put me onto something because right now I feel like I bought this thing just to play LBP >_<

Is Starsand Island worth buying again on Switch if I already own it on Steam Deck?

I already own Starsand Island on my Steam Deck, but I’m considering buying it on Switch too.

My Switch would probably be my primary console for the game just because I prefer how simple it is to pick up and play, and I tend to use my Switch more for cozy/life sim games.

For anyone who has played the Switch version, is it good enough that you’d recommend buying it again? How does the performance/visual quality compare to Steam Deck? Any major differences or downsides?

Basically trying to decide if having it on my preferred console is worth paying for it twice lol.

X 360 Alpha v0.1.0 is officially available!!!

Hi everyone! so i’m back with another X 360 update lol. i’ve been posting my progress on here for a little while now and i finally got it to a point where i’m comfortable letting other people actually test it

Alpha v0.1.0 is officially out! there’s still gonna be bugs since this is literally the first alpha, but most of the main stuff is working now. you can scan your ROMs, get game artwork/info, launch games straight into their emulators, use custom gamertags/gamerpics, RetroAchievements + gamerscore, the guide, recently played games, touch/controller controls, etc.

Right now it supports 3DS, DS, Wii, GameCube, GBA, N64, NES, SNES, Switch, PSP, PS1, PS2 and Dreamcast! i definitely plan on adding more as i keep working on it.

The alpha is available for members on my Patreon if anybody wants to test it and support the project :)

I also finally made a Discord for X 360 lol. that’s where i’m gonna post updates, take bug reports/suggestions, help with stuff, and just talk about the project.

New to Minecraft how do you make it feel cozy instead of overwhelming? 🥹

i’ve always thought minecraft looked super fun and played with my siblings on xbox 360 when i was a looot younger. I watch a lot of lives on tiktok of ppl streaming them playing minecraft and i always get so intrigued with their builds and them free roaming finding ideas what to do next. i tried playing java not that long ago and lost interest way too fast because i didnt know what to do.

i don’t really know how to build either, where i’m supposed to build, or how people come up with ideas for their worlds and it’s lowkey depressing lmao 🧍🏻‍♀️

i’m not really interested in making giant redstone machines or anything super technical. i just want a relaxing, cozy experience where i can decorate, explore, have animals, and always feel like i have something enjoyable to work toward but I always get lost and don’t know where to start.

i’d love to hear any advice i just have no idea where to begin.

22F / EST / PC & SWITCH

hii :D

22f from the U.S. here! i’m happily married so i’m only looking for genuine, platonic friendships. i’ve been realizing lately that i really miss having people to game with regularly, send random tiktoks to, laugh over dumb stuff, and just exist in vc with. i’m not looking for someone to play one game once and disappear forever i’d really love something long term.

lately i’ve been into palworld, fields of mistria, go go town, pokopia, heartopia, the sims, animal crossing, stardew valley, call of duty black ops 3 and 2, minecraft , FiveM and i’m always open to trying new games if we click! i also don’t mind survival games or zombies every now and then :D

i mainly play on pc and switch.

outside of gaming i’m into coding, drawing, baking, and being a mom and a wife :), so life can get a little busy sometimes but gaming is how i relax after everything. i also have adhd, so if i randomly start talking your ear off about a game i’m obsessed with… just know you’ve been chosen lmao

i can be a little shy at first, but once i’m comfortable i yap way too much. i love sitting in discord even if we’re playing completely different games. we don’t always have to be talking either. i’m perfectly happy just having someone around while we both do our own thing. send me your favorite memes, your random thoughts at 1am, screenshots of your games, or ask me to hop on because you’re bored.

just a few things! please be 18+, lgbtq+ friendly. i don’t care if you’re amazing at games or terrible at them because honestly i’m just here to have fun. bonus points if you’re patient, kind, and enjoy laughing over the dumbest things. :)

send me a message! tell me a little about yourself, what you’ve been playing lately or what game we’d play together and spend hours on! i’d love to meet some genuinely sweet people on here. ♡

Project Update! Boot Screen, Guide, Game Details & More

Just wanted to post another progress update because I’ve made a ton of progress lately. :)

I finished recreating the Xbox 360 boot animation and I’m now finishing up the original loading screen that plays right before the dashboard appears. Seeing it transition into the dashboard has honestly been one of my favorite parts of the project so far.
After that I spent a lot of time improving the home screen by adjusting the layout, spacing, sizing, and overall feel so it matches the real Xbox 360 as closely as possible.

I’ve also been making a lot of progress on the Xbox Guide and the gamer picture system. Another huge feature I recently finished is the new Game Details page. It now has Overview, Details, Extras, and Gallery tabs, along with game descriptions, developers, publishers, genres, release dates, ESRB ratings, screenshots, achievements, and a bunch of other metadata that gets cached after the first download.

There’s still a lot more I want to add, but it’s finally starting to feel like a real Xbox 360 dashboard instead of just a concept. Thanks again to everyone who’s been following along and leaving feedback. Reading the comments and suggestions has genuinely helped shape this project and keeps me motivated to keep pushing it further.

Let me know what you guys think and what else I should add!

(Also sorry for the choppiness I had to cut out what I wasn’t finished with so I did a looot of editing)

Does Fields of Mistria always give you objectives?

Hey! I’m thinking about buying Fields of Mistria but I was wondering how guided it is.

I love cozy games but I like when they always give me quests or tasks so I feel like I’m progressing toward something instead of making my own goals it’s hard to explain. For example, I really like how Pokopia and Heartopia always seem to have another objective, or quest waiting for you. 😅

Does Fields of Mistria feel like that too? Or does it eventually become more of a “do whatever you want” kind of game? I don’t mind farming and decorating I just don’t want to feel lost after a few hours or get bored basically lol. I like a goal because it keeps me busy mostly.

Thank you!

A small progress update on my Xbox 360 Metro Dashboard project

I’ve finally gotten to the point where I have enough of my Xbox 360 Metro dashboard project working to share a small preview. I’ve been recreating it for my AYN Thor because I wanted something that actually captures the feeling of using an Xbox 360 growing up. I’ve been putting a lot of time into the little details since those are what made the original dashboard feel so memorable. It’s still a long way from finished but I’m really happy with how it’s starting to come together.

I’d love to hear what everyone thinks so far and if there’s anything you’d want to see included. I know a lot of people have been asking for the original Blades dashboard too. That’s definitely something I’d like to make in the future, but I wanted to recreate the Metro dashboard first because that’s the one that feels nostalgic to my generation.

Also the video has a lot of cuts because I intentionally left out the unfinished parts. I didn’t want to show placeholder menus or features that aren’t working yet so I figured it would be better to share the sections I’m happy with for now. Once more of the project is finished I’ll post a full walkthrough with everything included.

Building an Xbox 360 frontend from scratch. Thoughts so far?

i’m trying to recreate the metro dashboard as closely as possible for my emulators. it’s still a work in progress I have a lot of work to do, but does it look like i’m heading in the right direction? what would you change to make it feel even more authentic?

(Ignore the FPS counter. The screen was idle when I took the picture)

Yoshi Crafted World white and pink graphics then crashes on eden

Anyone know a fix? :(

Game loads fine but once I get to The Sundream Stone the graphics turn white and pink then it crashes

Tried the standard and optimized Eden builds Turnip 26 and cleared shader cache but still happens

Anyone get this game working on the Thor?

Should I update to iOS 27 beta?

i’m on an iphone 17 pro max and i’m debating whether i should install the ios 27 beta. i’ve seen people mention there are still some bugs, but i honestly really like the new ui and the overall look of it.

for those of you already running the beta on the 17 pro max, is it stable enough to use every day? how bad are the bugs you’ve run into? are they just small annoyances or are there any major issues like battery drain, overheating, or apps crashing?

would you recommend updating now or waiting for a later beta/public release?

How did you study for the RMA exam with ADHD?

Hi everyone.

I’m about to finish my medical assistant externship through Ross Medical, and my RMA exam is coming up. I just found out there are 210 questions and im lowkey panicking.

I have a really hard time studying because I learn best by doing things hands on and visually. Reading a textbook or notes over and over just doesn’t stick and I feel like I forget everything unfortunately

Medical terminology and medications are by far my weakest subjects…

For those of you who passed the RMA (especially if you have ADHD or struggle with traditional studying), how did you study? What actually helped you retain the information? Did flash cards help?

I’m feeling pretty overwhelmed and would really appreciate any advice from people who have been in the same position. Thank you! 🩷
