Video of Mac DeMarco dancing to an Italian disco sounding song (what is the song??)

The video was like in a house and everyone was silly dancing. It kinda sounded like Okay Okay by Pink D’Angio but idk if it was actually Italian.

Anyone know the video or song?

My therapist said “do you think you can love without making another person your purpose” … how can I accomplish this? What steps can I take/ask myself?

I used to pride myself in how much alone time I could spend in my hobbies. Traveling? Dining? I can do whatever I want!

But for the last decade or so (I’m 30 now), I’ve felt that switch to a need for every moment to feel connected with a loved one. Friends, family, and the most prioritized in my life - romantically.

Too often I put others needs ahead of my own. So much so I bend my boundaries. And it comes back to ruin a situation or relationship that matters to me. All because I didn’t stand my ground from the beginning. I have a fear of abandonment and conflict and causing disappointment, my therapist has pointed out. Where do I go from here.

I always have this feeling in my head that “if I were holding hands with my love right now, it would be the best version of this moment.”

I can’t seem to get rid of this feeling. For anything I do. I’ve experienced seemingly every version of an errand, concert, road trip, work, hobby, etc with and without a partner. And I’d choose with a partner every time. I know how much better it feels, and it makes me sad to experience those things without, to the point I often don’t do them (i.e. going to San Francisco sounds nice, but i know I’ll want to be holding someone’s hand the whole time, and that makes me sad, so I’d rather not go, and save it for when I have a partner).

My therapist said “do you think you can love without making another person your purpose” - but what if I want my purpose to be a shared life with someone? I deeply feel that is what I want from my life. To share life with the one person I love most.

I’m going through a break up. There is ambiguity on if we will end up together (we want it, but she needs time and space for us to enter it at the right time as individuals, which she feels we aren’t at yet. I’m willing to wait, but it feels disrespectful to myself to hold onto something with no guarantee. I want to hold my personal boundaries, but am struck with the “what if she just needs to know I’ll wait. What if me not waiting is what makes her move on. What if me waiting is what she needs to know I’m committed.”)

I’m at the point in grieving a break up where nothing in my life seems to matter or give me joy or purpose

I (30m) have great friends that I love, a great job, fulfilling hobbies and people to do them with

But I highly prioritize romance in my emotional life

And the breakup is completely my fault, I am feeling the full weight of it and there is no way back

The life we built up and wanted so bad feels like a rug has been swept away beneath us

I can’t think straight, I can’t find joy in anything right now, I just hate myself for losing the love of my life

I just want time to speed up so I can see a positive side of life again, it feels hopeless and colorless without her

2013 CR-V (100k miles, $16k, no warranty) or 2015 Forester (72k miles, $13.5k + $3k warranty all repairs covered). Both great maintenance history.

Forester is my dream car (I love driving it) but the CR-V is the obvious reliable choice. Is the Forester a bad idea compared to this CR-V, even with a warranty where all repairs are covered?

Would you buy a Forester with this being the latest maintenance check on file?

https://xoxocar.com/inspection?pid=52&piid=AOL0TaktuEO3yuDPjV%2fOF15rmesMSJ1JTqXyBKg8MSBPW7owCpsHPj%2bF8uIJKtjs

The dealership I’m looking to buy from says the red points have been addressed prior to sale, but there is no proof in the dealership’s maintenance report that these were specifically looked at.

I asked if I could get a ppi and they basically said l”why? It was looked at in Feb, our team looked at it in May and it passed inspection.”

2013 CRV LX or 2015 Forester (well maintained, both 100k miles)

2013 CRV LX is $13500

2015 Forester is $12500

Which would you choose?

Forester is my dream car. Trans fluids and cross bearings to be replaced for $2k, told dealership if they fix those and/or cut my cost I’ll buy the car. CVT trans has me worried because my 2011 Murano trans failed at 67k miles. Otherwise car looks/feels in great shape.

CRV is known to be reliable. It feels much clunkier and bigger than the Forester which I don’t like.

There is also a 2017 CRV with 72k miles for $18k that has caught my eye.

Help choosing between a used SUV crossover? CR-V, Rav4, Forester, CX-5 (Specs in comments)

Any help here is appreciated, looking to prioritize reliability and money spent.

My previous car's transmission (2011 Murano with 62k miles) completely toasted after 5k miles and steady maintenance. So I'm less inclined to favor low mileage in my decision, but could be convinced.

I'm in the PNW and unfortunately romanticize Foresters, so that's my #1. Sunroof, good speakers, carplay and leather seats aren't necessary but if I'm spending $20k on something I may as well consider those things. CRV and Rav4 have the big mile reputation. The Mazda is the biggest wild card to me but has all my "fancy" options.

2011 Nissan Murano - $8k transmission replacement - worth the cost, or put that money towards a new (used) vehicle?

What would you do in this scenario?

  • 67k miles
  • $12k purchased 2024
  • $8k cvt transmission replacement (original failed)
    • Comes with 3 year warranty on just the transmission

Biggest concern is that transmission failing could be an early sign of everything else falling apart. That could render my 3-year trans warranty useless.

I love everything about my Murano except the gas mileage (16-19mpg, oof). Sun roof, speakers, leather interior, heated seats, AWD, car camping.

tldr: My options are looking like:

  1. $20k in the hole for a 2011 Murano with 67k miles and a brand new transmission with 3-year (transmission) warranty
  2. Pay a recommended local mech who does Nissan transmission repairs for dirt cheap in his garage, supply/pay for the transmission myself (where do I even begin to know I'm buying a good condition cvt transmission online, I know nothing)
  3. Buy a used vehicle with similar (ideally better) specs for ~$15k-20k
  4. See how much I can get for my Murano with the Nissan dealership as a trade in, with the current busted transmission

Portland mechanic for Nissan transmission repair? SE?

I have a 2014 Nissan Murano. CVT transmission went out last night.

Have been calling around and most shops are saying I need someone who repairs that specific make/transmission. Would appreciate any suggestions.

2014 Nissan Murano - cvt transmission busted. 67k miles. Repair or sell?

Transmission could be $5-8k.

I have such low mileage. How much more life could I realistically expect to get out of this car?
