Is there a way I can brick it/lock it up from the mobile app???

I'm not sure if I'm in the right place...so please be gentle.

Is there a way to make an android or apple tablet boot into a navigation/infotainment system as soon as power is applied...like a normal HU would?

I don't want to boot into Android or IOS...find the app and then fiddle with it

I just want to start the motorcycle and have the app load.

I'm leaning to needing a dedicated HU or secondary carplay screen which seems daft when a tablet should be able to do it.

I know this has probably been done to death...but I've read so many conflicting recommendations that I'm asking afresh.

I have one of the original silhouette Portraits and for what I use it for (vinyl) it's bloody brilliant.

But getting the tools is getting difficult for me...

So what Chinese/AliExpress type blade holder and blades do I need to fit into my portrait?

This €3 duty is killing me.

I'd order several times a month...a €15ish parcel stuffed with various electrical components, motorcycle bling etc.

Now...I just can't.

My €15 parcel now costs me €25-€30 and it's all this stupid duty.

A 19% duty is fair...this €3 per item is designed to harm AliExpress and for me...it's working.

So what's the fix? Is AliExpress doing anything about it? CAN they do anything about it....😥

I know its a motorcycle screen but lets be real...There is nothing except some weather proofing that distiguishes a car screen to a motorcycle one (if that).

So i have just picked up a A4660 5 inch screen and want to change the AWFUL splash screen to something of my choosing.

Theres no information on the SD card size limit but i went with 64Gb.

Card is formatted to ExFAT

Image is saved as boot_logo.jpg

Screen resolution is 854x480...Image is the same

Image is saved as an RGB 8-bit image

Size is 19Kb

Freshly formatted card has NOTHING on it except the above mentioned JPG in the root directory (no other folders)

I insert the SD card and nothing. Nothing happens and next boot nothing has changed.

Podofo support is as much use as a condom machine in the vatican.

They do state its a Linux system not Android...So has that a different set of rules?

I'm a big guy. 170kg (375lb) 199cm (6ft 5in) but my BMI isn't ridiculous. I have plenty of fat. But I can run, exercise etc.

That aside.

Best sleep I ever had was on a Tempur mattress (when you could only buy a "Tempur mattress" nothing flashy, special or with a wow marketing name.

It fell apart after 5 years...the foam had a fault but Tempur although admiring the fault refused to honour the warranty as I had sweated on the mattress.

So I won't buy another.

But I desperately want a close approximation.

I see Nectar is recommended...but I'm in Europe (Germany specifically) and those are not an option.

Anyone recommend anything close to the feel of a Tempur but not requiring me to lose more weight by selling an arm, leg and Kidney?

I've lived in Germany for 13 years now and bought several cars in that time. I have always gone to my insurance broker and arranged a kurtzeit versicherung...then gone to my KFZ zulassungsstelle...bought a 5 day plate and inspected, bought (or not) and driven home.

I'm looking at a new motorcycle this weekend..new to me.

Online FAQs at my local zulassungsstelle state a 5 day should will only be issued with the following.

Valid TÜV, Brief (logbook) and my ID.

I'm driving 6 hours to look at this bike. I don't have the brief or TÜV...I can't have them. So how the hell am I supposed to get them...buy the bike then return a week later to collect? That's nuts and with the fuel environmentally and financially irresponsible.

But it gets worse!

I cannot walk in to get a 5 day plate...I have to arrange a termin online. The soonest they can get me in...26 days from now.

What the actual frick???!!!!

"Pickle" is my first Mantis. I ordered a Prickly flower Mantis L3 and got a L5 Orchid and I know Orchids are supposed to be more difficult for first timers.

But he's done really well.

He was tiny...but a good eater of large fruit flies. Then I moved him to Green bottles. He ate one every 3 days (his choice).

He molted (first with me) and because he WAS so small I thought to L4...but this was to Pre-adult.

He carried on eating well and climbing about. Very friendly.

10 days later he molted again! Now he has his wings!

But...that was 3 weeks ago. He has ZERO interest in eating. Won't take anything alive or dead. I can force him to drink by spritzing him or holding up a drop of water and pushing it into his face.

But he WILL NOT EAT.

He's getting sluggish and slow.

Only thing I can think of is he is so focused on breeding he's not eating.

Can anyone advise???

I am looking to buy a new (to me) motorcycle. I know roughly what I want (I have a few options).

I found local (35km away) a bike I'm interested in. Price is good...but not ridiculous. I have messaged the seller and NOTHING in a week.

I could see this as the seller not seeing the message...it happens.

But this is the third bike I have messaged in a month to try and view/buy.

Either they are all scams (photos are not stolen, prices are realistic) or something's wrong in the messaging???

It's starting to really p**s me off.

I was a HUGE eBay user. Almost everything I bought came from eBay and sold stuff too. But that's changed in the last 12 months.

I bought some automotive paint 3 weeks ago from a firm about 300km from me.

4 days after my order I received a tracking number...then nothing.

The tracking number still states it's been announced but nothing collected or delivered to drop off.

My last expected delivery day was Thursday 4th June. So 5th June I go to raise it on eBay (itself now well hidden). No..."it may come today so you can't do anything until the 6th".

Today's the 6th..."it may come today so you can't do anything until the 7th" which is Sunday...then what? The 8th? 9th? 10th?

It's CLEARLY not been shipped and I'm pissed at the poor service from seller and eBay. When I sell I get twice daily alerts to ship the item!!!

The straw that broke the camels back was last night. I went to watch something on prime...a rare video file I found in English (I'm English in a non English speaking nation) and I was hit with 3 minutes of adverts before it started.

Blood boiling I persevered...2 minutes into the opening titles...a other 90 second advert break.

That's it.

I'm not paying €9 a month to watch f#cking adverts!

I just bought a cheap C200 as I wanted a little 360 camera...little did I realise that Samsung has basically bricked it!!!

I'm on C200GLU0AQK1 firmware.

My issue is I cannot get "Samsung gear 360" app working. It just appears to open (but does nothing and after a couple of minutes I get a "stopped working" message.

Ive followed two guides, one on XDA and one on Reddit and nothing works.

I'm running a Motorola Android device but it shouldnt be that????

I've been a prime member for some good years now.

I'm English but living in Germany so prime video isn't a perk (As even with the BBC iPlayer add-on 95% of the media is in German dubbed with no English option.

So I use it for the free delivery.

Am I alone in noticing the alarmingly rapid increase in bait and switch on delivery times? I chose my purchases carefully. Trying to avoid 3rd party sellers if possible as they are the worst for used, returned or just bogus items.

"Order within the next 4 hours to receive this item tomorrow"

I order it.

Next day I'm wondering where it is....so I check my order.

"Will be delivered in 5 days". WTF! I ordered the more expensive one as I needed it for tomorrow!

Example, I had a 2005 Saab 9-3 aero and a quick remap saw some noticeable increase in power...

Another: 2007 Mini R53, smaller supercharger pulley, induction intake, remap...didn't get much of an increase.
