Post Grunge and Folk Rock finds

I love the Live CD and have been looking for it forever in the bins. I got to see Neil Young and Crazy Horse when Eddie Vedder bailed at a show and they came in to save the day. That CD is brand new and sealed. All the CDs were $1.50 each at Goodwill. I mostly dig for music and don't really buy curated stuff so finding the Live CD was awesome. Collective Soul and Cat Stevens were also great finds!

Level 42

I found four Level 42 tapes, Stevie Wonder, The Police, Sting and one of the Shell mix tapes plus a weird bonus tape that I'll use for my Noise music project. All these cassettes were 50¢ each!

Atari Games Add on a Record Sleeve

I've been cleaning my vinyl records and stumbled across this old ad for Atari 2600 games on one of the sleeves. I have a couple thousand records and this is the first time I've seen video games advertised on a record. I've included pictures of the flip side of the sleeve and the jacket too.

Tomita records

I love listening to and studying early synth music from the pioneers. Here's some of my Tomita records that I geek out to. I find lots of his records digging but they are always in bad shape. These are the nice ones that I saved.

Escapade on the glockenspiel

I just bought a copy of Rhythm Nation on cassette and tried to play part of Escapade on my new glockenspiel that I don't know how to play. I just played it by ear and am not sure if it's correct but it makes me happy.

VOIDBOXX by Void Assembly [noise box project]

VOIDBOX by Void Assembly ✖️ I had some downtime and a garage full of junk and tools so I made this noise box for my next NOISE album project. I'll put a couple download codes for my last project in the comments 🖤

Vintage Computer Magazines

My old friend Joe gave me a bunch of his vintage computer literature. Here's some of the magazines from the lot.

Suggestions for pleasing cover art

Hello, mental health therapist here. I recently set up a turntable in my therapy office to spin some records while I write my notes. Instrumental music helps me focus. My clients can see my stack of records, and it just occurred to me that Bill Evan’s’ sassy, judgmental stare might not be the most conducive to talk therapy… Wondering what some good suggestions for mellow instrumental vibes would be that also have pleasing/calming artwork…

I’m into jazz, bluegrass, classical piano concertos, low-fi, downtempo stuff, and am open to other genres, as long as it is all instrumental!

I found this all original Trek for $20 with rotted tires and bent handlebars. I replaced the bars with the aluminum straight bars from my tall bike, the fenders and KHS tires were from some free bike I got from an old lady on Craigslist ( that bike was toast but I kept some parts from it), the seat was in my parts bin. I cleaned it and tuned it and it rides like a champ! I can't believe how much I love this bike. A very nice addition to the stable!

I do FIFO (fly in fly out) every second week I'll be working.

But, how do you feel about me playing my tracks, bass treble and mid will all be 0, neutral.

You want more bass, set it yourself.

I will play my collection piece by piece (in FLAC) first one will be infusion post green.

Technics 1200SL2 with tonar banana.

All tracks (a1, a2, b1, etc) will be covered in multiple posts, one track at a time.

Thoughts?

-Polarityinversion- had a good point. Swapping to all tracks on vinyl per post.

So a1, a2, b1, and so on will be one

I can't even count how many shows I've played on this mixer and all of its twins. I remember when this was a staple in every club and rave setup at one point. I've since lost the power supply but I plan on getting one so that I can bring this bad ass MF back to life ✊
