Been trying for 3 days to find the right cable/plug for this Kinect adapter port. What am I missing?

I’ve been trying for about 3 days to find the correct jack/cable that fits this power port on my Kinect adapter, but nothing I bought or tried seems to fit.

I’m not sure if I’m looking for the wrong connector type, the wrong size, or if this adapter uses some special/proprietary plug. The port looks like it has pins/contacts inside, so maybe it is not a normal barrel jack?

Is there a common alternative power supply for Xbox One Kinect v2?

I have an Xbox One Kinect v2 and I already have almost everything needed to use it, but I’m missing the power supply.

I know there is an official Kinect Adapter for Xbox One S / PC, but it seems hard to find and sometimes quite expensive.

Is there any more common or easier-to-find alternative power supply that can be used safely with Kinect v2?
For example, can it be replaced with a generic power adapter, laptop charger, or DIY wiring setup?

  • Character hand skins
  • Inventory system to view and equip skins
  • Skin shop using in-game Xu currency
  • Carton box opening system to unlock skins
  • 7-day daily check-in rewards
  • Daily and weekly missions
  • Level rewards
  • Long-term achievements
  • Quick emotes during matches
  • Troll items to interact with your opponent

I am the developer of the game. I worked on the design, gameplay systems, UI/UX, real-time matchmaking, progression, shop, inventory, missions, achievements, and the new v0.2.0 update.

The project is still in development, so there may still be bugs, balance issues, or UI/UX problems. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! ^^

I made a real-time Rock Paper Scissors web game with skins, missions and troll items

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on a small web game called ONETU, a real-time Rock Paper Scissors game that you can play directly in the browser.

At first, the game was mostly focused on quick matches, private rooms, real-time gameplay, XP, levels, and leaderboards. For the new v0.2.0 update, I tried to make the game feel more fun to return to, not just choosing Rock / Paper / Scissors every round.

New things added in this update:

  • Character hand skins
  • Inventory system to view and equip skins
  • Skin shop using in-game Xu currency
  • Carton box opening system to unlock skins
  • 7-day daily check-in rewards
  • Daily and weekly missions
  • Level rewards
  • Long-term achievements
  • Quick emotes during matches
  • Troll items to mess with your opponent
  • Improved main menu and button layout

I also added throwable items during matches, such as tomatoes, banana peels, slippers, cake, and tissue. They don’t change the match result, but they make the game feel more interactive and funny when playing with friends.

The project is still in development, so there may still be bugs or UI/UX issues. I’d really appreciate any feedback, especially about gameplay feel, balance, UI, or anything that feels confusing.

I built a small real-time Rock Paper Scissors web game

Game Title:
ONETU

Playable Link:
https://onetu.vercel.app/

Platform:
Web Browser

Description:
ONETU is a small real-time Rock Paper Scissors web game that I built as a personal learning project. The core gameplay is simple: two players join a match, get ready, and choose Rock, Paper, or Scissors each round. The game then calculates the result, updates the score in real time, and continues until the match is finished.

I wanted to make it feel more complete than a basic prototype, so I added quick matchmaking, private rooms with shareable room links, player names, country selection, XP, levels, and both country/global leaderboards. The game is designed to be lightweight and easy to access: no download, no account setup, just open the link and play directly in the browser.

My main focus was practicing real-time multiplayer flows such as room creation, player readiness, round state synchronization, score updates, match results, and basic reconnect handling. I’m still improving the project, so feedback on the UI, mobile layout, matchmaking flow, and realtime stability would be very helpful.

My Nintendo Switch V1 with an RP2040-Zero Picofly modchip suddenly stopped booting after not being used for two weeks.

My Nintendo Switch V1 with RP2040-Zero Picofly modchip suddenly stopped booting.
I haven’t used it for around 2 weeks. The last time I used it, I was playing a game and just left the console in sleep mode, then forgot about it because I got busy.

Now it won’t turn on at all. I already left it charging for 1–2 days and I’m pretty sure it is charging normally.

When I press the power button, the modchip LED goes:

  • blue (4-5s) -> red (0-1s) -> off
  • CORRECT AGAIN: It blue-> purple -> off

The screen stays completely black, no backlight and no fan spin.

But when I connect it to my PC, TegraRcmGUI detects it and says “RCM Device detected”.

In USB Device Tree, It detect as "Nintendo Switch APX Mode"

  • Connection Status : DeviceConnected
  • Device Description : Nintendo Switch APX Mode
  • Manufacturer : NVIDIA Corp.
  • Product : APX
  • Driver loaded : libusbK
  • Power State : D0
  • Demanded Current: 32 mA

So now I’m confused if the problem is:

  • the battery
  • the Picofly/modchip
  • eMMC
  • or the motherboard itself

Has anyone had this happen before after leaving the Switch in sleep mode for a long time?

Nintendo Switch V1 stuck on black screen after sitting in sleep mode for a month

So I think I messed up my old Switch V1.

About a month ago I was playing a game and instead of fully powering the console off, I just tapped the power button and left it in sleep mode. Then I completely forgot about it for almost a month.

Now it won’t boot at all. The screen stays completely black no matter what I do.

I plugged it into my PC and it shows up as “NVIDIA APX” in USBTreeView.

What’s weird is the console does seem to take power. I connected it to a decent power bank and it slowly pulls around 3W, so it’s not totally dead. But it never shows the charging icon or boots.

I also tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery (with no charger connected), but nothing changed. Still just a black screen and APX mode on PC.

USBTreeView info:

  • VID 0955 / PID 7321
  • NVIDIA APX detected
  • Self powered: yes
  • Around 32mA demand when idle

At this point I’m starting to think the battery got drained too deeply from sitting in sleep mode for so long, and now the Switch is basically stuck because the battery voltage is too low. Has anyone had this happen before? Is this usually a battery issue, or could something else have failed?

I tried installing YouTube, and while it installed successfully, I got error 160-2217 when I opened it. I searched for information about it but couldn’t find anything 😞

Hey everyone, looking for help with my WD My Passport 2TB that refuses to work no matter what I try.

Drive info:

•	Model: WDC WD20NMVW-11EDZS6

•	Serial: WD-WX21EC60UUAV

•	Interface: USB (SATA internally, 5200 RPM)

•	Firmware: 01.01A01

The problem:

Windows sees the drive as “Not Initialized” with the full 1.82 TB showing as unallocated space. No partition table at all.

All tools agree the drive is physically detected and SMART says PASS, but nothing can write a partition table or format it. It just sits there as unallocated RAW.

Any help appreciated. I just want to use this drive for storage, data recovery isn’t a concern since it’s empty.

Wii U (white 8GB) comes with SD card, external HDD + Y cable. I’m totally new to the Wii U so I don't really know what old OFW it using.

Hey everyone. Just bought a used Wii U (white 8GB) from someone, already homebrewed, comes with SD card, external HDD + Y cable and some other stuff.

I want to wipe and redo the homebrew setup myself from scratch, but I heard there’s a brick risk if done wrong. Also noticed some Japanese text in parts of the console UI and want it all in English, but again I heard changing it can brick the console too, also if after done there will be problem resync due region lock?
