Math help needed

Guys I gave my 2nd attempt at UPSC and I failed due to scoring low in CSAT. \~ 58

I've registered for SSC CGL and have been on two minds regarding that, but today I just feel i need to atleast try as my best, cuz something is better than nothing. I'm feeling v lost and confused as I don't know anything much about this exam. Ik I dont have time but I don't wanna not try.

Coming to the point, math is weak. I had not prepared for csat well during upsc prelims that's also to blame. So please suggest me sources, materials, videos etc to watch just for maths ( reasoning ka hai toh wo bhi bata dijiye ). I want to do my best. Thank you!

No One Wants Cleo

On 6th June, someone left Cleo in a parking lot and drove off. He was so scared he squeezed himself inside a car engine to hide. My friend found him because he was crying.

For three days he wouldn't let anyone touch him. He'd flinch at footsteps. She didn't push him, just sat near him and let him decide when it was safe to come closer.

He decided. And now he's this ridiculous, loving little cat who steals shoulder rides, nibbles ears as affection, and follows her other cats around like he's always belonged with them.

He's been up for adoption for days and nobody's come forward. People keep calling him "mitti ka color" and moving on, like his coat is a flaw instead of the thing that makes him striking. Huge green eyes, oversized ears, a coat you genuinely don't see often, he's a beautiful cat, and just not the "typical" kind people go looking for.

Whoever takes him in is going to get a cat who chose to trust people again after being thrown away by one.

My friend is going out of town soon and needs someone lined up for him before she leaves. He's dewormed, vaccinated, litter trained, and healthy.

🐾 Male, ~2 months | Dewormed & vaccinated | Litter trained | Good with cats | Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, if you're interested, please DM or email me on Sidhantsharma4444@gmail.com. And please share this even if you can't take him yourself.

Cyber bullying and harassment women face online

Hey everyone,

I genuinely don't know where to post this. I am making this post because I am shaken up and hurt by the severe cyber bullying and targeted harassment I experienced yesterday. I am sharing this because this isn't just about me, it is a widespread issue that countless women face daily in digital spaces. The moment a person shares a nuanced opinion a toxic mob takes over and the default response is almost always aggressive, gendered abuse.

Earlier today on a regional forum, I left a comment for context : I pointed out that we shouldn't use body shaming, fat shaming, colorism or any sort of profanity to hit back at a bully.

Instead of a normal disagreement a terrifying mob mentality took over. My inbox was flooded with targeted hate. Total strangers used aggressive profanity, hurled disgusting gendered slurs, flooded my DMs, and even stalked my profile to completely 'unrelated' subreddits just to harass me on my new comments.

The hypocrisy is deeply sickening.

It is completely fine to disagree or debate. But crossing the line into unsolicited DMs, stalking someone's profile, and sending hate dms are uncalled for. I've disagreed with people on reddit but never used these language.

I can't upload the screenshots here but I was called a btch, a slt and every gendered abuse ever. Atleast 50 comments and dms of harassment which I reported to reddit too. My page was not hidden so they kept following me to other subs to abuse me more when I turned off my dms.

I want to raise awareness about the heavy mental toll of this digital harassment. I cried yesterday due to this. My issue is not people disagreeing with a take,it is the vile hate and the bullying women in general face. We need to do better. Stop crossing the line into abuse.

I am uploading screenshots of just some of the notifications and DMs I received today. Please note that most of the actual comments have already been deleted or removed by Reddit, so I am only able to share the ones still visible from my phone's notification log above and even this is just a small sample of what I faced. Most are paragraphs of hate comments which wouldn't be fully visible in the notification bar as it has been removed.

I want to also mention the heavy mental toll of this digital harassment. I cried yesterday due to this. My issue is not people disagreeing with a take,it is the vile hate and the bullying women in general face. We need to do better. Stop crossing the line into abuse. Dissent is okay but the abuses were unacalled for. It was like a bunch of people commenting on unrelated comments, as my account was open, them downvoting me, dming me, commenting etc. vile mob mentality to say the least.

The pics : 2nd pic is calling me a btch and myr ( which is a gendered slur in Malayalam) and more. 3rd pic is when they started following me into other subs unrelated like indiamemes and commenting profanity. They were also downvoting every single comment in other subs and post i was making to oblivion.

Weekly Casual Discussion Thread | 28 June – 4 July

Welcome to this week's casual discussion thread!

This thread is for all the small, casual posts that don't really need a separate post. Feel free to use it for things like:

- Looking for people to hang out with

- Real time hangout posts

- Finding someone for a walk, chai or any other casual activity

- Asking if anyone is free

- Quick local questions

- Random conversations

- Anything else that doesn't warrant its own post

A new Weekly Casual Discussion Thread will be posted every week and pinned to the top of the subreddit in highlights, so it's always easy to find.

To help keep the subreddit organized, standalone low-effort or real-time posts (for example "Anyone free right now?", "Anyone up for a ride?", or "Anyone wants to hang out?") will be removed, and you'll be asked to repost them here instead.

Please be respectful, follow the subreddit rules, and avoid sharing personal information publicly.

Happy chatting! 👋

This momo stall opposite Manas Vasudha ( Sector 5 ) is so good.

I've had momos from here quite a few times now, and they're genuinely really really good! The momos are always very well made and my favourite part is their chutney. It tastes quite different from the usual momo Schezwan chutneys we get. I don't really know how to describe it, but it's tomatoey, tangy, and has a flavour that's quite unique I'd say. 🤌 Guys check them outt!

Has anyone else tried this place? Any other good momo spots in Ulwe you'd recommend?

Location: Aum Residency, Plot 124, opp Manas Vasudha, sec 5, Ulwe.

Any UPSC aspirants in Ulwe?

Just wondering if there are any UPSC aspirants from Ulwe or nearby here.

I am preparing for upsc and I know a friend who is, as well from ulwe. Other than us, we don't know anyone else in the area who's preparing for the exam. I'm sure there would be someone else. Just thought it'd be interesting to know if there are others around.

If you're preparing or if you know someone from Ulwe who is (and they're okay with it), feel free to send me a DM or ask them to reach out if they're comfortable.

Please use protection no matter what, wanted to share an incident about a family friend.

It hurts me so much to put this out here because I'm genuinely still in disbelief how one thing led to another and everything blew up... My mother got a call from one of her friends yesterday. ( This is narrated by my mom from what she heard and understood).

Aunty was crying her eyes out on the other end. My mother panicked and enquired what was going on. She asked my mom to lend her 2 lakh rupees for an emergency. ( Mind you this aunty is a home maker but her husband is very well off, she's fully dependent on him financially). She has a daughter in graduation right now. She told my mom that her 19 year old daughter started bleeding a lot few days back, when taken to the hospital it was revealed that she is 5 months pregnant ( the girl probably got to know late and had taken some meds to 'attempt' to abort the fetus at home, the mother had no clue what was going on she was in shock and utter disbelief).

Aunty urged the doctor to medically terminate the pregnancy but he refused saying that it's illegal to do it past 4 months. The girl and aunty were fully in tears not knowing what to do ahead, that's when someone told them about a clinic that does abortions over 4 months, illegal and would cost 5 lakh rupees. She lied to her husband about this whole fiasco as he travels for work and isn't home atp. Her husband would crash out and blame the daughter, stop her education etc, if he knows ao she's been keeping this a secret. Took her to the illegal clinic / hospital did the abortion by spending 5 lakh which she got by selling off her gold jewellery. It was not done correctly and the bleeding after the abortion was not stopping. The doctor and hospital which did the illegal abortion refused to take any responsibility.

She shifted her daughter to another hospital wherein she's undergoing treatment now, hefty charges and the doctors also gave the possibility of getting the uterus removed apparently if her condition doesn't't improve. She's 19 it breaks my heart.

Aunty is still in denial about the part that her daughter was sexually active and repeatedly claims she was r'ped and that her daughter would never do it. When my mom said she should file a case against the perpetrator, she just refused saying now all she cares is to get her daughters life and not court cases ( ?!) . Many questions still are there but my mother respected her privacy and did not make her more uncomfortable by asking who was the guy, what does your daughter say, didn't she notice she had not gotten her periods for 5 months, etc as we cannot even imagine the trauma the girl is going through. You can say she was an adult and should've been careful, but at the end of the day she was 19, yes she should've known better but I have this sinking feeling even while typing this. The amount of pain, trauma and scar this one incident would have on her life is unimaginable.

So to culminate it, what I'm saying is, if you're sexually active please use protection, if in case you're missing your date please take a pregnancy test and get an abortion early if you're pregnant. Avoid situations like this for you and your loved ones. I'm shaking as I type this as I'm shocked and cannot fathom wtf happened w someone I knew.

Edit:

As someone in the comments rightfully pointed out it's not 4 months it's till 5 months ( or exactly 20 weeks ) for the fetus to be medically terminated, any time after that 20 weeks + ( in this girl's case ) would need a court order, report by multiple doctors and can ONLY AND ONLY be done if it poses serious threat to life of the mother OR if there are serious deformities or health issues in the baby.

About the 5 months delay, honestly the only person to give an answer to this is her. She's in a terrible condition and we are not asking her the details as of now. Same goes for the questions of whether or what if it was an assault. We don't know, we will ask her once she starts recovering and will take legal action if it was.
