Anyone else planning to go as Marla for Halloween?

I found out about the movie just after my 15th, watched it like 5 times in a week lol. Thank you, autism. Obsessed, duh. Did her makeup for that Halloween but didn't have plans. Last year, I took my little brother out so couldn't do her costume really. This year, I want to. I've got a slip dress and coat I think are her vibe. Idk if I'll get invited to anything but yuh. I'll get drunk either way and serve cunt. 💋

I scare myself so badly for no reason. TW: HEALTH ANXIETY, DISCUSSION OF MEDICAL CONDITIONS OR ISSUES AND BLOOD (PERIOD).

I started a birth control withdrawal bleed about 5 days ago. Today it got really heavy at one point and rather than react like a normal human, I immediately attributed feeling hot earlier (it's been hot today) and my fast pulse earlier (I've been stress) to some kind of connected issue. Googled it like an idiot. Convinced myself once more it may be tss. Took my blood pressure pulse and temperature. All normal. I'm just an idiot with a headache and a kind a heavy period. I hate that whenever I get an idea I build on it horribly. One time I was convinced my throat was closing up with absolutely 0 proof just by looking in my mouth and feeling dyhdrated.

Long ramble coming sorry...

Okay Soooo... I'm auditioning for lady macbeth next week. A friend is auditioning for macbeth. From a technical point of view, he's the best choice for it. He thinks the same of me and I think I would be good for the part, honestly. We also work super well together. I'm going to be 17 by the show and he will be 19. I heard via another youth theatre member that our director wants another person to play lady m because she'll be 18 and they can kiss. My friend doesn't want to kiss her anyway and that's not a valid reason to cast, in our eyes, and it can be faked easily if we really need... But even adult production of macbeth another friend worked on did no kiss. For arguments sake, however, since 16 is legal here, would we be allowed to kiss for the show with the correct papers signed or whatever?

Finally a good thing!

I've posted here before about GPs bring completely unwilling to give anxiety help for injections over text. Heard some horrid anecdotes. Had people on here be rude it not understand. Yesterday, I called with the nurse who'd be doing them. She's absolutely lovely, so helpful and understanding. We're going to have a planning appointment then if I go through, she's going to get diazepam prescribed for the day I need the injections. I'm so grateful for medical professionals who actually care.

Is this viable?

I never took gcse due to my mental health. Today, I went to my college enrolment. Out of the blue, they offered to give me gcse diagnostic paper (so I'd do gcse resit class not functional skills) and I did really well! I already hold 2 Rqf Level 3 qualifications in singing and acting. I'm technically enrolled in the Level 2 Perfoming Arts course at the college but I know there's an induction period to move up or down. With the proof of competence or whatever, if I do well and attend and work had in my first 6 weeks, do you think they'd put me in Level 3? The acting teacher told me he'd put the possibility of moving up during induction in my notes on admissions night but didn't mention it today. Anyway, thanks.

Starting out on Patreon, faceless creator, not 18+.

Hi! I've got a few social media accounts, some of which I have my face on. I just made a Patreon and an intro post. I don't want to share my face there yet incase there's some weirdos and I'm not yet familiar with the site. I'm thinking sorta blog content, wieiad, outfits, etc. Does anyone have tips on what might get fans whilst not being nsfw or showing my face? I'm using a fake name so I'm happy to use a fake personality lol. I don't have any pay content yet duh and won't until I get a bit popular. Once I want to set that up, what sort of non nsfw things could I post there? I just need general tips on posts and navigating the site and staying safe enough etc. Ty!

Help a beginner.

Tried the St Moriz gradual lotion. I used an exfoliating mitt in the shower, put on body lotion then applied with a mitt. It looked good on my legs, I'm leaving it on. But I tried on my arms and it just went sooo patchy immediately. It wouldn't blend in properly and I had to wash it off. What have I done wrong? Could it be that my mitt was dirty or something? Or should I try apply more or less or something. I've had a shimmer tan lotion before but that barely showed and I applied with my hands so idk what I'm doing. I wanna look tanner by September. Would a mousse or something be any better?

I want to understand my GP's logic.

Necessary: I don't smoke, rarely drink, take methylphenidate hydrochloride as prescribed and levest 150/30 also prescribed. Never done any drugs, never had strong pain killers so no addictions. I'm located in the UK West mids. 53ish kg, 158cm. Biologically female and 16 years old.

TW for reader: needles

When I was in years 8 and 9 in school, I skipped vaccines because of immense fear. Now that I'm a little older, I'm trying to be sensible and get them. I'm terrified of needles, however. Getting a tooth out was the worst experience for me and now I need 3 intramuscular injections. Not even 1. Not even in the vein. I know there's medical reasons but it's terrifying. I'm not bad with pain, honestly. But I'm bad with overthinking and I can't be one of those who just looks away and gets it over with. When I had my tooth out, I had them explain literally all the steps. Anyway, since numbing cream won't solve the fact I literally sob just trying to talk about my fear, I looked for solutions. And people and websites have said you can get one dose of short term anxiety medicine if you have a severe phobia that's caused you to avoid care before. Which it has. So I put in a request with my gp and they said they cannot give the anxiety meds. I genuinely don't think I can do this without them but I really want to protect myself and others. I feel I have valid reasoning. Why can't they give me them? Or what can I say that might let them? It's too short term for any kind of therapies plus I'm adverse to the idea of cbt. If it helps, I'm with camhs for adhd.

I don't know how to deal with this situation.

So... I am shitscared of needles. Freaked out horrifically about my tooth being removed and put it off til my tooth literally split. I still need 3 vaccinations that I've been avoiding for years. I messaged my gp today, saying which I needed and can they offer any form of medicine. They said no, only numbing cream. I genuinely don't know if I can go through with this without something to help my mind. I'm okay at pain, not at needles. I've seen people in the UK say they did get anxiety meds for vaccines and stuff, how to I make them understand or why can't I get them? I'm healthy enough that I can take meds and stuff and I've never had pain ends like that before so no addictions.

Have to get 3 IM jabs..

TW MEDICAL STUFF AND NEEDLES

Sooo I'm shit scared of needles. I haven't had a vaccine since I was a kid and I missed my three teen ones so I need to get them before college. My last injection was at the dentist. I cried for nights before it and I was super tense and anxious the whole time. I've seen doctors and nurses on reddit criticise anyone who isn't a kid and freaks out about needles and I feel shit about it. I actually have a decent pain tolerance too. And I may be able to handle it going into my vein, but this is my muscles and that's so scary and stressful. I may have freeze spray but that's only going to help pain and this is anxiety based. Plus, looking away is something people reccomend but makes it worse for me personally. Does anyone know what I can ask them for or what has helped you in the past?

Need to get my vaccinations.

(obviously tw for talking about needles and medical procedures)

I got all my toddler, baby, etc vaccines but i never got my Year 8 and 9 ones. The last time I was injected was at the dentists and I had panic attacks and cried for nights before hand and I was incredibly tense and anxious throughout even though they numbed it twice. I now need the 3 jabs I missed and ofc they go in the muscle. And that's so scary to me. Like I might handle a vein, but you want to shove a needle into my arm muscle? Three times? I'm genuinely shit scared. I'm not scared it'll hurt, I've got a decent pain tolerance. And I'm not somebody who can look away and it'll be okay (at the dentist I asked them to talk through every step as it happened). Does anyone have tips/help? Or what to say to the nurse? I think we have some freeze spray but, again, it's not the pain.

Protest in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, UK. 11am. 4th July.

If anyone is in the area or wants to raise awareness, there's a counter protest against a group called (I believe) 'Raise the Flags Shrewsbury PLUS' promoted by the groups 'Lower the Flags Shrewsbury' and 'Stand Up To Rascism Shropshire and Telford'. There's information on their Facebook.

Can't cope with weird noises at night.

Tw: slight mention of depression and depression rooms, bug mention, slight mention of physical harm

So my room is a mess due to past depression. I'm kind of in the middle of cleaning but motivation is hard to find. Anyway, this state has me super worried there's gonna be like an aerosol blow up or some horrific bug discovery even though I'm fine so far. I live in an old semi detached house. It's perfectly normal for there to be little noises and stuff at night, not caused by something horrid like that. I'm just freaking out so bad rn because there's been this sort of tick/click noise in a wall for like an hour. I've checked if it's a bed or set of drawers or something somehow. No. Every few seconds. Slightly different places in the same wall as far as I can tell. Despite everything saying it and my own knowledge, I can't stop convincing myself it's something bad about to happen.

Does anyone else get anxiety with little noises, especially related to bad current/past environments? How the hell do I cope? Do I just try to sleep?

Hiya... Looking for dance bra advice.

Hey, I'm going to start college doing performing art in September but have a welcome day sooner. I think sports bras make a lot of sense for this and are comfy. I've heard they should be black to go with theatre black clothes and would prefer they sort of blend under a bodysuit or something similar - not too bulky or made of really crinkly fabric. I'm in the UK if that helps with brands. If possible, cheap would be amazing, as I need multiple and don't want my mum spending loads on them. I'm roughly a 30DD so it can be hard finding good bras made for my sizing. Does anyone have personal reccomendations or good reviews they've heard? Thanks!

There's a million blocks in my way rn

So, I'm trying to getting into acting as a profession. I already have qualifications in it (two RQF 3s) but because I'm not fucking 18 yet, I legally have to take another stupid level 3 or under in college. I say or under because when I was 13 I was burnout and left school so I never took gcses. My level 3 is riding on me doing well on an initial exam that nowhere on the Internet has information about so I could end up doing a level 2, if level 3 wasn't low enough. Like, you're telling me that I was doing A-level well when I was 15 but I can't do better until 18. Like fuckkk that. And if that wasn't bad enough, I was recently accepted into a project that could have helped get me noticed and build me a portfolio. But my mother said I can't do it because it's too impractical to drive that far on those days at that time. It just feels like everythingggg is against me rn. I know I have talent but it's always good not great and if I'm finally great I have an impossible obstacle again. Yeah. Rant over.

HELP ME! SHOW IS TOMORROW!

Hiya, I have a show tomorrow. It was sprung on me today that they want me to improvise a scene. I've barely done improv before (and I'm worried I'll say something inappropriate by accident at a kids show. 🤣) I don't want to prepare something but do any repeat improvisors have tips? Would creating a basic plan with like points to go off work?
