1. Nepal recently flooded so study Climate change, sustainable development goals and all the COP Summits. EL Nino is important.

2. India Semiconductor mission, Pax Silica / Forge / MSP . Tata-TSMC is building a Fab in dholera. Also learn some static semiconductor history in India and gk.Critical minerals and rare earth elements.

3. Great Nicobar project , National Green Tribunal, history of tribunals in India, some gk related to Niti Aayog and predecessors ( planning commission). Also learn stuff related to Malacca strait and Indonesia and great nicobar island.

4. CENSUS 2027, and all the related gk.

5. Atomic energy, India achieved criticality, history of atomic energy and atom bombs in India. Kalpakkam reactor and SHANTI Act. There is news going about Indian nuclear energy so keep an eye on that.

6. 131st Delimitation bill and women's reservation. The rejected bill of 2026 and reservation act of 2023.

7. 77th Republic Day, and history related to creation of Vande Matram and freedom struggle, authors and stuff.

8. India's connection with Iran, Venezuela, Indonesia, and Australia . Aus returned some 3 antiques to tamilnadu so learn related history and gk to that. Learn about all the important straits.

9. Gaganyaan, Isro, and related gk to India in space. Shubhanshu shukla got the ashok chakra and he will be going to gaganyaan’s 3rd mission . Study all 3 gaganyaan missions, vyommitra, and stuff. Also study about Artemis 2, and VIKRAM 1.

10. Organizations, learn everything about these: SCO, Brics, QUAD, G20, G7, SAARC, ASEAN, BIMSTEC, UNITED NATIONS.

11. European Union and FTA, mother of all deals. Study about all of India’s FTAs and CEPA/CETAs in 2026. Study modi’s 5 visits to nations and their capitals pms etc.

12. Passport is not proof of citizenship, expect an LR passage from here

13. Ravi river water towards pakistan was recently stopped by India so study about India Pak war, Indus water treaty, Eastern and Western. Rivers and tributaries. Mahanadi water dispute and acts governing water dispute between states.

For 12 -14 hours I didn't leave my couch , spent the whole of night and day

This post is not board or school specific, but to anyone who is a student or considers himself one. I am posting it here because this subreddit has the most students.

I request everyone to spend the next 5 minutes reading this post, it doesn't matter if you are in 6th , 12th, or a pass out.

To every student, the cheatcode to a great academic life is your APTITUDE.

Aptitude = Your confident ability to do something.

Across all paths of academic life, the 2 most important aptitudes are : ANALYTICAL and VERBAL aptitude.

If you make a tree of all subjects, you will see the most common ability requirement in all subjects is your ability to read and infer information (Verbal aptitude), and solve problems ( Analytical Aptitude).

Verbal and Analytical Aptitude are huge subjects in themselves, but I am not asking you to go super deep in them, just brush the basics and you will cherish a great academic life upto your undergrad.

You don't even need to spend anything, what I suggest is download the free pdf of these two books from internet:

1. Word Power Made Easy :

This book teaches about Etymology. When you understand Etymology, you can understand meanings of words which you haven't even seen before. As you read paragraphs and stories and come across a new word, you can infer its meaning from Etymology easily and move forward in your reading. Etymology is a study of origin and creation of words.

For example, take the words: Liberal, Library, Liberty, Libertine. All these words have the Latin root word "Liber" , which means "Free ". Liberal , a free thinker. Library, free books. Liberty, freedom. Libertine, free of moral values. This is just the tip of Etymology iceberg, as you master more techniques, you will be able to read dense information and write better essays easily.

2. Arthur Benjamin Secrets of Mental Maths:

This is a classic, and a beginner friendly mental math book. You don't need to study any mental math systems ( Trachtenberg / Vedic / Anzan ), because this book borrows the best techniques from each system, and has a small syllabus which a 13 year old can understand.

Imagine you are solving a large maths equation, and come across a situation where you need to multiply or divide weird numbers such as 6739 x 638, but since you have studied mental maths you can solve it in your head in 10 seconds. Amazing right?

When you have acquired the ability to play with numbers in your head, you can spend more time in equations and logical steps in mathematics instead of wasting time in labor work such as multiplying adding subtracting etc.

The best part -

The best part is these two aptitudes carry themselves in competitive exams as well, such as jee/neet/Ipmat/Clat/and pretty much all goverment exams.

If you build a base of these two aptitudes in your school time, you wont have much problem in your competitive exam and UG days.

I wish someone had taught me about these and I wouldn't have to grind my soul in boards and CLAT

Ego problem precedes Empathy problem

Many people say that India has an "Empathy problem" which leads to many societal bads such as corruption, crime, bad civic sense, etc.

But I believe the bigger problem is Ego problem. Ego is the precursor of declining empathy, let me explain.

Ego does many things:

For any change to happen, there has to be change in the mind. But the one thing that keeps the mind locked out of malleability is the chains of ego wrapped around it. It shoots away the beams of conflicting ideas, new information, or anything that challenges your existing beliefs. Such as people who are deadlocked in ideas such as:

1. Pseudoscience

2. Astrology

3. Homeopathy

4. Religion

5. Conspiracy Theories

6. Joingoism / Hyper Nationalism0

You cant reason with these people with facts on the table, but an ability to destroy ego first for any information to flow freely.

Ego further expands to the belief that what you do is always right, what you are , is always right.

Which leads to men in power, power tripping or over reaching. Such as : Corruption in public servantship and politics. For common folks, not following established rules such as law and civic sense.

Empathy is not a simple emotion which you can sometimes forget to display. Empathy is always within you.

It's just that the existence of ego alongside empathy has it's effect on empathy, making you weigh your empathy output differently for different people.

Which leads to other societal problems such :

1. Littering and bad civic sense in shared spaces, but keeping clean and healthy the spaces that MATTER TO YOU.

2. Caste, and color discrimination

3. Economic segregation of respect

Hence why I believe, our supreme objective should be destroying ego from the society.

Many old scriptures, scrolls, religious and philosophical texts have emphasized massively on the Ego problem, aka अहंकार and घमंड, but our dogla samaj somehow managed to skip the whole Idea together because to be able to Accept the ego problem, you have to be Ego-less in the first place.

While CLAT is an otherwise easy exam, and doesn't go beyond what you had learnt in school.

The CLAT competition is quite artificial in nature, because the coaching centres are providing highly targeted and specific study resources, and subjecting kids to specialized timer training, which turns them into a paper solving machine.

While I advocate for specialized resources, this kind of turns the competition, not intellectual, but a rich vs poor tournament.

Upto July, I was prepping by myself only, but then I purchased an expensive online batch. And hot damn, the mocks and sectionals on portal are way too specialized, and the modules are also plenty.

This exposure to resources and guidance , can bring forward the ranks of otherwise mediocre students.

And people who believe in YouTube resources, most of the material there is simply Poor quality.

So yeah, the top ranks , upto 200-400 are basically 11th preppers, 14 hour grinders, and coaching kids.

How to ace Clat as a self preppers?

1. Buy ONLY the modules from coachings, not courses.

2. Read any piece of text everyday, atleast a 800-1000 words, and identify main idea, conclusion, tone , title. And make a summary as well.

3.Push GK compendiums in notebook lm and study from there.

Syllabus wise, there is not much in English except Tones and Literary devices, legal knowledge is not required but make yourself familiar with terms such as contract indemnity etc, Analytical and Critical Reasoning HAVE THEORY. SO STUDY THEM PROPERLY. Maths is basically memorizing percentage chart and learning maths tricks. Make yourself familiar with tabular, venn, and tree diagram approaches.

1. Unlike a Political party, a pressure group can never be called opposition, or accused of it.

2. You won't be held accountable for development because you are not in charge

3. Since you are not a politician, you are flexible enough to change places, strategies, stances, or quit any random day.

4. A small party's members are usually geographic in nature. A pressure group's following could be from anywhere. If your group has online presence, you can reach some random location and still find volunteers.

5. People who are non-political, NOTA preferring, will now have competitive alternative options for whom they vocally support

When NGOs came into being, it was revolutionary. But now there has been lots of acts and regulations set in place and NGOs are bureaucratized.

Pressure Groups are a new wave of revolution and people's representation

Flexibility is it's greatest advantage.
