Just listened to the new Static Dress album, where is the low end in the mix?

I love the album in terms of writing, but the mix is.... leaving a lot to be desired

Classic death pose is meant to be the ass beater, but the track literally has 0 low end until you get to the end of the track. There are tracks that sound amazing like Adult Diamond, Pharmacy Film, but then tracks like Questioning or human props would imo be so much more likeable if the guitars just had actual definition and felt isolated in the mix a bit more. Like I can have a riff that sounds interesting in terms of writing, but the actual sound of it isnt this nice riff held up by the bass guitar under it, it just is this fuzz on top of another fuzz. The album is basically mixed like shoegaze where everything kind of just mashes together, but it absolutely doesnt fit some of the tracks

I can see why they made it, but I think doing a bad mix on purpose just to get the nostalgia is stupid, especially when a lot of the great records from back then are held down by the mix a lot of the time. This mix isnt raw, its basically just a lot of filters on every instrument. Its not muddy, but it doesnt have that dynamic to it. Funnily enough the softer tracks like Adult Diamond with that riff in the middle have much better tone than half of the songs that are meant to be heavier

I had this problem with their last album as well, but the sound kind of reflected it, tho there also were songs like fleahouse where i would just welcome in some low end and overall bigger definition to what is what in the mix

Personally not a fan of the pre Dark Pool stuff except few exceptions, was shocked by how much I took from Heroine

I get fed almost every game, but I cannot turn it into a win. Any tips for mid and late game for carry champs?

B3 currently, peak was Silver 4 last season

Found my champ pool this season after 2 years of playing. Currently maining Akali, if banned I go for Ahri/Diana as backup

So, I get fed decently during early, mostly getting 2-3 kills of enemy laner, and then other kills out of roaming bot and on objectives which most games gets me a decent advantage and I would say that every game I either am the strongest on the team, or 2nd in terms of CS/Kills

But then around when the mid game is ending and late game starts I just fall apart. I start doing mistakes because the enemy team scales up and I cannot just make everyone explode, so I start dying and finish games where I went 7/1 out of lane phase, as for instance 15/6 which is too many deaths, especially when they all are almost always shutdowns for the enemy team

I think the most for me demotivating thing is when even a Plat player can say that he can essentially troll his way into that rank, while I sweat and use my braincells just to even win a bronze game. On the other hand, it makes me feel like I just misunderstand a very core aspect of the game and get into the mid/late game with the wrong approach

I dont think I have bad game sense, but I think I play too passively and have this overly team reliant approach to the game where I feel like I cant just carry it myself and need to get my team up before we can actually do that kind of stuff. I play champs that can carry, but a lot of times I just ping off my team off of a good play just because there is the possibility we might flip, even though the reality would be that I would likely just oneshot half of the enemy team in that stage of the game

My biggest weakness are games where I am the only player ahead from our team, and the enemy team is even/ahead of my other lanes. I just feel like I cannot leave my team alone because then they just lose the game while I push a side lane, but then in return after most of those plays it feels like I should have just split pushed, because if I am the only one ahead then it goes from a 4v4 to a 2v4 if I convert my team power vs theirs

When drake is spawning, but top is getting pushed heavily, do I go top and defend when no one else is there, or go drake and help the team? Its these kinds of situations where I kind of flip, and I dont know how to actually improve them

Is backside or frontside 360 easier off a kicker?

So I want to start progressing more, because I kinda got stuck with fear last year trying a tantrum and knee kicking my eyebrow wide open

I thought about a 360 from the kicker, but I wonder which is easier, the backside or frontside

On the slider and water I just go backside, because when I was learning I was very uncomfy with being in switch and rotating into switch and then into the back from it felt weird to me (I ride goofy). But as I tried frontside just like at home on the ground trying the movement it seems like it is easier to pass the handle and in the sky it might not have the problems I have with turning into back from switch for me

Do you think I should just try pushing with the backside 360 or slowly try the frontside on water and then slider and try that for the kicker?

How is Moondrop Dawn Pro 2 for Sennheiser HD 480 Pro, and what does balanced output do and is it worth it?

So I want a DAC/Amp for my new HD 480 Pros, and originally wanted the FiiO KA11, but its not in stock anywhere so I decided to look up alternatives and landed on the Moondrop Dawn Pro 2 that seems to be overall better + it has its own USB C to A reduction which is a plus for me and also has the USB C cable standalone

I did find that it has 2 ports, so it also has 4.4 mm next to the 3.5 one, and I looked up that the 4.4 is this balanced cable

Is this in any way noticeable in terms of sound quality or is it a pure loudness etc... stuff that I wouldnt really care about if the 3.5 has good enough volume? Or does the Moondrop in itself do anything beneficial when the balanced output is connected over the 3.5 mm?

I just wonder if it does something with the dynamics something like that or just has a very niche use case that is not needed for me overall

Does DT 700 Pro X have the same Unit Variation problems as the 770s? And overall how is the sound compared to the 770?

Hey, I currently own the DT 770 32 Ohm for around half a year, and I would say its my all around best headphone, but I got very unlucky with the unit variation. All around I have a very messy unit that just is kinda meh as much as it's still good. Overall kinda sad I didnt go for the 80 ohm or Pro X from the start

I was eyeing either the DT 770 Pro X or the DT 700 Pro X with me currently leaning more towards the 700. I am concerned about the unit variation tho, and if it's fixed in the Pro X lines

And overall, which one would you say brings more clarity? 770 or 700? I guess for me great "clarity" would be simply having good instrument separation and being able to clearly spot subtle synth lines and ambience in a way where i know it stands out here and here in the mix and not getting buried in the middle of the other high frequency sounds or mids

15M, looking for someone to chat with and potentially end up long term friends?

Hey, I am 15 and I love videogames, movies, reading, music and am learning to draw drawing, overall very interested in artsy stuff

I would prefer people who have somewhat similar interests, but I am open to anyone who wants to share theirs

I enjoy mostly metal/rock music, shoegaze, edm and ambient stuff, but I am open for almost any genre

Also open to people who both would like to hear me vent out or vent out to me. Time zones are not a problem, I have insomnia so I can likely find some time for literally anyone. Not blocking me after 1 day is all I need for happiness

Dont care for gender, but I would prefer similar aged people

Would Fioo KA11 be a good pair up with DT 770 Pro 32 Ohm?

I need a DAC for my phone so I can listen at night in bed/not on PC and potentially also better PC sound quality, so I don't plug just to the motherboard

I love the 770 Pros, and I heard the DAC is slightly warmer, which I would welcome, but I am not sure what to exactly expect of the sound change. More airy? Bassy? Cleaner sounding?

Also, can anyone recommend a USB A to C for my PC? I own one but it's not really great, the USB A and C port is very wonky and it's just really not feeling like it holds well Budget is around 50 bucks for the DAC, so If anyone has a better recommendation then it's welcome

I saw this on the recent DMS video so it caught my eye

CYB Repented is potentially part of the lore and Dehumanized is gonna be the bridge between CYB Repented and new Post Human record?

Every sign points into Dehumanized being part of the lore and it being the last CYB track

Now we know Oli especially is a big boy about the lore and artistic stuff around it. So it's very fair to assume that he wouldn't leave a random " Post Human" song on the end of CYB.

Another reason why I think CYB is gonna include Post Human intermissions is 3 tracks on the album

Slow Dance, Medusa and Off The Heezay are 3 tracks that are "round it up"... 30 seconds LONGER from their originals

Now, ofcourse there are other songs which have 1-5 seconds longer/shorter whatever, but those are mostly gonna be just tempo changes etc that simply make a riff a second longer or whatever.

30 seconds is absolutely not gonna be added up from better tempo, rhythm etc.. on the album.

Oli did say in the Nik Nocturnal podcast that the remakes are very much as faithful as possible, so we arent seeing any "new parts" of the songs here where a breakdown gets longer or anyhing

We are likely to hear M8 or something like that throughout these 3 song endings. Maybe we get glitches similar to Dig It where M8 starts tweaking out at the end and gives an intermission into the next song or anything of that style that connects it to the post human world

Off the Heezay the original last track does have the longer run time, so I assume what will happen is that it will lead to some Post Human related "malfunction" like said M8 or anything else which will then "accidentally" boot up Dehumanized, a wrong file that doesnt fit exactly that will then start the new Post Human or the Directors Cut of Nex Gen era

Like to put it into perspective. CYB Repented is M8 going through audio files of the said album, throughout it glitches a bit having problems with playing it or something, Dehumanized plays being a different file M8 finds in the databse after end of Off The Heezay ?intermission?. Basically we get Dig It ending kind of scenarios throughout the album if you can understand?

Now that is just my theory on what I feel like would fit with what Post Human Nex Gen did in terms of making the album feel like something that exists in the world of Post Human in itself, it could connect in very different ways than this

I assume most of us expected CYB or atleast Dehumanized to connect to the lore, this is just what I expect to happen

Did Chasing Rainbows sound so weird even when it was up on streaming?

So I have a FLAC file of that song, and as much as I love it it still sounds just...weird?

Like it genuinely sounds like its simply not as polished as Deathbeds and Join The Club even if it is a high quality rip from the CD. I am not sure if the problem is the file or if the song was just always...odd sounding

I'm just so tired and hate feeling so different from everyone all the time, could anyone talk with me?

I'm 15 M and I feel like this year my mental just shattered

I had nights where I didn't sleep once in a while before, now it's full blown insomnia where I am happy if I get 4 hours of sleep

I don't have the energy to go out of bed. I don't even have the energy to go eat when I feel hungry. I barely shower or brush my teeth at this point, not because I don't want to, but because it feels like my mind doesn't let me do it

Hell I can't even say I have friends. I know I do, but I feel like everyone just has them closer, to me they are just people that know me.

I have so many thoughts all at once but none of them are worth anything. I am stupid as fuck, like I genuinely cannot see a way that I become succesful in the future, because logic doesnt exist in my head, a toddler has likely better motorics than me, I just dont bring anything to the world, and I barely know anything. It's not like I have bad grades.. I excel at school but I dont know anything, it feels like one big bag of great RnG. I have dreams of what I want to do, but then I see other people and it demotivates me like I cant do it.

My whole personality is just being weird and having "hobbies" that I can barely bring myself to engage with. All of my interests are stuff that I can barely access in their full potential. Literally all I need in life is a somewhat decent PC to work with but I can't even comunicate to my parents what I want

Like I am so anxious that I can't properly talk with my parents and I dont even want to know how they feel about me, because I feel like a failure to myself. My mom is supporting and loving but I dont give any of that love back. All my dad wants is a son that isnt stupid, but I just end up making him mad and dissapointed because I can't do simple stuff that literally everyone can do. I feel like I don't show any emotion to others. To them I must look like some cynical thing that doesnt care about anything and anyone, that is also lazy, but I don't have the power and bravery to actually talk to anyone about how I truly feel. Like I would love to help everyone i know, but all i can think about is what everyone thinks of me, did i fuck up, did i misunderstand anyone?

I just feel like I am wired differently, but I probably look like a narcisstic bitch that cares only about himself to others

Anyone preferably around my age whatever gender open to chat about anything? I just feel very lonely even if I am not alone at all in my life
