Hey,

r/AMK had been abandoned for over 5 years, until I requested moderator rights from Reddit and got them.

I've noticed that there doesn't really seem to be any proper study group for students on Reddit. Instead, in subreddits like r/arkisuomi and r/suomi there's just an "Opiskelu" (Studies) tag, and you end up having to post your study/school-related questions mixed in with all the other unrelated content.

But now, finally, all university of applied sciences (AMK) students have their own dedicated subreddit, made specifically for this community! You no longer have to post your study-related questions in subreddits full of mixed content.

I know that there a lot of foreigners who study in Finland and especially in AMK / University of applied sciences, so I think a subreddit dedicated to that group is very important. : )

Pelastin yli 5 vuotta hylänneenä olleen r/AMK subredditin ja ajattelin, että siitä sais tehtyä hyvän ryhmän, jossa kaikki AMK opiskelijat tai AMK:sta kiinnostuneet vois jutella opinnoista ja jakaa omia kokemuksia, kun tollasta varsinaista opiskeluryhmää ei taida redditissä vielä olla? : )

En tiedä onko tän asian ”mainostaminen” sääntöjen vastaista, en ainakaan nähny sääntöä joka kieltää toisen subredditin mainostamisen. Jos on kiellettyä, niin poistakaa vaan tää postaus. Ajattelin, et tänne vois tälläsen ns. järkevän ”mainoksen” postata opiskelijoille, kun kuitenkin on vaan toinen subredditti ja ei oo mikään tuote mitä mainostettaisiin tai mistä mitään rahaa saisi. : )

Man, my old online friend group broke up in 2019, we were a great trio, played every game together, experienced peak Minecraft and everything. Since then, I have had no like online friends no groups, nothing.

It has been pretty lonely ngl, I yearn for the old feeling of being a kid and playing with my friends till morning, laughing at night and getting yelled at by my parents, but it is all just a memory now.

I am only 21 and it feels like gaming has no real spark anymore, I have no one to really play my games with, I have like 250 games on Steam and it feels so boring to play all that shi alone and always on singleplayer.

I have a few friends from middle school that still play, but they have been playing the same games for like 7 years in a row, and if I try to recommend some guy or be like "could we buy this game?" they never do, not even if the game is 10$ or anything, it feels so sad that they do not want to get any new game, even if it is not expensive or anything like that.

Where do you guys find people / new real friends to play with, just meet them randomly during some multiplayer game and decide to add them and get to know them? D :
