I wanted to check if employees of Public Sector Banks (PSBs) are allowed to book their bank’s guest houses for personal trips.
For example, if a PSB employee is going to Puri to visit the Jagannath Temple with their family, can they book the bank’s guest house there for their stay?
Would appreciate inputs from anyone who knows the rules or has done this before.
Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to confirm — is PNB (Punjab National Bank) open today (26/06/2026) in Kolkata?
Today is Muharram, so I’m not sure if it’s a holiday for banks. Can anyone confirm whether PNB branches are functioning normally today in Kolkata ?
Also, is there any reliable holiday calendar for banks that the general public can check?
Would really appreciate any updates. Thanks!
Hello PSB Bankers ,
is this FRIDAY (26/06/2026) PSB BANK HOLIDAY ? Or this is a working day in PSB ?
My sister opened a PNB (Punjab National Bank) account back in 2009 near her high school in another city. After finishing high school, she moved to a different city for higher studies and hasn't touched the account since. There have been no transactions since 2009, so the account is now dormant/inactive.
The problem is the home branch is in a faraway city, and she can't realistically travel all the way back just to reactivate it.
My questions:
Any advice or shared experiences would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!
I have a question that's been on my mind, and I'd love to hear from those who've actually been through it.
We all know transfers are part of the banking life — but how do you manage your children's education when you're moved to a new branch/city,
When you relocate while your kid is in the middle of an academic year, are schools in the new location obligated to grant admission?
Is there any policy, quota, or provision (like a transfer certificate process or reserved seats for transferable employees) that makes this easier?
Can you please clarify more on this.
I'd love to hear about your personal experiences with this.
When I don't have a referral or recommendation from someone I trust, I usually just search online, pull up a few doctor names, and pick one at random. Honestly, this approach hasn't worked well for me.
Here are a couple of things I keep getting stuck on:
Qualifications vs. experience — Should I prioritize a doctor's qualifications, or does hands-on experience matter more?
Years of experience — And if experience is what counts, what's the sweet spot? Should I look for someone with 0–20 years, 20–40 years, or 40+ years in practice?
The biggest challenge is that online reviews feel completely useless — most seem paid or fake.
So how do you find a good doctor when you don't have references to rely on?
Has anyone done eKYC through the Indane app?
My Aadhaar address is my permanent address, but my connection and delivery address is my current rented place.
I’m wondering if doing eKYC in the app will change the delivery/connection address to match my Aadhaar.
If anyone’s actually done it, would be helpful to know what happened with the address.

Hi everyone,

I am trying to mount this local-made 2-socket, 2-switch combined extension board onto my wall.

As you can see in the backside of the box , there are outlines for keyhole mounting slots molded into the orange plastic backplate, but they are completely sealed ("blind" slots) from the factory. The plastic layer inside the outlines looks quite thin.

Before I accidentally crack or ruin the outer casing, what is the best way to cleanly open or punch these holes through?

Should I try tapping a sharp screw with a hammer to pop them out?

Would heating up an old screwdriver over a flame to melt through it be safer to avoid fracturing the plastic?

Or should I just try drilling into it?

Hello Everyone,
I'm trying to find out whether there's any official portal or public database where we can see how many term insurance claims an insurance company received and how many they actually settled.
To be clear — I'm asking specifically about TERM insurance only, not other policy types.
Does anyone know if such data is publicly available? Any links to regulatory bodies, annual reports, or comparison portals would be really helpful.
Thanks in advance!
Hey everyone,
I need some advice on managing my grey sideburns (as seen in the attached photo
I currently use Godrej hair coloring shampoo for the rest of my head, but it is incredibly inconvenient and messy to apply to just this specific area near the ears. On top of that, the color washes out of the sideburns way too quickly.
Which long-lasting products, creams, or specific precision tools do you use to color your sideburn ?

My relative was recently hospitalized, and the hospital asked them to pay ₹10,000 at the time of admission, even though they have a medical insurance policy.
I was under the impression that since the policy was cashless, so why they were asked to pay upfront.
Has anyone dealt with this before? A few questions:
Any advice or shared experiences would be really helpful. Thanks!

After 10 years of loyal usage, I finally initiated a cancellation on my Amex MRCC card today.
Because of a tough year financially, I missed spend milestone and got hit with the annual fee. I asked for a waiver to customer support —something they used to grant easily—but they denied it.
so I paid off the fee in full and submitted the cancellation request.
For those who have closed an Amex account recently, how long does it typically take to get the final official confirmation (SMS/Email)?
It really feels like Amex customer service has degraded severely compared to what it used to be a few years ago. Sad to see them change like this.
