Hi everyone! I’ve found a few booklice on my bookshelf/books. It doesn’t look like a full infestation because I’ve only found a few alive. Most of them were dead behind some books, a few of them crawling on the outside of my books. I live in a basement level so I’m bound to get different crawlies often. I get a lot of basement spiders lol! I have a unit that I run on dry mode, so the humidity I don’t think is bad. I clean my bookshelves often which includes vacuuming, dusting, and wiping down. I’ve never had booklice before so I’m wondering how I can deal with this???

Hey everyone, I need to vent. My whole life I’ve always been the friend who shows up for other people. Who checks in and is always there. However I’m also the friend that is constantly left out of plans and nobody shows up for me.
I guess it just hit me when a friend who I’ve known for years- at an event in June, didn’t speak one word to me, then randomly invited me to their grad party. Nobody showed up to my grad party. I was also invited to a birthday party from another friend in that group when nobody plans for my birthday like I do everyone else’s. Every year I try to make plans for my birthday and it never happens because nobody cares. After that event in June, I distanced myself. Stopped looking at my phone and deactivated socials. These two friends sent me a text within 5 minutes from each other “checking in” and I know it was talked about and planned because they were almost identical. I’m just sick of the fake niceties and acting like people care about it me but they don’t… having to show up for friends who don’t do the same for me. I do not want to go to this birthday party next week and have to see all of these girls who make me feel like crap just so I can sit there in silence because whenever I try to even speak I’m ignored or spoken over.
Maybe I’m wrong for going silent but even when I am active in group chats nobody ever responds to me

Hi! A few months ago, I started experiencing extra sensitivity on the left side, specifically on a molar. At my cleaning appt I brought it up and was brushed off by my dentist who took a quick look and said I was fine.
Now, a few months later, this pain has gotten worse. It’s in between my molars and I can feel it at the gum point if that makes sense. I just flossed and that area is still throbbing from how painful it was. Any ideas as to what this might be? I’m thinking of calling and getting another opinion.

Hey everyone! This may be a bit of an odd ask but… does anyone who grew up on the North Shore remember a puppet guy who used to travel to our elementary schools? He had like crazy hats and stuff?? I remember he’d come to our school on field day and it was literally the highlight of elementary school for me!! I am trying so hard to remember his name but I cannot for the life of me think of it. Asking here because it’s going to bother me lol

I’m the oldest child of two emotionally unavailable parents and I had to grow up fast. I don’t ask for help for anything. I’m always on my own because of how useless they are and unwilling to help.

I’m no contact with my dad and the only reason I still talk to my mom is because I have 3 months left on the health insurance. I asked her to help me dispute a medical bill with insurance months ago and hasn’t done it. She just texted me complaining that it’s not even a lot of money (this procedure left me medically traumatized and I even filed a complaint against the hospital). Like… why does the amount matter? Wouldn’t you just want to help your child? So I will just pay on a monthly plan, this is why I don’t ask for anything EVER!!!!!! So frustrating!!!!!

Pollen this year, especially in New England is brutal!!! This past weekend I got sudden throat pain that felt like strep. The last few days it has felt like I’ve been swallowing glass. Everything was negative and PA said it’s definitely allergies.
I’ve had allergies since I was a kid and never have they been this bad

Hi everyone! This is my first car with a push start, so this may be a silly question. Lately I’ve noticed that when I go to start my car, the brake barely pushes down and sometimes it won’t fully start, just the battery will turn on.

Today when I went to start my car, the brake was stiff again and I got a message saying “vehicle not switched off”. My car started but this is so bizarre. It’s a 2025 and so far it’s been the only issue I’ve been noticing the last few weeks. Is it normal for the brake to be that stiff? Or could it be my key fob battery is low??

Has anyone else been having issues with their Apple play and Spotify? Showing a different album cover for the song etc? I know this is a major first world problem but I wasn’t sure if this was a Spotify update issue or a tech issue
