In my opinion, this is the 2nd best primary victory speech since AOC's in 2018 (the best) with Zohran Mamdani's being 3rd.
AOC's tops because AOC just did it impromptu and there were no notes and she immediately discussed other candidates in other races in which leftists and progressives should support.
Melat Kiros's speech had more energy and fire than Zohran Mamdani's. And while I wish Melat had mentioned Hasan Piker and Emma Vigeland in her victory speech, she did mention all her major endorsers. Zohran very conspicuously didn't mention AOC in his victory speech.
'We will not wait' - 29-year-old Democratic Socialist Melat Kiros victory speech | COLORADO ELECTION (Full Speech)
Hasan Piker got another phonebanking thing done. Emma Vigeland did 3 interviews with Melat Kiros and has been promoting her for months and also promoted canvassing and phonebanking for her.
Neither AOC nor NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani endorsed Melat Kiros and she still won. And by a sizable margin.

Caught on camera fleeing the NBA Finals for his $40 million Hamptons home, Jerry Seinfeld declared: “Palestine doesn’t exist.” It’s hard to imagine someone with a larger repository of goodwill and adoration than the 90s television legend, yet Jerry remains steadfast on his mission to destroy it all. This week, comedy connoisseur Emma Vigeland and I investigate Seinfeld’s growing animosity for the changing world around him. And for adult women. >>

I only have so much bandwidth and focus and time. At least some of these Posts and comments clearly help and have clearly had an influence.
But sometimes the limited engagement dissuades me as well as close losses. I still wish I promoted Kat Abu__________ more.
Elections are won by turnout. And electoral politics is important.
COLORADO US SENATE:
Julie Gonzales is the progressive in the race. Relatively little focus has been on her.

US HOUSE DISTRICT 1:
Milat Kiros is the progressive in the race. This is honestly one of those races that I would want AOC to endorse in. It took far more effort and canvassing and phonebanking for Darializa Avia Chevalier to win than if AOC simply endorsed her. And this wasn't a California's Governor's race in which AOC and California Governor Gavin Newsom maybe didn't want to test which maybe had more sway in California politics.
Kiros for Congress | Melat Kiros for Colorado's First District
Home - Kiros for Congress (Canvass, phonebank, textbank) As we saw in the California Governor's race and in the recent June 23, 2026 NY primary races, canvassing, phonebanking, and textbanking can make the difference. Advertising on TV and even social media only does so much. You need to get people to actually come out and vote.

I'll get to the other races later. I still have to finish my 'Here's who won in Maryland and New York' thing. I need to eat.
I will say that while maybe showcasing an endorsement by Hasan Piker may not win out in the cost-benefit analysis (he's good for fundraising and phonebanking and such), it seems showcasing an endorsement by The Majority Report would win out in the cost-benefit analysis.

DSA is increasingly powerful. Get ballot access in at least all the States a Dem. can win and Nominate AOC for POTUS.
Donald Trump partly won the Republican Party primary in 2016 by being able to credibly threaten to run a Third-Party campaign if he didn't get the Nomination.
DSA is now more popular than the official Democratic Party among Democrats and Democratic-leaners. AOC is far more popular than all the other potential Democratic POTUS 2028 contenders.
Let's end this various bullsh*t like 'US Senator Jon Ossoff can unite the leftists and moderates'. Let's end the 'Pete Buttigieg is someone who can win.' Let's end this Gavin Newsom 2028 stuff. And let's end the Kamala Harris 2028 campaign.
Elections are won by turnout. Even 8+% of registered Republicans will vote for AOC over the Republican Nominee. People aren't going to be excited to vote for a 'moderate' or a weak supposed progressive.
I'll add that those relatively low voter turnouts in the NY US House 7th and 13th races imply that voters considered these races relatively not competitive.
The margins could literally be because of canvassing, phonebanking, promoting the candidates, making people aware of these races and candidates, etc.
Ultimately, I give the most edge to DSA given that without them, AOC and Zohran Mamdani, The Majority Report, Emma Vigeland, Hasan Piker, and others wouldn't have likely endorsed these candidates to begin with.
___________
I gotta say it. Justice Democrats recruited Darializa Avila Chevalier and supported her with around $300K. And American Priorities (the anti-A*PAC and Co group) supported her with around $1Mln. These groups are also factors in her win.
