i posted on here a week or so now and while i did get dms, a lot of those people ended up not replying after a while, even ones i thought were great and that we got on super well. i did meet a few people i think will be friends of mine for a long time, which i’m super grateful for! but i also got some weirdos too which is lame but it happens for everyone i’m sure.

sometimes i think i’m definitely too much for people, especially people who are i guess pretty ordinary, not to say being ordinary is a bad thing, but i do overwhelm sometimes, at least that’s the vibe i’ve gotten. i have a lot of energy and i’m super passionate about the stuff i’m into and what i care about. and i really like to take interest in other people’s interests or their careers or their pets or whatever they have that they want to talk about. but i think the enthusiasm can be off putting or maybe even try hard. over-friendly? too eager? i’m just happy to know you, honestly. i love people and i wanna get to know as many people as i can because you can learn so much from other people. and i would like to be your friend. i want to get to know you.

so for some clarify, please don’t message me with the hopes of anything that isn’t platonic. i don’t want to waste your time, i don’t want my time wasted, please message me seeking friendship first and foremost.

and the elephant in the room, i have pronouns and that’s either plain weird or just confusing for people, which is fine i suppose, but i definitely have had men contact me just to treat me like i’m woman-lite or whatever lol please don’t do that. i’m some kind of queer and i’m some kind of trans and i’m really happy that way! and if you message me i’d like it to be with the pre-tense that you’re super accepting and cool with it, even if you don’t fully understand, but you’d like to! i’m also comorbid for a couple of neurological disorders which i think is off putting unless you’re also neurodiverse, so please be patient with me if say, my social etiquette or social cues aren’t quite to par with what you may be used to.

ok i think that’s enough uh, warnings i guess. to scare off bigots and what not. let me introduce myself! my name is fray, that’s not my birth name, it’s one i chose for myself. i picked it from the character fray myste from final fantasy xiv. if you know that character, you’ll know a lot about me immediately. as the title says i am 32, i barely ever remember my age and i do have to ask my mother to remind me from time to time. when i was a teenager i forgot my birthday and convinced myself it was a totally different day in the same month for a little too long. don’t gave faith in my memory, because i sure don’t.

i live in the uk, but being in the uk isn’t a requirement to message me. i currently live like 20 minutes from the coast and the land is so flat here i can see wind turbines 5 miles out to see as clear as day from my house, which is fucking awesome. i have a small dog named jenny who turns 16 this september. she’s going to live forever. i absolutely love animals so if you have pets a sure fire way to start conversation is to unload just a backlog of pet photos to me, absolutely spam me, i will be delighted. absolutely elated.

i am not very active so hiking is absolutely not a way to bond with me, which seems to be the only way people want to bond on dating apps, what’s up with that? i never thought i would have to say i don’t want to go hiking with you so many times in my life, but here we are. the time of having no hobbies so we start hiking. or, some do, i certainly don’t. i’ve got hobbies. of the digital kind.

i really fucking love video games. i’ve loved video games since playing bubble bobble on an atari at 3 years old. i grew up with playstation, had a pc before most, and have always found escape and joy and a means of creativity in video games. i don’t play any pvp multiplayer ones anymore, i used to but now i’m just not up for it and i get pretty bad wrist pain so don’t expect any marvel rivals or whatever from me. i mostly play rpgs, i love games where i make a little guy, i obsess over their background and care way too much about roleplaying, i love hyperfixating on fictional characters and buying charms to put on my corkboard. one day i will have an ita bag just you watch. i write fanfiction you wont read and i will write 10,000 word meta posts about why i think gale dekarios from baldurs gate 3 is trans.

other things i like include reading books, my favourite series of all time is the southern reach and it is my autistic special interest. if you want to win me over you’ll say you’ll read it because of me. that’s practically an instant i’m in love with you. i love horror in all forms. i love movies. i kind of love tv. i have guilty pleasure shows that are so fucking bad but i will binge them. i listen to music like everyone else and my favourite stuff is usually video game osts. i think my favourite themes in media are transhumanism, ecohorror, biopunk and cannibalism.

i keep seeing old posts and comments saying if you buy the costume DLCs for one, they’ll automatically work in the other. people reference a comment on the DLC pages saying that’ll happen.

however, i can’t find this comment on any of them. can anyone help me? did they remove this functionality? i’m only interested in the old costumes from previous games.

i’d like to hopefully hit a steady 60fps (not in towns, because even monster pcs struggle with that lol) with absolutely no framegen on a handheld.

i currently have a steam deck oled, which cant play dd2 at all, its a mess.
