First lino ever

I did practice woodcut print about 20 years ago in College...

Lately I felt like I wanted to try lino, seemed similar but easier. Also, I just learned that now there are water based inks!!! 🥳 Made cleaning instant!

Question:

How to avoid inking the surrounding edge? I've seen linoleum being cut around the silhouette of the art. But then, how do I keep register marks? Thinkg ahead for/if I print more than one color.

I slept a week with a man who snores

He's a friend with benefits. I'm NOT clingy at all and we're not too affectionate, Im used to sleeping alone and hate sharing the bed.

We've slept together before and he snores, not too loud, but constantly. I always go through hell when he stays over (happened a few times) so eventually I kindly asked him to not stay anymore.

It makes me feel irate when I'm sleeping and BOOM he does like one loud, single snore and I IT MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL, I will move him, shoosh him, and so neither does he or I sleep well ALL NIGHT LONG.

Well we had a week long vacation planned and he booked everything months ago because I was way too busy with something big.

A few days before the trip I realized that I was going to be sleeping in a foreign bed with this person for a WHOLE WEEK.

Glad to report, I brought some cheap disposable ear plugs, the ones that feel like a marshmallow. I shoved those all the way to my brain and slept perfectly from night 2 to the rest of the days. (Night 1 was trial and indeed neither slept).

Just wanted to share that those thingies work wonders.

Need to change my receiver...

This is my modest setup (also some random CD player, and a subwoofer not pictured here). I know it might be crappy for some but if I could I'd have different stuff... also the TT is for ocasional use and I live in an apartment, I don't ever play music too loud.

Having the capacity to connect my phone via bluetooth is very important for me.

That's why I bought that simple mini receiver that has a bluetooth input.

Now here's the issue:

Whenever I go from AUX to BT, a loud POP comes out the speakers (without the subwoofer connected it still happens).

To avoid having that horrible pop out the speakers, I have to manually set the volume to zero, connect the Bluetooth, get the music playing and only after that I'll turn the volume back up.

Also if I'm on the phone using and app and change to another, the pop comes out. It's like if the "signal" of Bluetooth is interrupted, the pop happens.

Any recommendations??

Just made yogurt for the first time! Yay!

I had always thought this was a much more complicated process without a machine, until I realized a Thermos should keep the temperature steady, looked it up and, indeed it's something people do!

My process was:
Heat 1L of skimmed milk to 85°C // Let cool until it reached 45° // Mix 2 tbsp of yogurt in a little bit of milk and mix back in the full pot // Move to a (preheated with boiling water) thermos for 12 hours // Move to a glass jar with lid // Let sit for 4 hours.

The consistency is nice, thick but I'd like it thicker, although I believe this could be due to the fact that the milk is skimmed.

My question:

It's a little lumpy/clotted. Is there a way to avoid this?

Booking pages: If I create a shared calendar and add user, can I set notifications of cancelled events to people who are NOT invited?

I have a booking page for a small gym at the condominium. It's currently public and people book one hour slots ("appointments").

At times, one user cancels their appointment shortly before the hour, leaving that slot available to other user. But that other user who earlier saw the calendar full, is unaware that it is now available.

If I share the calendar with the users... Can it send notifications of cancelled events to ALL USERS that have been added to the "Shared with"?

Jack Klompus reminds me of Jimmy Fallon

Something in his face, or maybe smile, always makes me think he looks like Jimmy Fallon (or the other way around, actually).

I can't NOT wear panty liners

I'm 40. Ever since I was around 10 I have had a lot of discharge.

When I was around my 20s I went a few times to the gynecologist and I had fungal infection which was easily treated either with intravaginal creams, or pills.

By now I'm able to recognize a fungal infection from just regular discharge. Only that my regular discharge is a lot (doesnt smell, no discomfort at all).

I read everywhere that to avoid infections and such, do not wear panty liners. Easy to say when you dont have so much discharge! I don't want to walk around wet panties permanently!

I have been considering trying reusable cloth liners, which I suppose breath better than the regular plastic bottom, disposable panty lines.

Has anyone with a similar experience tried this?

How to make a calendar visible

There's a small gym on the condominium I live in. One person or a couple can train in there, at a time.

I created a gmail account for a calendar where users block 1 hour appointments that get added to their calendars on their phones. If they decide they won't attend, they should delete the appointment on their phone so as to free that time slot for other to use.

Now, apparently users haven't necessarily been doing that (cancelling), and people want to know if there's a way in which they all can see the calendar.

How can I make the calendar fully visible to all the public, but keep them from changing anything? I don't want them to be able to, for instance, delete another user's appointment.

How to darken outside an area

I'm an absolute beginner. I have watched several tutorials on masks (and I just learned that they have recently changed) but none seem to do exactly what I need.

For a tutorial video on the interface of a dashboard, I want to momentarily "highlight" part of the interface. But instead of highlighting, it's actually darkening the other stuff. And this will happen in different parts of the screen as the Voice Over explains the different panels/menus.

Do I do this with an Object with low transparency? But then, how do I put the "hole" in the object??

Screenshots for reference of what my intention is.

Mejor localidad en Coliseo Medplus

Hola, gente.

I don't know a thing about this, so excuse me if I'm not making sense. I will appreciate orientation.

I've had my beloved 2007 Yaris for 12 years and for the last 4 years I have had to park outdoors. The paint is now in bad shape and I want to have it repainted.

I'd like to change the hue a little bit, and I've seen some model of Toyota which I can't remember... in a shade that I liked.

Is there any repository for colors that Toyotas have come in historically? So that I may find the one in particular or some other that I like.

Thanks in advance.
