Probably a silly question: How do you wear the NetApp badge reel?

Question for NBC folks. Not sure if this is the right place to ask.

I know there are separate ID card holders/belt clips available online, but how are you supposed to use the standard NetApp badge reel without buying anything extra? I’ve seen people keep it clipped to their pants pocket/waist and tap in, but I can’t figure out how😅

It’s a bit embarrassing to ask coworkers, so thought I’d ask here.

Women who live away from home, how do you manage cooking, cleaning and a demanding job without burning out?

27F, living in Bangalore with a flatmate for the last 2 years.

We don't have a cook or maid and manage everything ourselves - cooking, dishes, cleaning, groceries, laundry, and weekend deep cleaning.

My flatmate works in a non-tech role and is generally free after work. I'm a backend developer and recently joined a new US-based product company. I have 3 days WFO, and now that actual work has started, I'm finding it difficult to keep up with household responsibilities.

After coming back from office, cooking and cleaning take up most of my evening. On WFH days, making lunch and cleaning utensils in between work also feels exhausting. I often end up sleeping late because there never seems to be enough time.

The thing is, I can afford a cook and cleaning maid, but my flatmate is on a tighter budget. Also, I stay in the smaller room while she has the master bedroom, and lately I've started feeling unhappy with the overall setup.

I'm seriously considering moving into a premium/luxury PG for a few months, at least until my probation period ends.

Have any women here made a similar switch from a shared flat to a PG? Did it improve your quality of life, or did you miss the independence of having your own apartment?

Need advice: Am I being unreasonable for wanting to skip this girls’ trip?

Need some advice.

My flatmate is planning an all-girls trip next month with her ex-colleague and her cousin. My flatmate is very kind and really wants me to come, but I'm seriously considering skipping it because of her cousin.

A month ago, I had just come back from my hometown after travelling overnight and had onboarding at a new job the next day. My flatmate and I had already decided to cook later in the evening since neither of us was hungry and I was exhausted.

While I was taking a bath, she started cooking and was on a video call with her cousin. When I came out, I overheard her cousin saying something like, "Ask her why she can't come and cook, fight with her." My flatmate immediately signaled her to stop.

That comment really hurt because it felt judgmental and unfair. I wasn't avoiding helping—I had travelled all night and we had already agreed to cook later. Since then, I've had a very negative impression of her cousin.

Now she's coming on the trip. Everyone attending is either my flatmate's friend, ex-colleague, or cousin, so I feel like I'll be the odd one out. My flatmate keeps insisting that I come and is even saying she'll cancel the trip if I don't.

Would you still go in this situation? Am I holding onto one comment for too long, or is it reasonable to skip a trip if someone's presence is likely to affect your peace of mind?

TL;DR: Overheard my flatmate's cousin make a judgmental comment about me when I was exhausted after overnight travel. Never liked her much before, dislike her even more now. She's joining an upcoming girls' trip and I'm considering skipping it, but my flatmate is pressuring me to come and may cancel if I don't. What would you do?

6yoe | Backend | Recently switched, preparing again | Looking for prep buddy

I recently switched companies(pbc to pbc), but I'm not really enjoying the work and am planning to prepare for another switch. During my last job search, I solved a good number of LeetCode problems and would like to get back into a consistent routine.

I have close to 6 years of experience as a backend developer, primarily working with Java and Spring Boot. I'm fine partnering with someone from any backend tech stack.

Looking for people with similar YOE who are actively preparing for SDE-2/SDE-3 level interviews, preferably from strong product companies/FAANG-level companies.

If you're interested, DM me with:
- Years of experience
- Tech stack
- Company (if you're comfortable sharing)

Please don't send low-effort messages like "hi" or "interested." I'll likely ignore those.

College students and freshers, please don't DM. Looking for peers with similar experience levels.

Also, if there's already an existing LeetCode/prep group and you're looking for more people, count me in.

Do Product Management bootcamps genuinely help people land PM roles? Can someone realistically break into Product Management through Airtribe?

A distant relative of mine recently joined an Airtribe Product Management course (~72k total, around 6k EMI/month). He’s currently working in workplace experience management, doesn’t come from a tech background, and got his bachelor degree through distance learning while working.

What I’m trying to understand is — how realistic are these PM bootcamps actually?

From what I see, PM roles in big tech usually expect strong execution skills, product sense, communication, analytics, stakeholder management, and often decent tech understanding too. Meanwhile top colleges have dedicated MBAs and product programs, so I’m curious where these cohort-based courses fit in.

Do people genuinely transition into good PM roles through courses like Airtribe, or are they mostly useful only if someone already has relevant experience/networking/discipline?

Also, how much does consistency matter? I noticed many people enroll with big dreams but struggle to attend classes regularly or complete assignments.

Would love honest opinions from people who’ve taken such courses or hired PMs.

Asked for “guidance” to crack a good PBC, came with abuse

Pata hai aaj kya hua…

Aaj nahi kal,

Met a random Reddit “techie” who asked for guidance to crack a good PBC.
Didn’t even ask a proper question initially, got mad because I didn’t instantly help, called me selfish/egoistic, trauma dumped, then finally asked for prep advice.

I said: DSA + LLD + HLD + consistency.

His response?
“Wow thanks angel So the secret is just study?” 😭

Some people don’t want guidance, they want a shortcut + emotional support + referral + spoon feeding from strangers on the internet.

Apparently ‘guidance’ means free mentorship + therapy + roadmap + instant replies from random strangers on Reddit.

Copying last para again as there’s warning to add more than 125 words

6 YOE, switched last month, now eBay MTS1 interviews lined up, worth pursuing or will frequent switches hurt later?

I have close to 6 YOE and switched companies last month. During my interview phase, I had also applied to eBay, but they kept rescheduling my interviews multiple times, so I went ahead and joined another company which was offering better among the 2 offers I had then. In my current company there was a round of layoff after I joined.

Last week I finally gave the first round at eBay, got shortlisted, and now they’ve scheduled the final 2 rounds (system design + managerial) Saturday as F2F. HR said they can roll out the offer Saturday itself if I clear.

This is for an MTS1 role. My long-term goal has always been to work at FAANG / FAANG-level companies or abroad opportunities, so I’m confused whether I should seriously pursue this or just stay in my current company for stability since I literally joined a month ago.

Would frequent switches at this stage look questionable in future? Especially if I move again within 1–2 months of joining.
Would appreciate honest opinions from people in big tech or hiring side.

Laser hair removal treatment, inframe: Rohit Prajapati

He posts videos of clients reactions on laser hair removal to gain views. These posts look kinda questionable….

No proper protection like eye protection/gel. I’ve gotten laser done at dermat clinic and it was way more structured than this.

▲ 2 r/Udupi

I checked Jayalaxmi and Geethanjali Silks but most designs felt outdated. Looking for something more modern/trendy (pastel, Indo-western, minimal embroidery) within a reasonable budget.

Any boutique/store/instagram store suggestions in Udupi/Manipal?
