Early Spring
As of July 1, BMW is still promising a software update to enable Supercharger use in “early Spring 2026.” I didn’t realize until now that they’re referring to Spring in the Southern Hemisphere.
I have a brand new Ioniq 9 Calligraphy, less than 2 weeks old. The electric switch that tilts and telescopes the steering wheel isn’t working. It definitely worked when I got the car, but now it does nothing. The wheel still retracts and raises on entry and exit, so the motors that move it are functional. I thought it might be a blown fuse, but according to the owners manual, it’s on the same fuse/circuit as the hazard light switch, and that’s still working. Any ideas? Is there some setting I accidentally enabled that disables the switch? Or do I need to call the dealer?
I tried resetting the steering wheel power adjustment (Owners Manual, page 111) but that didn’t seem to do anything.
(BTW, I’m loving the Ioniq 9 so far. I traded in from a 2023 Palisade Calligraphy, and drove a 2020 Palisade before that.)
