I tried a different recipe for dinner tonight and it actually came out really really good.

Ingredients

° 1/ 2 to 1 head of cabbage

° 1 lb Ground Beef or Turkey

° 1 lLB Italian sausage (I substituted 3 Italian Sausage links)

° 5 Slices of Bacon

° Bell Peppers (all colors), diced/minced

° 1 handful shredded carrot

° 1 Sweet Onion ( I also added white, and red onion)

° 2 TBS Tomato Paste

° 1/4 C All-Purpose Flour

° 1 to 2 C Beef Broth

° 1 can Rotel Diced Tomatoes (undrained)

° 1-2 TBS Worcestershire Sauce

° Garlic paste ( measure at your discretion)

° 1 pkt Beefy Onion Soup Mix

° Italian Seasoning

° Complete Seasoning (I substituted for Tony's no salt seasoning)

Instructions

° Chop veggies and bacon. Cook bacon in a skillet until crisp, then remove.

° Add ground turkey to the bacon fat first to get it browning, then add sliced sausage links so both finish together with good color.

° Add flour to the meat and mix well to form your gravy base. Add tomato paste and let cook 1 minute before stirring in.

° Add peppers, carrots, onion, garlic paste, undrained Rotel, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soup mix, and seasonings. Mix well, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.

° Add cabbage, let steam until desired texture, and toss together and serve hot.

° You can top with cooked bacon either on the entire pan or per serving..

I've been wanting to make taco spaghetti for quite some time now. I was supposed to make it yesterday, but it got too late, so I just decided to make it today for dinner. I actually tasted it, but that's odd for me to eat a meal that I prepare the very same day, and I feel like it's missing something. But if I would have waited until tomorrow to try it, it very well would have tasted perfectly because the seasonings would have had time to settle into the mixture. So I'll give an update tomorrow when I have it for lunch. I paired it with a cornbread casserole with cheese and jalapeños (which I've had several times before), but this is my first time adding jalapeños to the cornbread.

I was in Dollar Tree today looking for a basket for a baby shower gift and came across this basket and thought to myself hey I could put Tommy's toys in here. I like the gray around the brim of the basket because Tommy is a gray and white cat.

Today and tomorrow are going to be long days so I decided to give Tommy "The Best" of both worlds this morning. He got a mixed grill Pate + tuna and shrimp delectable lickable treat + warm water & the second bowl is chicken and salmon dry food (Purina One) plus his water.

​As you can see he has already dug into the wet and the dry food this morning. I usually feed him when I'm walking out the door to go to work, but this morning I decided to feed him as soon as I woke up at 3:00 a.m. and he'll nibble on it throughout the day. They may both be clean by the time I get home from work today.

​Side note: This morning he walked over to my side of the bed and basically woke me up before my alarm clock went off to tell me in his language that he was hungry.

Started the week off right with these breakfast biscuits! ☀️

That sweet and spicy hot honey hits every single time.

I added these to Tommy's rotation. Two of the "I and Love and You" flavors I purchased aren't pictured because he ate those already. The two that are missing are the Tuna & Sardine and Mackerel. He really took well to those two flavors. I like these because they are creamy and all I have to do is add a little bit of warm water to them so the aroma is strong.

​He's had the Purina One wet food before I just hadn't bought it in a while.

​When I buy Tommy his wet food I like to buy the proteins combined with either another protein or a vegetable. The single proteins (chicken, tuna, salmon) is fine but I feel like the combo flavors goves him variety in every meal.

​I'm also finding that one pouch is a bit much for one serving, so I'll give him half the pouch with warm water to stretch it.

Has anyone ever purchased Pure Balance treats for their cat? If so, did your cat like them?

​I've purchased some of these periodically for Tommy since bringing him home. I've tried several different brands of treats off & on—some are his go-tos and some are not. I see that they've added different flavors of these treats over time. I'd love to try all of these for him, including the purées and any new flavors they've added to their line.

We just recently moved to a new apartment a couple of weeks ago. The first week he seemed okay, but from the second week until now, he's started to meow constantly in the middle of the night. It's almost like clockwork—1:00 AM hits and he's meowing non-stop until I leave for work. (I've attached a photo of him watching me walk out the door).

​Now, let me say this before someone brings up the new environment: when I first took Tommy home seven months ago, he didn't do this one single time. I'm not sure how long Tommy was on the streets before I brought him inside, but from the very first moment, it didn't take him any time at all to feel at home.

​This seems like completely out-of-character behavior. I know I should give him time to adjust, but it just seems weird that he didn't act this way during our very first move together.

​Has anyone else experienced this from their cat(s)?
