Spider-cam for when my insomnia strikes

Sometimes when I can’t sleep I’ll pull this up instead of scrolling, it tends to make me relaxed and tired and helps me get back to sleep.
I love how weird the Buddha face hide looks in night vision. Haha
Side note, if anyone has a camera they use that captures a more crisp video please share what it is. I currently have a Wyze camera which I like a lot, it would just be nicer to get a little better video quality.

I’ve been looking at mushrooms for too long…. (See below)

This was on a subreddit completely unrelated
To mushrooms. I sat there a good 45 seconds trying to make sense of it. My brain was trying to convince me it was some weird mutation of enigma with penis envy caps sprouting from
It and little pieces of substrate on the caps.
Turns out it’s just a fucking cake. And not the kind you rehydrate for multiple flushes! I’m dying 😂💀

Fangs, eyeballs and scritchies. Probably the best video I’ve ever got of opal. (You can see all her eyes really good towards the end)

Speck exploring their new crib

My Grammostola pulchra has been pretty anti-social the past few months. It’s been fun watching them crawl around and explore since I upgraded the enclosure. Finally getting more black than brown in coloration.

My free range pet spider. Been feeding it crickets I keep on hand for my tarantulas. She’s grown so much!

Can’t believe Rose is 16! I’m blaming the homemade food, living in the mountains and lots and lots of LOVE!

Took her out on my SUP today for the first time. I can’t believe I waited so long! This pup used to hike (up to) 10 mile hikes in a day with me.
She’s a lot slower and limited to 1-3 miles a day now. But she has always loved swimming. I wasn’t sure how she would do on the SUP because when we go rafting she nonstop barks and whines from excitement and keeps trying to jump in the water, it’s a bit much. She enjoyed the SUP so much! She was chill the whole time and did want to swim but just a few times and didn’t jump in without the ‘go ahead’.
Will be doing this the rest of the summer with her every chance I get!

Successfully rehoused my GBB Voodoo, who is also my most skittish Tarantula!

However, my dumba$$ failed to wear gloves during this process and while I continued to clean out the old enclosure. I’ve done many rehousings and this is the first time I’ve been so careless. Now am
Dealing with very itchy hands and forearms. Won’t make that mistake again!

Oscar (Scarlet) the Grouch gets a house upgrade! Also added some pics of our journey together and her near death experience.

I’ve had her over a year now. Although she went rogue for six of those months. I’m very pleased with how her new enclosure turned out. She’s been roaming and seems to like the cave inside the Buddha face the most.
A lot of you know her story and read my post about how I brought her back from the brink of death. I have to say she is my favorite T after what we’ve been through together!
I added a few xtra photos from the day I brought her home to when I found her in a death curl and her progress after coming back to life and finding out Oscar was a Scarlet.

Spood Cam is back online since I moved three months ago and I missed it!

I get way too much enjoyment out of this. It’s kinda therapeutic too. I don’t sleep well and sometimes when I can’t sleep I’ll get on and watch the T’s, more often than not it helps me fall asleep. Def more relaxing than doom scrolling.

My goofy gal Rose. Always making me chuckle. Always melting my heart. 16 years and going strong! (Just a bit more sleepy these days)

A rare sighting of Gort, my Caribena versicolor. They usually stay hidden in their web up high

Experienced Enigma cultivators help a sister out.

This is my first time growing this one. Well versed in quite a few others. Since the structure of Enigma is so different I’ve definitely had times where I have been second guessing myself.
I saw the darker shade of blue today and my mind went straight to trich so I yanked the feller out of the middle. Then I figured it was probably best to hop on here and get someone else’s opinion.
Is this contam or is it the way Enigma looks? I think I’ve read/seen posts about it turning blue like this. Not sure about the shade/texture Hoping it isn’t a wash.
Had a successful first flush with my other bin and this is the first flush with this one.
Teach me your ways.
Thanks in advance! :)

Enclosure recommendations that are not T-cribs please.

Been using tarantula cribs for over a year. I’m really happy with them and love the quality. However, their prices are absolutely ridiculous as my tarantulas are moving into full sized enclosures. Just can’t justify spending $200-400 for an acrylic box, no matter
How well made it is.
Can anyone recommend something similar but more affordable?
Acrylic would be great
Good ventilation and no screen top
Clear all around for good viewing
SECURE

These are a few things I’m looking for in my next enclosure.
I’m rehousing Oscar (Scarlet) the grouch who already went rogue for 6 months so I need an escape proof home for her!
