seattletimes.comI regret choosing UW over CMU
When I was in high school I had the option between CMU or my state school (University of Washington).
In every single CS class there's 100-150+ students and like 1 professor
Even though I love the people here 90% of the people at UW CS are from WA and like 70% are from bellevue/redmond some Seattle suburb so I wish there were more diversity of admitted students
I always really enjoyed humanities courses but there's 0 rigor in UW's humanities courses
And while my state school is pretty good for FAANG recruiting there isn't as much of a quant trading/quant research culture compared to CMU so I don't think I'll find much resources/guidance for that
Anyway that's my rant

seattletimes.comBroken glass on stair landing in U District Station for several days now
I take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator. Anyway, these past few days I’ve seen this broken glass on the stair landing. Is anyone paid to clean the stations? How come it hasn’t been cleaned up yet? Tx.
