anyone else working in education hate the summer holidays or at least how long they are?
It’s just the first week and i’m over the holidays. Nothing to do and everyday is just the same.
why do we get attached to people and find it hard to let go even though they easily can move on without us?
is it a childhood trauma thing or are we seeking something? I will never understand attachment and why it only works one way.
i’m pretty sure we’ve all been through this but anyone else like really self conscious about how others see them?
like i get some people look at you and all
they see is whether your “perfect” or not but do you ever just find yourself constantly worrying about the way to look to others.
Recently i’ve found myself overthinking the way i look every time i walk into a room, or when im having a conversation with people and i absolutely hate it. it’s taken over my life.
Can’t lie i am on the “weaker” side and i know that affects the way i look but my body does not let me put on any weight and i hate it. I would do anything to put on a decent amount of weight :(
somebody please tell me the easiest way to gain weight!
for context i am 26F who has struggled with my weight my whole life. I am a picky eater i eat probably
2 meals max a day and occasionally snack throughout the day where i can. I know eating 2 meals isn’t enough but the thought of breakfast sickens me. I cannot for the life of me stomach breakfast.
i used to go to the gym but stopped about a year ago (planning on signing up again soon) i have also started eating more meals like chicken and rice and change it up here and there for work.
i have fast metabolism unfortunately and have been to the doctors about my weight but he said my anxiety and depression is a big factor for me not being able to gain weight.
i hate the way i look, i have no muscle just bone and im always feeling weak
Anyone in a similar boat or was who can help
me out. I work in a school and would love to have made some progress when i’m back at work in September.

anyone else feel like “their person” just does not exist? like sometimes after a long day all i want is to be loved by “my person” but i feel like they just don’t exist.
like i am so jealous in a good way of people who can offload to their significant other whereas i just have to keep everything inside me cause i have no one that would listen to me the way i deserved to be listened to…
lately i’ve come to the realisation that i give too much of myself to people. I tend to their every need, when people are overwhelmed i’m calming them down, reducing their workload by adding on to my own. I’m always checking to see if people are okay and going above and beyond just making sure they’re okay all the time. Now doing all of that doesn’t actually bother me because it comes so naturally to me for people i genuinely care about. What hurts me is that i don’t get an ounce of that same care back. I work myself into a state where i lose myself and people around me know what im struggling with but i just always feel like a burden. Like people have to check in on me not because they want to and they care about me but because they have to! IDK maybe im thinking into it to much but its all starting to get to me :(
anyone else just get the urge to randomly scream? Like i’ll be absolutely fine and then a random wave hits and i feel it in my body and i just want to scream at the top of my lungs!! Why??
I just want my hair gone from everywhere lol
This is gonna be long.
I don’t really know where to start. All I know is i need the advice i want to hear.
I feel really behind in life as a 26 year old. My parents and family have f\*cked up mine and my siblings lives. Today we are all struggling with our own lives while trying to support each other. Our childhood was taken from us, and so were our teenage years. Growing up my parents relationship wasn’t the best and even tho now they are somewhat better than before i wouldn’t say their relationship is at all healthy nor a happy one. They argue over the most pettiest things and involve us kids into it when they should be the adults dealing with their own shit. Although i currently work and i am very happy with where and who i work with, i know i had the chance to do better. BTW going to uni wasn’t a thing for me as an asian female. From a young age i suffered with my mental health and still suffer to this day but to my parents it’s nothing. I get stupid intrusive thoughts but have never acted upon them. This isn’t flowing very well i know, but i feel like nothing is working out for me and my mental health is just getting worse. I have seen a GP who referred me to talking therapies but letting my parents now i have made that step is daunting. I wish i spoke up sooner and took a stand for myself. I wish i have the means to move out but my job is really close to where i live and i love the people i work it. I don’t really want to leave my job because of all the stress my family have put upon me but i really don’t know what else to do. My friends at work know my situation and have offered to help me “get out of here” any time i need them to. But i don’t want my friends to witness that nor do i want to be a burden on them. My parents are absolutely no help and all they do is guilt trip us. They don’t like the idea of their daughters being independent and standing up for themselves which baffles me. It’s almost like women are born to suffer at every stage in their life. I was never an angry person, like only for valid things but i find myself getting angry over the littlest off things. I’ve had enough of everything. We were never taught about how the world works and were protected in a bubble which cannot be popped and still are in that bubble. I don’t know the first thing about moving out and living alone. Everyone who made us suffer are living happily and acting as if tho they were never abused us or hurt us. I guess i’ve just had enough and my only thought is getting away from here. Why do parents ruin their children’s lives? Why do they hurt them so badly to the point that there children have to walk on eggshells around them? And i still love my parents and could never do anything to break their hearts. But their mindset is just so toxic i cannot bear it anymore… I want to work on myself like going to the gym (i have an ED) as i am really insecure about the way i look but my family life is so daunting and draining. I want to travel the world but again being an asian girl that’s not possible. Why is life so hard for us asian girls?

Why are parents so selfish? I know it’s not only my parents but why is it that they only care about themselves? Like they wanna share all their worries with their kids which isn’t wrong at all but never make time to speak to their kids about their worries? And when you finally have the courage to admit you’re struggling and want to seek help they give the classic “what have you got to be stressed about, you have a roof over your head and food on the table?” My parents really baffle me and my curse is that I don’t treat them the way they treat me. I still care for them and spend most of my day even when Im working worried that they’re stressed. And the minute, the minute I’ve absolutely had enough and put myself first i’m the selfish one. Like how?
