It took 6 months from an idea to finally see my app in Google play store.

Basically it block distracting apps BUT LIKE NO OTHER APPS

Features:
- It let's you use reddit for example and after certain amount of time it start blocking you then you have to read some verses of Quran then you can use Reddit again.

- You can make groups for example 10 minutes for 3 apps (not each).

- Also screen usage feature, using your phone for certain amount of time will block you again and you have to read and then use the phone.

Appreciate any suggestions or feedback to improve the app more

I kept telling myself "I'll read Quran later" — and later never came. I'd pick up my phone for one notification and 45 minutes later I was still on TikTok, having not opened the Quran once that day. So I built something that wouldn't let that keep happening to me.

My goal is simple: make it so hard to avoid Quran that you accidentally build the habit. Not through guilt or reminders you swipe away, but by actually interrupting the behavior that's replacing it.

WIRD blocks the apps you pick, catches you mid-scroll once you hit your limit, and won't let you back in until you read a verse. It also tracks your Hassanat, keeps a streak, and shows a GitHub-style contribution heatmap of your reading habit so you can actually see your consistency instead of just feeling vaguely guilty about it. 💜

It's growing slowly, and I'm okay with that. I'm not trying to pretend it's bigger than it is. 🐌

Also, a fun milestone: I haven't missed a day of reading since I started using my own app to force myself into it. Every download so far is someone deciding to give it a shot, and that still feels pretty wild to me. 🔥🌙🔥

Finally got Production approval! And I couldn't do it without you!

After asking for help in this community many of you helped and become testers and now after couple of weeks my app is live and it's ready to anyone to use.

Honestly wasn't sure at a few points whether I'd hit a wall I couldn't get past, so seeing it go through felt pretty surreal.

Wanted to say thanks to everyone in this sub — the threads here on tester recruitment, the Google Group access workaround, and general "don't panic, this is normal" reassurance made a real difference. Solo indie dev builds can feel like shouting into the void, so having a place to compare notes actually helped.
