I take a good 1,2 look at something funny during the video and grins. Always wondered what it was.
I was messing around with my iPad and it’s amazing that the battery still holds a charge as well as my iPhone I’m holding right now. However, I can run a few game apps on it but that’s it. No YouTube, safari can’t even navigate - messages won’t connect, email, ect. I have one app that is 32 bit that I purchased that I don’t want impacted. What are some benefits of jails breaking for this device - what can I legit use? Also what jailbreaking service should I use to do it that a newb like me could do???
I find it impressive that a 16 year old
device is still holding a charge as well as my 3 year old iPhone. Of course most apps aren’t usable because of lack of updates it’s a neat piece of Apple history.
Why are the C64 titles so underwhelming? Is it like a budget line? Or were they like the ones sold at K-Mart or something? They just always look so terrible against the box releases?!
Tennessee native here. I lived in Seattle for about seven years and was involved with the 36th District Democrats. They always had detailed guides of Democrats they vetted and endorsed. It was located on their website and distributed by volunteers to homes that had voted Democrat in the past. Is there any type of guide or endorsements here that anyone knows of? Doing research is the only way but - most people probably don’t do that. Or feel like Democrats will lose anyway and so - just don’t make the effort. I feel like if there was a “this person has the best chance” list people would at least have an idea who to get behind if they don’t feel represented. Thoughts???
*This isn’t a post for - Democrats aren’t going to win anyway, party infighting, hating on dems (they often piss me off too). This is a place about ousting the garbage that’s in office now and the best chance to do that - whoever it may be.
So I know that in most states you can mount an authentic state issued plate from the year your vehicle was manufactured. However, would that include an Antique Auto tag from the year my car was manufactured? I have a 1990 Jaguar XJS. I would want to use a 1990 AA tag in place of the modern one. The standard issue plate in 1990 was pretty ugly so I was wondering about this one. Thanks in advance.
Hey guys, I’m faced with how best to repair the damaged side(s) of this Telefunken satellite speaker.
Here are my options:
A. Score existing veneer with a blade in a straight 90 from the top and fit in a new piece of dark walnut veneer and trim with a “veneer trimming tool”(I just made this tool
up but I’m sure it exists) They even make iron on veneer apparently but I have no experience with such things.
B. Find another with an intact veneer and swap. The only way (see pics) I can tell the wood shell is attached is by a line of staples top and bottom. I see no other way this outside shell can be removed.
C. I’d rather not replace the entire veneer. I don’t want to lose the Stereo sticker on the back and it also sets in a corner so I feel a patch or swap satisfies my desire to do right by this piece. I could be swayed I suppose but feel pretty intimidated by applying a veneer around a curve like that.
The speaker itself sounds great. I plugged into the back of my Telefunken Sonata and it works perfectly.

So I’ve had this Brasilia coffee table for ages. It’s been through a few kids and I’m gonna get around to giving some love to the top. There are no gouges at all. All the discoloration looks as if the original stain is just wearing away. Even the rings look that way. They are cloudy like usual heat rings. No matter. I’m told this is a thin veneer so stripping and restraining is necessary. I’ve been told you can use a chemical stripper so that you don’t necessarily need to sand away material. Thoughts? Advice??? Suggestions where it would be helpful to repost??? Hit me up!!!
Hey all! I’ve had this a Plycraft chair about 15 years and while I still looks pretty good I’d like to find a product I can massage into the leather (i *think* it’s leather) to blend in the scratches - especially on the ottoman. I was considering Clyde’s Black recoloring balm because I’ve used products like
Leather Honey (messiest stuff ever) with not the desired outcome. Suggestions???
I’m needing help with my odometer repair on a 1991 Jaguar XJ-S. I’m betting one of those little plastic cogs that mechanically turn the numbers has disintegrated. I’ve replaced one of these before in a 91 Volvo but I don’t have the free time I once had in my youth. I’d ideally like to visit a shop in my area but that’s probably not likely. Speedo and all other gauges work fine.
Was quoted $600-$800 today for pulling the cluster, sending it off and reinstalling. I’m not saying this is ridiculous but I wanted to ask pros what they thought or if they have other suggestions. Thanks in advance.

So my kid is going to a camp where they’ll be using Minecraft Java and they ask he has login information for it. We have only played Bedrock for years and I understand these are two different sign in credentials. Do I have to buy an edition of Java to do this or do I just create a Microsoft account for him and he uses that when he gets there? What I don’t want to do is have to buy Java just to get a login.
