trying to prepare for a worst case scenario

i posted this in r/movingout, didn't get much help. so i'm 20f. before I start everything's fine, I'm safe. long story short my parents love me but are homophobic. and I've honestly put up with it for way too long. they've both used conversion therapy talking points, my mom recommended a book a couple times. i have very little freedom, at 20 I don't have a phone and I can't leave the house, I don't have money that I control. I'm not "supposed" to have social media or be writing this to you.

they do love me very much, and they do want me to move out and be independent one day. we've been traveling for years trying to find a home, we left the US. but everything is decided for me. and some days I get a lot of anxiety that my safe havens will get discovered or I'll no longer feel safe at home, and I'll have to leave prematurely. I need to prepare, just in case.

my plan is to move out safely and have my parents' support. but if I have to go, my plan is to

A) find an organization who can help me get a phone, a bank, emergency food and shelter

B) have a shop in place (I make art) that I can activate once I get my phone and bank

C) apply for student funding so I can go to school (preferably in Australia since it's lgbtq friendly), not so much for the curriculum but to be able to make friends and use student support programs

D) get a job/work remotely

E) get a dorm/my own place to stay

F) finally be me

is this a good plan? what should I do differently? and you can take a look at some of my other posts in other subs, do you think my parents are abusive? should I go asap or wait for a safer opportunity, since they're not trying to trap me forever (but that doesn't excuse their prejudice and the disrespect of who I am)?

I'd really appreciate your replies <333

i just remembered my dad has been "praying the gay away"

he made me pray to have the "original mind" (the hell does that mean???) when i first came out. i had cried so hard that day. and he's been praying since then. "we all have our issues" -_-

(i wish i could move out :/)

are my parents abusive? people if you have to ask, then the answer is probably yes...

I just find it hard to believe. so I'm 20f and I don't live a normal life. but I don't think my circumstances would be much different if my life was sorta normal.

At 20, I have no phone, no money that I can touch, no friends, no permission to leave the house, hardly any privacy. And I've explained my situation before and people always say my parents are abusive and I need to run.

I have no phone. my older sibling has a phone but they have to return it every night, and they can't use it whenever they want. Yesterday we went out and met another family, and my dad was proud that he's "kept me off" social media. (clearly he hasn't, but still -_-). if I had a phone I would be under the same restrictions as my sibling

The money is not too serious, I will eventually be making my own money sooner than later. It's just a question of if I'll be able to control it once I do make some.

I've never, ever left the house by myself. I have no friends. I've been home schooled since 4th grade and we also travel, so it's not easy to go out. But every generation says that the world is more dangerous than what it was for them, so that's not really an excuse. And my parents are overprotective anyway.

I can't have my laptop in my room, and my parents are also homophobic so I can't be my true self. I came out but they don't respect that. I have to constantly hide my profiles and anything gay that I do.

I may get on a student visa potentially, so maybe I'll finally have freedom then. And my parents do talk about me making money and moving out at some point, and they don't believe they're trapping me. But I can't help but feel like I am.

What can I do, given all my restrictions? "Move out get a job" is not possible right now, I need basic adult rights.

for anyone in their later years, what did y'all do to meet and have fun? :)

i'm really curious how y'all met and how y'all used to get down back in the day, especially when dealing with bar raids and other restrictions. seeing older lesbians brings me a lot of joy, knowing how resilient you've been ^^

one more day and then we have to say goodbye 🥺🍂

I already finished reading on webtoons, I've yet to see the actual show, but...I can't believe their story is over 😭😭

someone mentioned that I should care more about expressing myself than being positive or negative...I agree, but this is what I mean by sharing positivity. Alice is the best <333333333333333

what to do as a noob

hi everyone! ^^ I love listening to chiptune/video game songs, especially from Toby Fox Lena Raine Disasterpeace etc. and I've dabbled in making my own. But I don't know what I'm doing lol. I come from a musical family but I don't know music like that, so treat me like a complete beginner. I have LMMS, I downloaded some VSTs. How can I get started?

really digging this new style

it looks like the style of the 3DS Mario & Luigi games lol

u/jiddybug_ — 18 days ago

the sillies ^^

reuploaded this, hopefully it's not blurred. I can't wait to actually play one day lol. I've watched playthroughs up to the start of Ch. 2 and I've fallen in love. and since the majority of you said you preferred my no outline style, I wanted to practice with that before doing any animations or drawing anyone else.

u/jiddybug_ — 22 days ago

how do I upload my art without it getting blurred

I've uploaded here three times, my post before last was blurry when I drew a sprite with no outline. I tried to upload some deltarune art a couple hours ago and it was blurry again. my upload size is 512x512, and I don't have this issue on Tumblr and Instagram. and I've seen art smaller than mine on this sub and it isn't blurry. what's going on?

outline or no outline

which version do you prefer? I've always enjoyed styles that didn't have hard outlines. I haven't always been able to execute them lol

(that's daisy btw)

edit: why is the 2nd image so blurry? i've posted this twice and it doesn't look like this
