Is this going to fall off the walls

The TV is a TCL 65M6K Pro, 65”.

The manual calls for M6x16mm for the top bolts and M6x12mm for the bottom.

The heads of the bolts are about 11.4mm and the diameter of the hole in the bracket is 8.6mm.

The bracket is about 2.3mm thick and the threads for the bolts in the back of the TV are not right at the surface.

My concern is the bolt head bearing surface. I couldn’t add a washer because I was concerned about the amount of thread engagement. These bolts are stainless.

Thoughts?

New champion generator had oil in it.

I just had my new champion inverter 201423 delivered.

I’m about to add oil and notice a small amount of oil already on the dipstick. Has anyone else noticed this?

Champion tech support said that is normal because they test each unit.

After I wiped it and put it back in there wasn’t this much as shown in the picture

Are these marks on a new propane tank something to worry about?

I just picked up a new Worthington propane tank from BJs and noticed these vertical “creases” as well as random flat spots on the top of the tank. Is this normal?

Question about a furniture delivery that will sit in a terminal over the weekend.

Hey guys, apologies if this is not the correct sub for the question.

I have furniture being delivered via freight. It arrived at the terminal later than expected and I won’t be able to take delivery until Monday. They say that they don’t normally hold stuff for more than 48 hours because they are not a warehouse but will do so in this case because of the delay. In general, is my stuff safe from damage once inside the terminal? It has been there since yesterday and will remain over the weekend. I guess I’m worried about other stuff they transport in and out and don’t want furniture coming that smells like chemicals or solvents.

As far as I know it’s boxed and on a pallet.

I bumped a full 20lb propane tank with my car’s bumper pulling up to my garage

I had the mostly full tank sitting in from of my garage and I bumped it when I came home and it rolled off a few feet forward and then to the side into grass. Can I still used it? I don’t see any dents.

Ran generator with 1 quart of oil instead of the 1.2 quarts it calls for.

After breaking in my champion inverter for 5 hours I drained the oil and replaced with a new quart of 10w30 not realizing it should have been 1.2 quarts or 37 ounces.

The oil level was between high and low on the dipstick when I checked after the oil change.

I then ran it at 40% load for 6 more hours before changing the oil again.

Did I potentially damage the engine with it being 5 ounces less than max?

Champion inverter - lights flicker and voltage drops with the toaster running - medium load

Running a Champion inverter 201423 (11,000W peak / 8,000W running, propane) into my house via a 30A inlet with an interlock. Generator is not in Eco mode.

Load was modest: fridge, TV, a fan, LED lights in the hallway/bathroom/living room, and a few 40W incandescent bulbs in the kitchen. The convection toaster is 1800w on a 20a circuit.

When my wife turned on the toaster oven the incandescent lights int the kitchen visibly flickered and my outlet voltmeter dropped from 122V to 117-118V — and stayed there the whole time the toaster ran. Voltage came right back up when the toaster shut off.

Interestingly, the lights did not flicker when we ran the microwave or a different ninja air fryer

The generator’s load meter only showed 2 of 5 bars during this. So it thinks it’s barely working.

Is this normal behavior or do I have an issue with the generator?

Champion 201423 overload light came on while breaking in with space heaters.

Breaking in a new Champion 201423 inverter generator and had something odd happen.

Last week:
● 1 hour no load
● About 2.5 hours total running two 1,500 W space heaters (~3,000 W)

Today:

● Overload light came on while it was still running. It ran for 1.5 hours and I’m not sure when it came on.
● I shut it down, restarted it with no load for about 10–12 minutes, then plugged the heaters back in.
● It sputtered, the overload light came on again, and it shut down (or I shut it down—I don’t remember).
● I tried to restart it but it wouldn’t; I then realized the 20 lb propane tank was empty.

Has anyone seen the overload light come on because the generator was running out of propane? I’m wondering if the engine lost RPM as the tank emptied and the inverter interpreted that as an overload, or if I should be looking for another issue.

I’m changing the oil, putting on a full tank, and testing again, but I’m curious if anyone has experienced this.

Scat or just mud/mulch washed together after heavy rain

Found this in a large creeping juniper on a hillside next to my house this morning after a night of heavy rain. There is brown cedar mulch a few feet uphill from where this was found, so I’m wondering if the rain washed mulch into it or if it’s actually animal scat.

It’s sitting on top of the juniper, and there appears to be a wood splinter or bark fragment embedded in it. Does this look like scat (and if so, from what animal?), or does it look more like a clump of mud and organic debris that washed together during the storm?

chemistry question about bleach vapors and possible contamination

I know this sounds a little OCD, but I’m hoping for a chemistry-based answer rather than reassurance.

Yesterday I washed a load of towels and, after they had been agitating in laundry detergent for about 10 minutes, I added roughly a cup (or a little more) of regular household bleach to the washing machine.

The washer is in a small pantry/laundry room with essentially no ventilation, and the bleach smell became pretty strong for a few hours until I aired out the room and kitchen.

In that same pantry, above the washing machine, we store individually wrapped rolls of paper towels. They’re wrapped in plastic, but I don’t know if the wrapping is actually airtight; there could have been tears in the wrapping.

About 16 hours later, I opened one of those rolls and used the paper towels to wrap the boxes of my Zepbound pens that I keep in the refrigerator. I briefly thought I could smell bleach from the paper towels, although no one else could smell anything, so I’m fully aware this could just be me overthinking it.

My questions are:

Can bleach vapors (or chlorine-containing compounds from normal household bleach use) realistically contaminate the paper towels?

If so, would those vapors remain on the paper towels 16 hours later after the room had been aired out?

Is there any plausible chemical mechanism by which simply wrapping medication boxes in those paper towels could contaminate the medication or pens inside the boxes?

I’m looking for a chemistry-based explanation of what sodium hypochlorite vapors actually do in air and whether this scenario presents any realistic contamination risk. Thanks!

How should I test my new portable generator?

I am currently breaking in a champion inverter, 11,000w from Costco.

On my previous generator I remember the electrician testing it with a multimeter but I don’t remember what he did.

What should I one checking?

This is for those on the fence about starting Zepbound.

About me:
50 year old male, 5’9”
275lbs in February 2026
228.5lbs as of July 21, 2026
Currently on 7.5mg

Like many who may read this, I tried again and again to lose weight. I knew what healthy eating looked like. I understood why exercise mattered. I genuinely wanted to succeed.

And yet, no matter how hard I tried, lasting change kept slipping away.

After enough failed attempts, I started to believe I was simply missing the willpower everyone else seemed to have.

So when GLP-1 medications first came up, I was doubtful. The side effects worried me. And part of me felt that reaching for medication was just admitting defeat.

In the end, I decided to give it a shot.

It didn’t do the work for me. I still have to choose well. I still track my calories. I still have hard days.

But something more fundamental shifted.

For the first time ever, my body felt like it was on my side instead of working against me.

The medication didn’t hand me discipline.

It gave me a real chance to succeed.

If you are scared about starting, and skeptical like I was, I think you owe it to yourself to give it a try.

Couple of annoying things with my new champion inverter generator

My genny got delivered today via freight. It was on a small pallet but it was lying on its side in the truck instead of upright.

I noticed that the fuel gage is crooked and there are some dents on the frame; these might not be dents but areas that were welded together.

Anyone have the 11k watt champion inverter from Costco that can compare to my pics?

Help me pick my arrangement

I currently have a Thermadome Evo for hair and the Mitopro 350x for face and neck.

I’m currently thinking of picking up the Mitopro face mask. Is this a bad idea or redundant? Should instead return the 350x and just get the 750x upper/lower body panel?

Also, can I use the Thermadome Evo and the face mask or panel at the same time?

Anyone on statins?

My doc wants me to take statins for since my LDL is 112 and HDL is 38.

My LDL has been above 100 for at least 10 years. I had a coronary CT scan last year that didn’t show any plaque so that’s the good news.

Anyone taking a statin ?

Should I worry about this furniture delivery?

I just had outdoor patio furniture delivered today from Costco via a third party delivery company. I bought a couch and two swivel chairs. It’s kind of like a woven material with foam cushions.

On the delivery truck were a couple of used mattresses that the company was taking back. They were not in bags.

My furniture was in three separate boxes mostly taped shut but some of the tape was ripped on the bottom. I unboxed the furniture in my driveway, brought the furniture up to my patio and then pulled off the bubble wrap. The cushions were in their own closed plastic bags inside the boxes. The furniture itself was loosely wrapped in bubble wrap.

I’m worried about the used mattresses on the truck next to my furniture boxes and bedbugs. Should I be concerned here?
