I'm currently switching from Bitwarden to 1Password but I can't seem to figure out a way to get the custom fields I created on Bitwarden records to transfer to 1Password... Is there a way to do this?

If custom fields can't transfer to 1Password that will make things much harder as we transition. We have lots of custom fields...

Does anyone know if there is a way to get Custom Fields to transfer in an import from Bitwarden to 1Password?

What are your thoughts on mSecure? I used them for years before switching, in part, to Bitwarden about 2 years ago

I actually like mSecure, I think the UI is clean and it works well on my iPhone and my Mac. I can't speak for Windows or Android devices. I paid for the upgraded version back when it was not a subscription so I have a perpetual "Essentials" plan. So I continue to use it for some of those premium features.

I copied over a large number of my passwords that were saved in my browser to Bitwarden a few years ago and I have been enjoying Bitwarden too. The Chrome/Firefox extensions make it super easy to save new passwords and autofill.

I don't hear mSecure talked about on this sub very much so I was curious if anyone else has any thoughts on it. mSecure 7 is supposedly releasing soon, so that will be a welcome update when it finally launches.

iOS 27's Password app will be able to automatically change weak passwords. Could this functionality ever come to Bitwarden?

In iOS 27 the Apple Passwords app will be able to detect and automatically change any passwords that are weak or compromised. This sounds like a pretty nice feature as most people are probably too lazy to go to their account and change their password.

I'm curious if this is something that Bitwarden would be able to implement as well? But also curious if you would trust something like this. Seems like a risky thing for an app to do autonomously depending on what account needs an updated password...

Here is an article outlining the feature:

Is there one method of side-loading Apollo that is objectively better than the others?

I have Apollo running on my iPhone using Sideloadly, it was simple to setup and I was able to create and use a new Apple ID to protect my main Apple ID. I’ve also seen a lot of people using AltStore and SideStore.

I’m curious what method you used and why, is there anyone who has tried multiple and can talk about their experience using them?

Sideloadly made it very simple to sideload but I have to refresh weekly. It’s supposed to do it over WiFi but my PC is never on when it attempts and iTunes is sometimes not open… it’s fine and I don’t mind doing it manually for now.

I'm eyeing Jellyfin (currently use Plex w/ a Lifetime pass) but one thing holds me back from switching. The ease of setup for remote users. How can non-tech savvy users of my server access the content remotely? Is it as easy as Plex makes it?

Plex makes creating an account and sharing a media server super easy. All of my family members can do it and I don't have to hold their hand. How does this work with Jellyfin? Is it just as easy to watch remote or is there more complicated setup with IP addresses and Port forwarding that they would need to do on their end if they aren't local to the server?

I'm maxing out my Roth IRA and HSA but have extra money each month I want to invest. What account should I be putting it into?

So I max out my Roth IRA by contributing each month. I also contribute to a 401k through my work and my employer matches a certain percentage of my contribution. I essentially only put enough money in that account to get the "free" money my employer provides.

I also max out my HSA account and invest that each month.

Right now with extra money I want to invest I am just putting it into an Individual account, a normal investing account. Most of the money I put into index funds I dont plan to take out anytime soon but you never know. So I'm trying to decide if I keep doing what I am doing or if it is smarter to invest any extra money in my 401k or another investment account instead of using a regular individual account. What do you think is best here?

Uninsured Motorist rear ended me. Mother (insured) owns the car, son was driving. What should I do?

I was recently rear ended by someone who is not insured - but the owner of the vehicle (the mother) is insured. I have dashcam footage of the accident and a police officer came on the scene and gave them a ticket and provided a receipt to me. State Farm (the insurance company the mom uses) is saying that there isn't much they can do since the son was not insured. Is that really the case? Since the car is insured through the mothers policy?

What should I do here? I'd rather not submit a claim through my own insurance because I don't want my premiums to go up or to pay my deductible.

I have this chair at work and I really enjoy it. I want to get one for my home office. But they are super expensive! I've looked on eBay and see a few listing around the $600 price point. Which is honestly still insane to me but I am at least willing to think about that price for an office chair.

Are there other places I can look to get a good deal on these chairs? Where to companies sell their old chairs when they get rid of them?
