Between shutting down the city, obtaining a film permit with the sole purpose of selling the wedding as a PPV event for fans, and disrupting transportation for countless people in midtown, we have to get a new exposé on how out of touch the event was?

There is zero makeup or costumes to represent the werewolf, there is zero visual indicators of a werewolf. And while this silent film revolves around a concept of a werewolf but doesn’t show a werewolf, it’s still an interesting premise that could easily be the origin story for a Marvel superhero/villain.

A man needs a blood transfusion after being assaulted by rival lumberjacks, and since no human volunteers for the transfusion, they decide use a wolf for the donor (thank god the medical field has grown from this being lofted as a viable option)

For a movie shot in what I assume to be California redwood forests, it is impressive in that regard. The man becoming feral due to the wolf blood is an alright substitute for the lack of werewolf makeup/costume.

There is a particular scene that appears to show the ghosts/spirits of wolves running through the woods, and my only guess on how they made this was by overlaying film footage of a wolfpack onto a layer of footage of the forest, but it was the most impressive shot in a move that is 101 years old.

Do you need to see this in order to appreciate werewolves? Nah, but it is cool to see this and admire all the creative interpretations that followed after this.

Think of it like this: When you buy the Ultimate Edition, you'll get a DLC package of skins, vehicles, hairstyles, vehicle mods, etc. Most games with cosmetic DLCs do this.

You buy the Ultimate Edition and get the base game plus the cosmetic DLCs.

Now picture this: Instead of just unlocking your new Ultimate Edition cosmetics in the normal shops of the game, they made a few exclusive shops for you to access the DLC stuff.

It's as simple as that. The normal shops to buy clothes, fix your car, etc, will be in the game. But if you own DLC cosmetics, you'll need to get them from the DLC shops.

While I enjoyed both stories and the spider theme, I do also get the sense that depending on how the first story pans out, it could detract the suspense of the second story, or unfortunately set up a situation where the second story isn’t taken as seriously because the horror themes are tackled in the first. alternatively, you could have an underwhelming first story, and a second story that really wallops you in the stomach,

I really did like riding the coattails of a creepy spider story into another creepy spider story, putting aside anyone’s feelings about spiders for this discussion. Even if you’re not looking at the stories from a writer’s critical perspective of storytelling, I liked how there was a theme the entire episode, and both authors had their own approach to world-building/descriptors.

&gt;! The first story for me was “erm what the heck my wife has a very unhealthy fear of spiders”, while the second story gives you this detailed backstory about the history of the forest !< The delivery of each were very unique, and both seem to hit all the checkmarks of stories previously covered.

I totally believe this thematic format would work if they were covering cosmic/oceanic horror that is bite sized while still packing the punch of a 4hr episode.
