"No other way is like yours"

"There is only one way and that is your way. There is only one salvation and that is your salvation. Why are you looking for help? Do you believe help will come from outside? What is to come will be created in you and from you. Hence look into yourself. Do not compare. Do not measure. No other way is like yours. All other ways deceive and tempt you. You must fulfill the way that is in you."

This part gets me every time - don't search for help from outside, search within yourself to find the answer. Feels like the near opposite of the way we're taught to deal with problems now (therapy, advice, googling everything). I'm not saying he's right, but there's something to sit with there.

Curious if anyone here has actually tried living by this - did it help, or did it just leave you more lost?

If MBTI types were Pokemon

If you were to make each MBTI type a pokemon, what would they be? I’m an INFP, and I’d say we’re Fairy/Ghost. Maybe ENFPs are Fairy/Electric. What would you say?

Lost one of my girls to this heat (pic is blurred because of poopy paper)

Ugh, so bummed. This heat has been awful. I clearly need to up my game of heat defense if I lost one of my hens this early in the summer. Maybe it caught me off guard? I feel terrible, and my younger son is really sad. We had brought her inside yesterday to see what could be done and he got emotionally invested in her. 😔

INTP EEG/neurofeedback?

Anyone INTPs have had a QEEG done as part of neurofeedback therapy? A (self-typed) INTP I know recently had one done, and the results were really interesting, especially the excessive alpha waves. His results lined up neatly with the INTP scans in Dario Nardi’s research.

This link takes you to a graphic of the various EEGs:

Training a brat tamer 😆

Hello! I’m wondering if anyone has resources or advice on how to guide a man in developing his brat taming abilities. I greatly prefer a gentle dom/pleasure dom, and heavily lean towards bratty sub. We currently have a vague dom/sub tone together, and I’d like to see about developing it further to better align with my needs. Thanks!

INFP- moral OCD/INTJ- OCPD?

Does Moral OCD ring a bell for any other INFPs? That an INFP naturally has a tendency to those behaviors, which can become clinically diagnosable when they’re in an unhealthy phase? (I’m diagnosed with OCD and C-PTSD as part of my ever-increasing alphabet collection, but I like to say that “I have OCD, OCD doesn’t have me.”) 😆

It also struck me how OCPD might have a similar pattern in INTJs (the type I have the most experience with), where those patterns can cross over into diagnosable territory when in an unhealthier phase.

Interested in your thoughts!

Excessive daydreaming is strongly linked to widespread mental health disorders. Research suggests that maladaptive daydreaming warrants formal recognition by psychiatric professionals.

QEEGs and MBTI

Hello! I was wondering what people’s thoughts were on results of EEG scans and any connections to MBTI type (I’m thinking of Dario Nardi’s research in particular). Thanks!

INTJ mistyping as INFP?

Hello!

As stated, I was wondering if it’s possible for someone (M/38) to be an INTJ, but mistype as an INFP.

I could more easily understand an INTJ mistyping as an INFJ, but was taken aback that a man who seems very future-oriented, goals-focused, and complete with the death stare of contemplation, could somehow end up testing as the physical manifestation of a cloud (I’m INFP myself so can poke fun at my own kind).

I’m relatively new to MBTI, and am really only familiar with the INXX type descriptions. Thanks for your perspective!
