I want to read the Bible but sometimes I get confused on where to find my sources about the text itself. A lot of what I find is biased. I want to learn about how it was written, the cultural context, the actual history of the time, stuff like that.

For example, I want to learn more about demons and satan. I was recommended videos by Michael Heiser but I find he’s a bit biased since he seems to believe in demons as actual beings whereas I want to learn about the history of how humans changed the religion and implemented parts of their own culture, folklore, etc.

I know perhaps the Biblical scholars subreddit isn’t the best place, but could you give me any recommendations? I’m also a bit confused about what theology entails— is that what I should be looking at?

Sorry, I’m very new to this and I want to learn as much as possible!

I’m volunteering at a farm with 8 or so horses. They’re all very friendly and I kind of have a soft spot for one of the mares with a white mask and blue eyes. I’m still learning their names. They’re all rescues from what I’ve been told.

I’ve learned to clack and share air. I clean stalls and hopefully soon I’ll be instructed on horse maintenance— I want to learn hoof picking especially for some reason.

I’m a small person with goblin proportions and I want to ensure the horses are calm around me. I’m reading up about their body language and communication, but that’s just knowing them. I want to be more than just a random critter that exists by them, I want to be their friend and someone they can trust.

Are there any YouTube channels or books for learning how to become one of the herd? I reckon I’ll be bossed around a bit, but I don’t know if I should assert my dominance until I’ve been there for a while. This is their turf, not mine.

I know how to make horse-safe treats (won’t give any unless the owner says it’s okay). If I’m allowed to offer treats, when and how should I do so? Will this help me earn their trust and respect? or will they see me as a glorified treat dispenser?

Sorry for such dumb questions. I’m used to smaller mammals like foxes or cats. I’ve never really been around “prey” animals besides rodents and I’m sure horses are way different than rats.

I’ve checked almost all of the Italian restaurants nearby and none of them serve it.

If anyone can suggest any places that sell dried fish roe so I can make it myself that works too

I’m also a therian, fwiw! My theriotypes are mostly canids/mustelids.

In my free time I do a lot of art, usually just drawing animal OCs.
I really love going fishing, hiking, looking for bugs and animals, anything outside in nature! I collect bones, skulls and do amateur taxidermy + hide tanning. I also really dig vulture culture. I have all sorts of oddities in jars and vials ^_^ sometimes I even scavenge roadkill to keep their bones and pelts. Besides weird stuff I also collect Breyer horses and LPS.
One of my hyperfixations is Jojos Bizarre Adventure, especially part 5. I am obsessed with Bruno Bucciarati xD
One thing though, I don’t really play games, do sports or do a lot of social activities. I’m kind of a homebody, not counting all my woodland proclivities of course.
When I do decide to go out, I like visiting museums, zoos, planetariums and parks.
I’m very interested in farm life and homesteading as well; My longterm goal in life is to have a small homestead, grow food, keep chickens and other sorts of animals! I also want to have my own aviary and animal sanctuary.

What I’m looking for:

I really want a best friend first and foremost! Then things can build from that. :)

I want to meet someone I can talk about all the sorts of strange things in life with. Someone that’s just as fascinated and knowledgeable about nature, someone to send me pictures of the cool bugs they find or the animals they see. Someone to do crafts with me. Someone to watch films and listen to music and just be present in the moment with me. Have late night talks in the woods, counting the stars, going places like the zoo or museum. I want to draw my silly little character next to yours and trade doodles and memes throughout the day.
In the end I’m looking for a long-term *monogamous* relationship that hopefully leads to being someone’s life partner.
*I’m not comfortable talking to anyone in a relationship, poly, or with kids.*

Attraction wise, I’m interested in other enbies and androgynous people. I’m not very attracted to femmes or cis-passing folks. I prefer those not on testosterone but this isn’t a must! I just don’t find myself attracted to overtly masculine/hairy folks.
Genital preference is vagina.

I myself am non-binary, androgynous and trans-masc. I’m getting top surgery soon and will be on a low dose of testosterone in the future. I do plan on meta surgery but it’ll be a while before I can do that.

Right now I identify as demisexual. So if attraction is established I’d prefer to only explore it with someone I’m in a committed relationship with. Im not comfortable responding to anyone who’s in lewd subs.

I want to dress as her over the summer. What kind of clothing would she have worn before her military expedition, and, afterward, what would she have worn when she wasn’t in her armor?

Hey! I’m 22, autistic and nature obsessed, trying to find ways to get out of the house and meet people. A long while back some folks suggested the metroparks and maybe that they have some sort of groups? Does anyone know where I can find that? I tried googling it and didn’t get much.
Nature oriented groups in general would be great. I especially love insects, spiders, reptiles, birds and even stuff like bones/skulls etc.
