This is a decisive topic and I don't want arguments in the comment section on people's opinions, but I'm interested to see perspectives from all people around the world regarding this topic. I personally believe that in certain cases and with certain people, the death penalty is most definitely warranted. If you hurt children or kill purely for the thrill, then I believe there's no reason tax payers should front the bill for a life in prison. I have a vested interest in this as my best friend's sister (with down syndrome) was raped and murdered by a man that coaches our cricket team and he's served his life sentence (20 years where I live) and is now technically eligible for parole.

I smoked for nearly 20 years. For the last 8 years I tried every way of quitting. Champix, patches, lozenges etc. Even had a crack at hypnosis. Nothing ever took hold for me and just going cold turkey, despite my best efforts, just didn't cut it. 9 months ago I got on to Zyns and haven't had a single smoke since. Thankfully, I managed to get nearly a year's worth in before the ban came in today (arrived yesterday). I got lucky but I know a lot of people didn't and I'm wondering whether people will just go back to smoking now?

Here in Australia, it has to be our wildlife. Our country has a stigma of terrifying animals and everything wants to kill you but you have to be pretty unlucky to even see them, let alone be attacked by them
