I spent 7 days creating a ~240-page ebook and now I have 0 audience — how would you market it?

Hey everyone,

I recently decided to try building and selling my own digital product.

I spent around 7 days creating a ~240-page ebook aimed primarily at college students, fresh graduates and beginners who want to explore realistic ways to build side income.

The idea was to create something affordable enough for a student to actually buy, while still packing it with practical information and frameworks instead of generic "make money online" advice.

It covers things like:

- Choosing a useful skill

- Freelancing

- Digital services

- AI-assisted work

- Building a portfolio

- Becoming marketable

- Finding your first clients

- Improving your positioning

- 30/60/90-day roadmaps

- Practical worksheets and frameworks

Basically, I wanted it to take someone from:

"I want to make extra money"

to:

"I know what skill I'm going to work on, how to develop it, and what my next steps should be."

I've kept the price very affordable for students, because I don't want the product to feel like another expensive online course. The goal is to give beginners a lot of useful material for a small price.

The entire thing is now finished — ebook, cover, payment page, delivery system, everything.

And now I've reached the funny part:

I have basically ZERO audience. 😂

So I'm trying to figure out what I should do next.

Would you recommend:

A) Building an Instagram page organically around freelancing, digital skills, AI and student side income

B) Starting with a small advertising budget and testing whether people actually buy

C) Doing both — organic content + a very small ad test

D) Forgetting ads for now and focusing on Reddit, YouTube Shorts, student communities, etc.

I'm particularly unsure about spending money on ads when I have 0 audience and no previous advertising data.

If you've launched a digital product from scratch before, I'd really appreciate your advice.

Would you spend money on ads at this stage, or build an audience first?

I'm not looking for a "get rich quick" strategy. I just want to get my first few genuine customers, learn what works, and improve from there.

Any advice is appreciated 🙏

Is selling ebooks/digital guides actually worth it in 2026? Looking for real experiences

Hey everyone,

I've been researching the idea of creating and selling ebooks/digital guides, and I'm seriously considering giving it a proper try.

I've seen quite a few people claim they're making $5k–$10k+ per month from ebooks and digital products. I'm honestly skeptical about that.

I'm sure some people are doing those numbers, but I don't believe that means a beginner can just create a PDF, put it online and start making thousands.

I'm not looking for a "get rich quick" thing.

My realistic initial goal would honestly be something like $50–$100/month. If I can eventually grow beyond that, great.

I'm willing to actually put time into it — researching a topic properly, creating something genuinely useful, designing it well, learning marketing, testing different approaches, etc.

I'm especially interested in hearing from people who have actually sold ebooks, PDFs, guides, templates or other digital products.

A few things I'd love to know:

How much did you actually make in your first month?

How long did it take before you got consistent sales?

What type of digital product did you sell?

Did you use paid ads or organic traffic?

How important was having an audience/following?

What was the biggest mistake you made?

Do you still think it's worth starting in 2026?

If you were starting from zero today, what would you do differently?

And please be honest — if you tried it and made $0, I'd actually like to hear that too.

I'm trying to get a realistic picture before investing a lot of time and money into this.

Thanks 🙏

Best Local SEO/Google Business Profile tool for a small agency?

Hi everyone,

I'm a beginner running a small social media marketing agency in India, and I've recently started working with a physiotherapy clinic. Along with social media management, I also want to offer Google Business Profile optimization and local SEO.

I'm a bit confused because there are so many tools available, such as Localo, BrightLocal, GMB Everywhere, PlePer, Whitespark, etc.

Since we're still a very small agency, our budget is quite limited, so I can't afford expensive subscriptions right now. However, I'm definitely open to investing in a paid tool in the future as we grow.

My main use cases are:

- Google Business Profile audits

- Local SEO recommendations

- Competitor analysis

- Keyword/rank tracking

- Citation management

- Client reporting

I'd love recommendations for:

  1. The best FREE tools to get started.

  2. The best PAID tool that's worth upgrading to later.

  3. If you've used multiple tools, which one would you choose if you were starting a local SEO agency today, and why?

Most of my clients will be local businesses like physiotherapy clinics, dentists, gyms, salons, and restaurants in India, so I'd really appreciate advice from anyone working in local SEO

Is ₹150/day enough for Google Search Ads for a physiotherapy clinic?

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to run Google Search Ads for a physiotherapy clinic and would appreciate some advice.

The clinic currently gets most of its patients through word of mouth. It has 120+ genuine 5-star Google reviews, but its Google Business Profile and local SEO are not well optimized, so it doesn't rank well for important keywords like "physiotherapist near me" or "physiotherapist in [city]".

My plan is to:

Run Google Search Ads initially to generate enquiries.

At the same time, optimize the Google Business Profile, improve local SEO, and build citations so that organic rankings improve over time.

I have a few questions:

Is ₹150/day (₹4,500/month) enough for a physiotherapy clinic?

Roughly how many calls or enquiries can I realistically expect with this budget?

Is it enough to collect useful data in the first month, or should I increase the budget?

Any tips on campaign structure or keyword targeting for local physiotherapy clinics?

I'd really appreciate insights from anyone who has run Google Ads for healthcare or local service businesses. Thanks!

Will you still support Argentina after Messi retires?

I know a lot of people started supporting Argentina because of Messi, and there's nothing wrong with that. But for me, it's become much more than just one player.

Over the years, I've grown attached to this team. I've celebrated their biggest wins, suffered through the losses, and come to love the players and the passion they play with. Supporting Argentina now feels like a bond that's been built over time.

Of course, Argentina will never feel the same without Messi. He's irreplaceable. But even after he retires, I'll still be supporting Argentina with all my heart. This team has given me so many unforgettable memories and so much joy that I just can't imagine switching to another national team.

Will you keep supporting Argentina after Messi retires, or will your support end with him?

Argentina world cup final conspiracy !!!

I'm not saying I believe the conspiracy, but I came across it recently and a few things made me curious:

- Messi's wife and children weren't at the stadium, even though it was arguably the biggest match of his career.

- During the national anthem, the Argentina players looked unusually low on energy compared to previous matches.

- Spain are obviously an incredible team, but I was surprised by how completely Argentina were outplayed for almost the entire 90 minutes.

- Scaloni looked very emotional and was in tears while leaving for the team bus.

- The players' body language during Messi's dressing room speech after the match felt strange to me. It almost looked like they were disappointed in a way that went beyond simply losing.

Again, I'm not claiming any of this proves anything. These observations could all have perfectly normal explanations, and it's easy to read too much into body language.

I'm just curious: what do you think? Are these just coincidences that people are overanalyzing, or is there another explanation for what I noticed?

How much would you charge a dentist for GMB setup + monthly management? Body:

I'm a new social media manager and a dentist recently asked me for pricing for Google Business Profile (GMB).

The clinic already has around 250+ Google reviews, so the profile is established and doesn't need to be created from scratch.

I'm trying to figure out what's a fair price for:

- One-time GMB setup/optimization (categories, services, description, photos, etc.)

- Monthly GMB management (Google Posts, updates, photo uploads, review responses, profile maintenance, etc.)

I'm based in India, so I'd appreciate pricing from Indian freelancers/agencies, but I'm happy to hear international rates too for comparison.

What would you charge for the initial setup, and what would you charge per month for ongoing management?

How do you land your first client with zero portfolio or experience? How long did it take you?

So I started a small social media agency 3 months ago (reels, editing, content, page management — mainly targeting physiotherapy clinics). No case studies, no experience, just cold outreach from day one.

Here's the funnel so far:

1800 physiotherapists contacted via cold outreach

1200 got a pitch about what I offer

10 showed interest

2 actually followed through and gave me content to work with

8 said yes, then ghosted completely

It's been 3 months of this and I still have zero paying clients. I've done real work, made reels that performed better than these clinics' usual content, but nothing has converted into actual income yet.

I know everyone starts somewhere with no portfolio, but I'm starting to wonder if I'm doing something fundamentally wrong, or if this is just how long it normally takes.

For people who started with zero experience and no case studies — how did you land your first paying client? Realistically, how long did it take you before you made your first rupee/dollar from this kind of work?

Any advice, even harsh, is welcome at this point.

Best AI tool to create doctor talking videos with consent?

Hey everyone,

I manage social media content for a physiotherapy clinic, and I’m looking for advice on AI video tools.

The doctor has given consent to use his recorded clips/voice for clinic content, but the main issue is that he doesn’t get much time to record videos regularly. He also finds it difficult to speak scripts naturally on camera.

I’m looking for a tool that can help create short educational videos where the doctor can appear to explain topics like back pain, posture, rehab tips, injury prevention, etc.

Important points:

- We have the doctor’s consent

- The content will be for his own clinic’s social media

- Final videos will be approved by the doctor before posting

- I’m not trying to impersonate anyone without permission

- The videos are mainly for educational healthcare content

What would be the best tools for this?

My questions:

- Which tool gives the most realistic doctor-style talking video?

- Is voice cloning + B-roll better than full AI avatar videos?

- How much source footage/audio is usually needed for decent quality?

- Are there any tools that work well for Indian accents?

- What’s the safest and most professional workflow for this?

Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has used AI avatars or voice cloning for client content.

How can I get my first international SMM client for physiotherapy clinics?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been trying to get clients for my social media management agency for around 1 month.

So far, I’ve mainly been targeting physiotherapists and clinics in my country. I offered services like Instagram management, short-form reels, content planning, reel scripts, editing, posting support, and Google Business Profile optimization.

I even offered a 2-week free trial to some clinics, but most either weren’t interested, had very low budgets, or didn’t really value Instagram/social media management.

I managed to get one client, but I’m now realizing that the local market may not be the best fit for what I’m offering. I want to start targeting international clients, mainly physiotherapy clinics, sports rehab clinics, chiropractors, and similar healthcare businesses.

I’m looking for advice from people who have actually gotten international clients.

My questions are:

- Which countries should I target first for physiotherapy/clinic social media management?

- What outreach method works best for international clients: cold email, Instagram DM, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, or something else?

- Should I continue offering a free trial, or should I position it differently?

- What should my first offer be for foreign clinics?

- How do I build trust when I don’t have many case studies yet?

- Should I niche down only to physiotherapists, or also target chiropractors, sports rehab clinics, and wellness clinics?

- What would be the best way to get my first international client as a beginner?

For context, I can help clinics with short-form video content, reel scripts, content planning, editing, captions, posting support, social media management, and Google Business Profile optimization.

I’d really appreciate honest advice on what strategy I should follow, which countries to target, and how to approach clinics professionally.

Client lied about getting patients from Instagram to get me to work on a commission deal — now I don't know if I should keep going

Beginner freelancer here. I run a small social media agency (reels, content, page management) and started doing cold outreach a few weeks ago. Finally got a physiotherapy clinic to respond and show interest.

Before agreeing to anything, I specifically asked him: "Are you currently getting patients from social media? And if so, how many?" — because I wanted to make sure there was actually a base I'd be working from since the deal was commission-only (25% per appointment booked through Instagram).

He told me he was already getting 5-7 patients a month through Instagram, just "unmaintained." That sounded reasonable, so I agreed to the terms and started working.

Fast forward — I get account access. The account has 50 followers (mostly his friends), zero real engagement, and the entire grid was AI-generated images. Not a single appointment had ever come through Instagram. So basically, the number he gave me to convince me the commission model was worth it — wasn't true.

I decided to let it go anyway and just focus on building my portfolio since I'm still new to this. I made 2 reels for him. Both significantly outperformed his previous posts (way more views/likes than his account average). But here's the thing — I spent hours editing each video, and knowing I'm getting paid zero unless magically someone books through a dead Instagram page is starting to really demotivate me.

I don't think I want to keep working with him anymore. I get that portfolio building matters when you're starting out, but I feel like I'm being used for free labor based on a number that was never real.

Question for people who've been freelancing longer — was I wrong to just take his word on the numbers without asking for proof upfront? And now that I know this, is it reasonable to just walk away, or should I try to renegotiate terms first before dropping the client?

Looking for a short-form video editor for regular work

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for a short-form video editor for Instagram Reels.

The work will mainly be for local businesses, clinics, physiotherapists, salons, and similar service-based pages.

Editing style needed:

- Fast-paced reels

- Clean captions

- Jump cuts

- Simple text animations

- Basic zoom-ins

- Professional-looking output

- 9:16 vertical format

To be transparent, our current budget is not very high. We can pay around ₹200–₹250 per reel for now, but if the work is good, there will be regular work.

This can be a good opportunity for beginner/intermediate editors who want consistent projects and portfolio work.

Please DM me with:

- Your portfolio/sample edits

- Your editing software

- Turnaround time per reel

- Your pricing per reel

Thanks.

JioFiber automatically upgraded my 30 Mbps plan to 100 Mbps for free? I'm confused.

Hi everyone,

I'm a bit confused and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I purchased the ₹2,222 quarterly JioFiber plan, which was supposed to provide 30 Mbps along with the set-top box.

Just 3 days after installation, I received an email and SMS saying:

Recharge of ₹0 successful

- 100 Mbps Speed

- Validity: Active Recharge Cycle

When I checked the MyJio app, my plan had changed to Fiber_100Mbps_MDU, and I'm actually getting around 100 Mbps on speed tests.

The strange part is:

- I never requested a plan change.

- I only paid ₹2,222, not ₹3,333.

- My validity is still the same.

Has anyone else received a free upgrade like this?

Any explanation would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thane has 4x Cabo Verde’s population 😭

It's honestly insane to think about.

Cabo Verde has only around 500,000 people, while Thane alone has roughly 2 million residents.

Despite that, they qualified for their first-ever FIFA World Cup, reached the knockout stage, and nearly pulled off one of the biggest upsets in football history by taking the defending world champions Argentina to a thrilling 3-2 extra-time match.

TP-Link WR845N (LAN) vs Ant Esports AE200M Wi-Fi Adapter for Valorant – Which will give more stable ping?

Hi everyone,

I recently got JioFiber (30 Mbps) and I'm trying to get the most stable connection for Valorant.

Here's my situation:

The main Jio router is about 10 metres away from my PC.

Running a direct Ethernet cable from the main router to the PC isn't possible.

I already own a TP-Link TL-WR845N router and an Ant Esports AE200M USB Wi-Fi adapter.

So I'm confused between these two setups:

Jio Router → Wi-Fi → TP-Link WR845N (Repeater Mode) → LAN → PC

Jio Router → Ant Esports AE200M Wi-Fi Adapter → PC

My priority is the lowest and most consistent ping with minimal packet loss and ping spikes, not maximum download speed.

Has anyone compared these two setups or had a similar experience? Which one would you choose for competitive games like Valorant, and why? Any tips to improve connection stability would also be appreciated.
